Cuter Than Cute: Clever Winnie the Pooh Lids

Winnie the Pooh Glassware

Design studio Nendo likes to have fun when it comes to creating clever kitchen goods, like their tricky Starbucks mugs and double helix chopsticks. Most recently, the company teamed up with Walt Disney Japan to design a glassware collection around Winnie the Pooh, and it’s cuter than cute.

Nendo created these silicone accessories that feature Pooh doing what he does best — climbing branches, holding onto balloons and dunking his head in what’s usually a honey jar. Plus, they serve as totally functional lids! Also included in this collection are silicone coasters with designs like Pooh stuck in a hole and a jar of honey.

OH, BOTHER: This Bear Cub Got His Head Caught in the Cookie Jar

I mean, it had to happen eventually, right? A bear cub actually had a Winnie the Pooh moment and got his head stuck while trying to grab a sweet treat.

This 6-month old bruin was found in a Ringwood New Jersey tree Friday with an oversized animal cracker jar attached to its head.

Larry Ragonese, spokesman for the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) believes that the bear was digging through the trash, tried eating the remnants of a thrown out cookie jar, got stuck, freaked out and climbed 40 feet up a tree.

The Wanaque Fire Department had to be called as they used a bucket truck to climb up and help get the little black bear down from the tree. The police were even called and helped cast a net under the tree in case the bear fell. They even called Christopher Robin to help talk the bear out of jumping. OK, we made that last part up, but it looks like they took every precaution to safely get this bear down.

The fire department carefully cut the jar off the cubs head, dunked him like an Oreo into some cool water and was taken to a local rehabilitator.

Although a little dehydrated, it seems the bear will be OK.

Winnie the Pooh Bento Box

Winnie the Pooh is a character often overlooked by the foodie community but this bento box make sure that trend didn’t continue! Again made by the spectacular artists at mymealbox, this Pooh box (terrible pun) is made with a combination base of pasta and eggs, the little facial details ade of brown colored pasta and the yellow of egg sheets. The red parts of Pooh were made of red colored pasta with the entire face sitting on a contrasting bed of white rice. I don’t know about you guys, but I want to hit this entire box with a heavy drizzle of Sriracha and go to town. Eat on FOODBEASTS. Eat on.

Peanut Butter Honey Bars

Even Winnie the Pooh, the most famous connoisseur of honey I know, would turn head-over-paws over these Peanut Butter Honey Bars! Other than being filled with honey, these bars consist of brown sugar, peanut butter, a thick coating of chocolate and a good helping of crushed nuts on top! I bet I could get a sweet penny selling some of these to Winnie and his friends. You think? (Thx MissInTheKitchen)
