Fried Bologna Sandwich at Slater’s 50/50

Slater’s 50/50 popular Southern California burger bar is celebrating the month of November and the opening of their third location (San Diego) with their latest burger of the month — Fried Bologna Sandwich. The sandwich features extra thick Jalapeno loaf bologna, French’s yellow mustard, Vienna dill pickle chips, American cheese and raw yellow onions between grilled brioche. The “burger” will be available at all three locations starting today priced at $9.95:

Roast Beef and Smoked Gouda Sandwich

In your face you boring played-out turkey-on-wheat sandwich that I have had for lunch every day for the past week! I think I’m going to take a page out of Beyonce’s life and upgrade to this Roast Beef and Smoked Gouda Sandwich! This bad boy sandwich was made by the folks at Wisconsin Cheese and is loaded with their signature Wisconsin Smoked Gouda. It is also stuffed with 6 ounces of roast beef, sliced yellow onions, avocado, barbecue sauce and garlic salt all housed in a hoagie bun! This was probably taken out of context, but I’m pretty sure Charlie Sheen was referring to this sandwich when he said “Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.”  Winning. Bacon Jam & Cheese Panini

The sheer amount of panini pressed sandwiches my friends and I have been swimming through recently would baffle you. If you haven’t invested in a press of your own (they’re cheap), you’re definitely blowing it on your crispy sandwich game. Even with all the crazy concoctions we’ve been cooking up, none have gotten as crazy as this: a Bacon Jam & Cheese Panini! What we’re looking at are small ciabatta rolls that have been pressed and stuffed with bacon jam and cheese.
