Massive Record-Breaking Cheese Board Weighs Over 4,000 LBS

Guinness doesn’t just go around recognizing everything as a record, but this massive cheeseboard in Madison, WI, definitely made the cut.

With over 145 different types of cheeses, the 35-foot long board consisted of just about every cheese you could think of.

Put together by the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, the Guinness World Record breaking cheese board checked in at 4,437 pounds (just over two tons). That’s the weight equivalent of four sets of beluga whale testicles.

The previous record was held by Bel Leerdammer in the Netherlands, as two local cheese factories joined forces to create a 3,375 pound cheese board back in 2015.

This Wisconsin cheese board destroyed that record by over 1,000 pounds of cheese.

It only makes sense that Wisconsin holds this new record, as they are the state that makes 48 percent of the country’s specialty cheese. As any Packer fan will tell you, it’s pretty much the cheese capital, and deserves this type of honor more than anyone.

McDonald’s Is Selling Deep-Fried Cheese Curds In Wisconsin

McDonald’s is testing a brand new menu item that cheese lovers are gonna want a piece of. The fast food chain has just begun selling battered, deep-fried cheese curds in Wisconsin, reports Brand Eating.

The solidified pieces of curdled milk are a huge element of Wisconsin cheese culture. As of Nov. 28, McDonald’s will make the fried curds available throughout the state. Initially, the test began in the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin only.

Unfortunately, with all the cheese curds available in the state, McDonald’s will only keep the item around for a limited time. Hopefully if tests do well, we can hope to see these deep-fried beauties make a national expansion.

Until then, we’ll be living vicariously thorough our Wisconsin brothers and sisters.

Here’s How These Thieves Stole $160,000 Worth Of Cheese

Thanks to a collection of cheese thieves causing an uproar in Wisconsin, I’ve decided to teach you, the good people of the cheesiest country in the world, how to properly steal cheese.

First, you’re going to need to find a large source of cheese, and I don’t mean your dad’s lame jokes, I mean real cheese. According to Consumerist, one good place to start is storage facilities in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Just last week, a group of thieves stole a huge chunk of Parmesan cheese from said facilities.

Next, you’re gonna need a ride of some sort. Every good cheese thief has a getaway vehicle, or else we would be hearing stories of cheese thieves getting arrested a lot more often. If you don’t have a cheese vehicle, you can always do what thieves do and steal one, just like the criminals last Friday did.

These cheesy go-getters got their hands on a semi-tractor packed to the brim with cheese, then simply took off and never looked back, cruising around with a shit ton of that dairy goodness valued at around $90,000.

Lastly, you’re going to need a transfer point. Any decent heist involves the transfer of goods from one vehicle to another vehicle, even if it’s not necessary. It just has to be done, for aesthetics.

The cheese thieves did just that, by driving the semi full of cheese to their own truck, transferring the goods, then allowing the truck to be left for dead. When authorities finally managed to find the truck, they were shocked to see that it was empty. One Lieutenant Todd Grenier made an astute observation, saying, “We found that the trailer was empty.”

Riveting stuff, lieutenant.

A word of advice to all my cheese-thieving adventurers: brie all that you can brie, and eventually, you too will see cheddar days.

Ahhh, college. It’s where children blossom into adults, and then keep blossoming into larger and larger adults, because the main point of most nights is to eat two entire pizzas, plus a side of pizza, at 3am.

But we can’t go back, no matter how hard we petition the admissions office at DeVry. So instead, we took 25 of the drunkest schools — Playboy’s 10 Top Party Schools of 2013, plus a handful of others famous for an extreme aversion to sobriety — and rounded up glorious tales of consumption. Then we assembled them in a format that in no way hilariously mimics any food guide that has existed in the form of a little red book you keep in your bathroom.

Insane Bloody Mary Topped with Popcorn, Nachos, Burgers & Obligatory Bacon

We didn’t think it was possible, but this Bloody Mary may be more insane than this previous behemoth.

This $5 drink-turned-smorgasbord hails from O’Davey’s Pub, a restaurant in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin that unleashes a new food-stuffed cocktail on the first Sunday of every month.

This edition — piled high with cheese curds (duh, it’s Wisconsin), popcorn, nachos, pickles, sausages, soft pretzels, bacon and burgers — was created in honor of Opening Day for the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s available for drinking (eating?) after 11:30 a.m. while supplies last.

If you don’t live in Wisconsin, you likely just missed the Cinco de Mayo version. But, hey, June is full of opportunities. Red, white and blue foods for Flag Day? Beef jerky bourbon with a fishing pole as garnish for Fathers Day? The possibilities are endless and a little scary.

Alligator Sandwich

Word around the blogs is that Marley’s restaurant, a Caribbean themed restaurant out of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, serves up a mean Alligator Sandwich. Since we can’t be in all places at once, we’re lucky that our friend Nick was able to swing by in a drunken stupor and try it out for himself. The sandwich features breaded and deep fried alligator meat, served on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions between a halved hoagie bun. Nick’s description of alligator meat was that “it tastes like a fishy version of chicken.
