Simone Biles Graces Iconic Wheaties Box to Celebrate the Cereal’s 100th Anniversary

Continuing their run of timeless cover features, Wheaties is celebrating their 100th anniversary with Simone Biles, the world’s most decorated gymnast. The cover feature is a part of The Century Series and is Biles’ first time gracing the iconic orange Wheaties box.

With 100 years in the game, Wheaties knows a true champion not only excels but also uses their platform for positive things. Biles joins a long line of champions that began in 1934 with Lou Gehrig, another athlete regarded as one of the greatest of all time.

Not only has Biles broken barriers in gymnastics, she’s also been a major advocate for mental health reform in and outside of sports and providing education to adopted and foster kids.

Wheaties Just Released An Official Beer, Feel Free To Drink It For Breakfast

Wheaties announced that they’re stepping into the world of beer brewing. According to Ad Age, they’re calling it HefeWheaties.

Created as a result of a partnership between Wheaties and craft brewer Fulton, the Hefeweizen beer will be available for a limited time. While the new beer won’t actually taste like cereal, it will contain that signature malted wheat. Get it?

HefeWheaties will be available in packs of four as well as 16-ounce cans on Aug. 26. Sadly, they’ll only be available in Minnesota as the company doesn’t play to make or distribute it outside of the state. If people react well, however, there may be plans for a wider release.

Move Over Wheaties, Detroit Tigers Pitcher Has Taco Bell Before Every Game

The winner of both the 2011 Cy Young Award-winner and the American League MVP, Justin Verlander, shared his secret to baseball success with Conan O’Brien earlier this week. It wasn’t Wheaties, it wasn’t a hard boiled egg or specific carbo-loading, instead, it’s a very specific Taco Bell meal.

The Detroit Tigers pitcher claimed he gets the same order every time — three crunchy Taco Supremes sans tomato, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch and a Mexican pizza, sans tomato. Not sure how this fella deals with the mid game diarrhea, but it’s his thing, we’re not going to question it.

Here’s a look at his appearance on Conan:
