Yogurtland’s New Create Your Own Smoothie Bowls Are Made With Real Fruit

Yogurtland will soon become the land of not only frozen yogurt, but all things fruit, as the California-based frozen yogurt shop launches its newest treat, Smoothie Bowls, this spring.

Premiered in our most recent News Bites, the new dairy-free, vegan Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl is made with real blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and bananas — no sugar added*! Grab a bowl, pile up as much as you want, and in typical Yogurtland fashion, from there it’s up to you.

Yogurtland’s topping bar is a Foodbeast’s dream, with 30-plus options to choose from. And, just like their swirls of frozen yogurt or ice cream, you’re free to top your smoothie bowl with any of them. While the treat goes best with fresh fruit and crunchy granola, if gummy worms in smoothie bowls are your thing, go crazy.

We think the best addition to the smoothie bowl, is Yogurtland’s new Plant-Based Chia Pudding. The velvety, creamy delicacy has popped up in recent years as a popular addition to acai bowls and provides a boost of nutrients, including fiber and omega-3. But, unlike your average smoothie bowl shop, the amount of chia pudding in your bowl is at your disposal. Want some chia pudding with a side of smoothie bowl? Go for it.

We couldn’t help ourselves and, drunk with topping power, ended up making a massive Foodbeast version of the humble smoothie bowl. It’s unfathomable to think that it could get any bigger, but if you think you can make a better smoothie bowl then show us by taking a picture and post it using the hashtag #smoothiebowldare.

If this made you want to dive headfirst into some fruit, you’re not alone. They’ll be available at Yogurtland locations nationwide from March 2 to May 31, or until supplies last.

Nintendo Introduces New Video Game Flavors For Yogurtland

Probably the only thing that pairs nicely with the bright, vibrant, colors of Nintendo games are desserts that are just as colorful. Yogurt, perhaps. The video game company partnered with Yogurtland to create some awesome new flavors for both yogurt lovers and gamers alike.

New flavors include: Mario’s Chocolate Gelato, Luigi’s White Chocolate Pistachio, Toad’s Rocky Road and Bowser’s Dragon Berry Tart.

The popular Yogurt chain has also added some Nintendo-themed toppings to accompany the frozen dessert. You get spooky Boos and Super Stars as tiny little marshmallows.

Yogurtland is also doing a #GameOn contest where you can win a Nintendo Wii U, a year’s worth of Yogurtland and other Nintendo games each week. You just have to show up, buy some yogurt and follow the steps at the register to enter.

The promotion will be available from July 1 through Sept. 8.

If It Rains Soon, Yogurtland Is Gonna Hook Us Up With Free Yogurt

If it rains in Southern California this weekend and through the month of April 2016, Yogurtland will be rewarding the wetness with some free frozen yogurt.

The offer is being chalked up to a “rainy day special” and the yogurt chain is offering buy one, get one free at participating Southern California locations every time it rains. That’s fitting, because I thought I was the only one who craves ice cream or frozen yogurt as soon as it starts raining.

A Yogurtland representative confirmed with us the offer is only valid if it rains — but I would just shoot a quick phone call to your local Yogurtland before you make any slippery drives for Yogurt.

Yogurtland Is Giving Away FREE Frozen Yogurt For One Day Only

Yogurtland is going above and beyond to make Mondays tolerable again by giving away free frozen yogurt on February 8th in light of National Frozen Yogurt Day.

The company opened the doors to it’s first location in Fullerton, California, in February of 2006, also making this the 10 year anniversary for the healthier ice cream substitute.

The promotional campaign will only be available on Monday from 4 PM to 7 PM in all participating locations, which should be all of them. This deal also includes free toppings, because it would be pointless without them.

Fans of the yogurt chain will receive a commemorative cup to go along with their collectible Hershey’s spoon, all free in honor of the great accomplishment Yogurtland has achieved.

Yogurtland’s New Looney Tunes ‘Spinach’ Flavor Has Green Apple Pop Rocks Toppings

Well this is one way to get kids to eat their veggies. Take them to Yogurtland, trick them into filling their cup with the new Marvin the Martian Kosmic Fruit Kaboom Sorbet, and your kid will be getting a serving of pineapple, banana, lime and spinach.

The chain’s first commercial flavor to feature a spinach, this appropriately green-hued frozen treat gets extra tasty when topped off with a bag of green apple Pop Rocks for a mere 59 cents.

All jokes aside, speaking from experience, spinach isn’t a prevalent flavor when blended with other sweet ingredients. So, don’t worry, the sorbet will pretty much taste like a pineapple-banana smoothie.

The new Looney Tunes flavor joins Bugs’ Carrot Cake, Daffy’s Decadent Dark Chocolate Orange, and Tweety’s Lemon Cream Cookie — all now available through September 15. Keep an eye out for Road Runner’s Cactus Berry Tart and Tasmanian Devil’s “Devil’s” Food Cake, rolling out August 19th and September 2nd, respectively.
