"Eat Like a Snake" Burger King Triple Whopper Commercial

Baby Foodbeasts!

I couldn’t resist with this video. Here’s a young kid about to do work on a nice ice cream cone, and I just imagine someone off screen trying to grab it…but the boy ain’t havin’ it! Enjoy:

Orisue is Definitely For the Hungry!

For those unfamiliar with the hungry fellows over at Orisue clothing, they are a juggernaut of an independent label based out of Orange County, CA. These guys are a complete lifestyle brand, and we were fortunate enough to have a few pictures sent to us from their Los Angeles office while they held a photo shoot for their upcoming Summer 2008 Collection. What the hell does this have to do with food? Apparently these guys can cook up a storm at work, get a load of some of this food porn:

Pictured above is Vince of the Orisue crew, gettin’ his foodnetwork on.

Into the picture comes Holland from the online streetwear superstore,, and Orisue’s President, Allen Doan.

The Karmaloop camera crew was also in attendance doing a quick little piece on the brand for their website.

Bacon wrapped chicken eventually served with Alfredo sauce!

Spicy tuna tartar served over guacamole on a fried wonton crisp. Can you say “FOODBEASTS” ?

Travis from Orisue tells us that no eat-session with the crew is proper without rice. I definitely wouldn’t complain.

Above is some sizzling seasoned seabass gettin’ the Bobby Flay treatment.

U-N-I in the house as well.

A lot of other brands, and bloggers for that matter, seem to end up having food-related posts at least twice a week. To us, those were the entries we found most enticing, so this is one of the reasons Foodbeast exists. In the end, it looks like the Orisue crew does it hard in the clothing game, and then comes home and does it even harder on their food hustle. The above pictures are a prelude to their Summer 2008 lifestyle shoot, so make sure to keep an eye out on their website and from their select retailers to pick up some pieces of their new season! (thx: Travis)

A Day at the Office!

It’s been long days and nights at the HQ lately. Today we were graced with the presence of our friends Oliver, Henal and Chris “16 x 16” Do. While this is more of a post about our work environment, these guys did happen to run themselves through a Carl’s Jr. drive thru before getting here…always a good visual experience.

Above, Oliver tears through his crispy chicken sandwich.

Above, is my shameful attempt at growing our Indian readership.

Pictured above are Mang‘s fried zucchini, one of my personal favorites from the entire Carl’s Jr. menu. Do it right with some ranch and be in heaven.

On the phone with the Secretary of Defense is none other than Chris Do; checking up on our future expeditions, our picture storage and sportin’ a nice cup of Wholesome Choice soup. Always expect Chris to come correct with the food game.

Reg and I putting the finishing touches on the very post you’re reading right now. One day we’ll each have our own desk; until then, I hope you’ve enjoyed our cozy little office!

I love the kids! The Sour Patch Kids!

It has become ritual, for almost the past five years for my friends to shower me with packages of Sour Patch Kids and other sour candy concoctions upon the celebration of my day of birth. Indeed, one of the few who were generous enough to do so (thanks Reggie!), brought forth two luscious bags of high-calorie goodness…and oh do I love these kids. I decided to have my own award tour of such with the goodies:

There are plenty of stereotypical ways of opening the bag, the above is my preferred method.

These suckers don’t melt in your hand…so go buck wild, keep them on your tip for as long as you want!

If you’ve seen the TV commercials, these little kids are sour…then sweet. Above, the yellow flavor is attacking my boy Mike (rest assured, “no homo” was vocalized when taking this over-saturated photo).

It’s a good thing I love the yellow flavor…I saved the day.

Cinnamon Cereal Treats

Lately, I’ve taken a pretty enthusiastic interest in making food. I’ve been whipping together random snacks for all my buddies at night. It’s a really nice way to unwind at the end of the day, and all my friends seem to really enjoy what I make (I hope!), so hopefully I can keep up with this new found passion. On top of that, this is the perfect adventure to share on Foodbeast! So let’s get it started off with something super simple: Cinnamon Cereal Treats.

This is one of the easiest and tastiest recipes ever. All you need is Marshmallows, Unsalted Butter, and your favorite cereal (Cinnamon Toast Crunch @ Foodbeast HQ).

  • 6 cups cereal of choice
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini-marshmallows

1) Melt the butter over low heat in a pot.

2) Once the butter is completely melted, slowly add the marshmallows. I opted for one cup at a time.

3) Add the mixture to the dry cereal, and quickly combine. Work fast, as the marshmallow mixture will get sticky quickly.

4) Rub a thin layer of oil or butter into the pan you want to shape the treats in, then tightly press into the container with your palm. Make sure to pack it tightly, otherwise it may fall apart during eating.

5) Let it cool, pop it out onto a cutting sheet, then slice into pieces. Tip: Run your knife under hot water if you are having trouble cutting.

Cinnamon Cereal Treats

The best thing is that it’s so simple, anyone can do it. There are only 3 ingredients, and you can use any cereal you want. Make it anytime, and it surely won’t last long. Golden Grahams, Cheerios, Trail Mix? I’ve had Fruit Loops before, and I’m a better man for it. So many possibilities, so dang tasty.

Ameci Pizza & Pasta

Just like a lot of rational people, I REALLY like pizza. Any simple combination of carbohydrates and cheese is hard to mess up. Macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, nachos…the list goes on and on. That’s why on a rainy day last week I opted to grab some Italian eats at Ameci Pizza & Pasta in Irvine, CA.

Just like in Italy?

The calzone is massive. TV Remote for comparison.

A customer was trying to phone in an order for a medium pizza. He’s laughing because he had to explain that Ameci only offers “Large,” “Jumbo,” and “El Giganti” sizes. They do it major at Ameci.

Sausage Calzone. An Italian turnover made from pizza dough and stuff with cheese and toppings. Definitely the under appreciated cousin of the pizza. Go show it some love. ($5.99)

Guppy's Teahouse: Oreo Shaved Ice

A dear friend of mine recently arrived home from his University in the Bay Area, so Elie and I took him to Guppy’s Teahouse in Anaheim Hills for some dessert. It’s a trendy setting and the music is bumpin’, which makes it the perfect place to relax and chat. But more on Guppy’s later; as for now, I’d just like to share this beautiful photo:

Oreo Shaved Ice. Vanilla Ice Cream. Extra Condensed Milk.
