Wienerschnitzel’s Now Selling Their Secret Chili Sauce By The Can

Wienerschnitzel chili has been a staple in fast food over 50 years, and now you’ll be able to purchase cans of it to take home and enjoy.

The secret meat-based chili sauce comes in a 15-ounce can, with the familiar Wienerschnitzel red and yellow colors adorning it, all at a $5 price point.

This means you no longer have to press the poor employee for an extra side of chili, and you don’t have to continually make the drive when you get a craving. You can stock up on these cans and top your own homemade hot dogs, burgers, or even spaghetti if you so choose.

“Our fans were always asking our team members if they could buy the chili sauce we use on our hot dogs, burgers and fries,” Doug Koegeboehn, Chief Marketing Officer for Wienerschnitzel said. “We listened and we’re happy to offer our customers a new way to enjoy Wienerschnitzel at home whenever or however they want.”

Wienerschnitzel first gave these chili cans a whirl in 2018, selling them on-site only, but now they’ll be available for purchase at all participating store locations.

Wienerschnitzel Is Now Selling Their Chili In A Can

There’s just something so addicting about fast food chili that makes me order it by the bowl, add some shredded cheese, and eat it straight with a spoon. If you’re one to devour Wienerschnitzel’s chili sauce, regardless of hot-dog shaped vessel, you can now get your hands on the hearty fast food stew by the can.

Wienerschnitzel is offering their iconic chili sauce in shelf-stable cans that you can order online. The 15-0unce cans are now sold online through Wienerschnitzel’s website and cost $5 each. Each can serves about seven people, or one really hungry chili lover.

You can eat the chili sauce by itself, or throw it on any food you think needs an added touch of chili — hot dogs, burgers, French fries. Personally, I would love a homemade breakfast burrito packed with Wienerschnitzel’s chili sauce.

Wienerschnitzel Debuts Breakfast Cereal Milkshakes, Kind Of Like Burger King’s

Last year, Burger King introduced a line of breakfast cereal shakes to the fast food world. These included Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Froot Loops, and Lucky Charms.

Well, it looks like Wienerschnitzel is following in Burger King’s footsteps by releasing their own line of breakfast cereal shakes.

Announced on their Facebook page, the three new flavors are: Cocoa Krispies, Trix, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

A Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake was also Burger King’s latest addition to their limited time menu last October. Wonder if the burger chain will reciprocate with their own versions of Cocoa Krispies and Trix shakes?

The three shakes will be available at participating Wienerschnitzel locations from now through April. You can get one for $2.99 with a coupon found here.

Hmm, if we had to choose, a trip to Wienerschnitzel would probably be more worthwhile for our gut. We do love our chili dogs.

Wienerschnitzel Adds TAMALES For The Holidays

Every year, once the holiday season rolls around, our stomachs can’t help but rumble over the fresh tamales being made all around the country. Even if your family isn’t one to make the dish each year, there are still ways of getting your hands on the seasonal item.

If all traditional venues fail, there’s always the fast food route to comfort food.

Wienerschnitzel announced they’ll be serving three special shredded beef tamales this holiday.

Guests can choose from a Classic Tamale (topped with chili and cheddar cheese), a Southwest Tamale (topped with guacamole, jalapeños, chili, and cheese), or a Hatch Tamale (topped with green chilies, chili, and cheese).

Shoot, they had us at chili.

The tamales will be available at all participating Wienerschnitzel locations beginning Oct. 30 and will be sold through the month of December.

Wienerschnitzel Adds Massive Gourmet Sausages For Oktoberfest

October is only weeks away and Wienerschnitzel has already begun celebrating. The fast food chain that specializes in hot dogs has launched a line of massive gourmet sausages for customers to sink their teeth into in celebration of the German holiday.

Brand Eating reports that two new sausages hit the menu this fall: a quarter-pound gourmet bratwurst and Italian sausage

The bratwurst is topped with grilled onions and mustard and is squeezed into a brat bun. Topped with peppers, onions, and mustard, the Italian sausage is served on a brat bun as well.

Both look insanely juicy.

Patrons can find the two new Oktoberfest items at participating Wienerschnitzel locations for a limited time through Oct. 29. While you’re there, a chili dog or two wouldn’t hurt either.

Wienerschnitzel Finally Has Schnitzel… Kind Of

Wienerschnitzel has made its name in the fast food world by selling a wide variety of hot dogs.

However, the full name of the company is actually the name of a Viennese cuisine classic. In Austria, the wienerschnitzel is actually a deep-fried cutlet of veal that would never fly here in the United States, as there’s something about veal that turns us off.

Now, Wienerschnitzel will finally be selling “Schnitzels,” but instead of veal, their version is made out of chicken and encrusted in a potato chip breading before being deep-fried. The hot dog chain will offer three different varieties of Chicken Schnitzel sandwiches starting May 1st.

Classic Ranch, BBQ Bacon, and Blazin’ Bacon Guacamole Chicken Schnitzel sandwiches will all be available for a limited time nationwide starting May 1st at prices of $3.49, $3.99, and $4.49 respectively.

While it’s not an exact copy of the schnitzel, it’s cool to see Wienerschnitzel finally attempting to live up to its name.
