Today a few of us spent some time out in Los Angeles, specifically speaking Universal City. This place is truly a boiling pot of nostalgia for any young adult who grew up in or around the LA/Hollywood area. This quick little day trip will definitely spew over into a few different articles, but the first of which is regarding a crazy candy shop located on Universal Studio’s “City Walk”, a relatively new outdoor shopping mall. I was so tempted to title this article “Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory?”, but in the sheer childish hope I may one day visit that factory, I decided to describe this eatery by its human name, IT’SUGAR. Enjoy our quick little escapade:
This iconic burger is turning 40 this year. Happy Birthday! “Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.” You know how it goes. But did you know that 550 millions Big Macs are consumed in the United States annually? And that a Wisconsin man has eaten over 20,000 Big Macs since 1972. Get this…he’s actually still alive! Check out this fun birthday tribute to the Mac, complete with history of the burger and the story behind that catchy jingle.

Last time we talked about Johnny Cupcakes he had just dropped a sneak preview video of his LA shop, but it’s time to actually go out and support the guy now that an official grand opening date has been conjured up. If you’re not familiar with the man, Johnny began dealing cupcaked themed t-shirts from the trunk of his car a few years back and has turned his hustle into a multi-million dollar clothing brand. More information as always on his blog!
Armed with 16 undercover agents, wireless microphones connected to the mall’s PA system and hidden cameras everywhere, these group of improv actors did some serious work at a Los Angeles mall. This video is definitely one not to be slept on! Keep reading to see the video!
As hard as it is to believe, apparently there are 600 under performing Starbucks locations across the United States, and earlier this July, the Starbucks Corporation announced it will be closing 600 stores across America and attempting to relocate the employees to other locations. Denny’s, famous for keeping their doors open 24/7 for a sit-down meal anytime, is now offering new choices just for the 10 PM to 5 AM crowd. They are swapping out the string beans and tilapia for dressed up diner fare. They are also exchanging the traditional aprons for jeans and a tee. To appeal to the hip late night crowd, Denny’s will play alternative rock music during the late night hours. Potachos? Freshly fried and seasoned kettle chips topped with crumbled sausage, bacon, bell pepper and onion mix, cheese sauce and shredded Cheddar cheese. Damn, about time somebody came up with that. Check out the full menu and get hungry!
Believe it or not, the stuff in the mug above is going to end up being something very tasty: chocolate cake! This individual serving of chocolate cake is perfect to battle the munchies late at night. It’s also a perfect excuse to indulge in dessert at any time. Keep reading for more details.
A pizza “cloaked” in pepperoni. Make your way over to the Domino’s website and get into the mood with yet another Dark Knight themed food item. Domino’s has added some nice thematic music and a cute pizza tracker for when you place your deliveries.
