Wendy’s Spicy Nuggets Are Returning Thanks To Chance The Rapper

The random disappearance of Wendy’s spicy chicken nuggets was one of the more tragic moments in fast food history.

The nuggets were a clear fan favorite, and even Chance The Rapper felt the pain when they were discontinued.

Chance tweeted out Saturday, “Positive Affirmations for today: I WILL have a good day, I Will succeed today, Wendy’s WILL bring back spicy nuggets at some point please please Lord let it be today.”

Apparently Wendy’s is very much aware of our sentiments toward the spicy nuggets, and responded to Chance’s tweet, saying, “Y’all keep asking, so here’s your chance. The people in charge say if you guys can get our tweet (this one right here) to 2 Million likes, they will bring SPICY CHICKEN NUGGETS BACK.
Let’s freakin’ do this!”

Yes, the power was put in our hands, and with one 2 million likes achieved on the weekend tweet, Wendy’s will bring back its spicy nuggets.

Apparently, this whole time, all we needed was Chance The Rapper to speak up on the issue.

That two million “like” mark actually positioned Wendy’s in the top 5 all-time, with the likes of Barack Obama, Ariana Grande, and Ellen Degeneres, who famously tweeted out a superstar-filled selfie at the Oscars, to the tune of 2.3 million likes.

At least on Twitter, Wendy’s has promised their return. Now we just have to wait for an official date and time.

We did it, y’all. Good job. And thanks, Chance.

Fast Food Sweets What's New

Wendy’s Just Turned Their Frosty Into Loaded Cookie Sundae Treats

Outside of the Baconator, the most renowned food Wendy’s has to offer is their Frosty. The crowd favorite frozen treat is getting reimagined into a dessert that’ll have folks more excited than Kevin Harlan cheering about these treats.

These new Frosty Cookie Sundaes are simple in design, but have plenty of contrast in texture and flavor going on. The cold, creamy Frosty is balanced by the crunch of pieces of chocolate chip cookies and the warm richness of Ghirardelli chocolate sauce.

Wendy’s is serving up two different varieties of these sundaes, with Vanilla Frosty and Chocolate Frosty being your options. Each cost $1.99 to get, and obtaining some fries to dip into the sweet treat is as encouraged as ever.

The Top 10 Fast Food Seafood Items Across The USA, Ranked

Fast food seafood has gotten a bad rap over the years, and it’s easy to understand why. Nobody ever put respect on fish’s name, leaving their sole pescatarian option to be overcooked, mushy, and not too pleasant.

Times have changed, though, and with that, the quality of the industry’s fishy fare has shot up. Whether it be whole fish filets or irresistible pieces of shrimp, there’s a lot more being offered than before. The fish sandwich may still dominate, but it’s gone from being overlooked to getting a ton of attention.

These are the best of what fast food seafood has to offer, from timeless fish sandwiches to seafood staples that could dominate for years to come.

When making this list, only items from major fast food chains were looked at and ranked on quality, popularity, and flavor. There will be some big names not on this list (sorry, Ronald), but that’s just indicative of how some newer chains have risen to the challenge and created seafood items that are just… well, better.

10) Tuna Pie, Jollibee

The fried chicken icon of the Philippines is no one-trick pony, as its entire menu is straight fire. When it comes to seafood, it’s a little harder to find at the Bee, but this Lenten LTO is the best they have to offer. While the fact that it’s basically canned tuna in a cream sauce makes it less appealing, you have to appreciate its zesty, peppery flavor, and flaky pastry crust.

9) North Atlantic Cod Sandwich, Culver’s

A post shared by Culver’s (@culvers) on

To make it on this list as a standard fish sandwich, you need to get some basics right: a crispy exterior, intriguing fillings, and a well-cooked piece of fish. Culver’s hits on all of those marks, with the mixture of shredded cheese and lettuce and a light amount of tartar sauce (McDonald’s, take note) accentuating the flavors of the cod. It does need a bit more seasoning, however.

8) Fish Slider, White Castle

The phrase “simple is better” definitely applies to White Castle’s Contribution to the fast food fish game. They don’t church theirs up with tartar sauce or lettuce, using just a slice of American cheese to top their Alaskan pollock. While the fish choice itself is “meh,” given how ubiquitous and overcooked pollock tends to be, their flavor is extraordinary given the slider’s size.

7) Cajun Fish Sandwich, Arby’s

A post shared by Arby’s (@arbys) on

Arby’s would be a lot higher on this list, to be honest, if they had decided to bring back the Nashville Hot Fish Sandwich from the LTO grave. That version had a ton of kick and was a tasty contribution to the fast food game. Sure, the Cajun remoulade on this version has some zest and punch, and gives the massive filet of pollock an extra hit of flavor. It’s no Nashville Hot, though.

6) Shrimp Po’ Boy, Popeyes

Popeyes knows how to do fried shrimp proper. They’re coated with the same seasoning as Popeyes’ top-notch fried chicken, elevating the crustaceans to a new level of flavor. Add in the fact that you get a pretty generous amount per baguette-sized sandwich, and you have a satiating meal of seafood that does more than most fish sandwiches in the game even attempt to do.

5) North Pacific Cod Sandwich, Wendy’s

Who does the generic fish sandwich the best? That answer, as said by several others in the past, has to be Wendy’s. It’s something about the punchiness of their tartar sauce, how the cod is cooked decently, and how the fish has the right crunch. It’s more of a quality thing than a “we put other stuff on it” that makes their variant as good as it is. Of course, it is just your standard fish sandwich, and while it’s a damn good version of it, there’s other things out there that showcase seafood better.

4) Jumbo Shrimp Tacos, Del Taco

Del Taco’s take on the Baja-style seafood taco is surprisingly solid. The shrimp are coated with just the right amount of seasoning, and the crisp lettuce and tomato offset it perfectly in terms of contrasting textures. The white sauce and fresh lime on top elevate this option into the top 5, because they provide the acidic punch and creamy consistency of tartar sauce with just a fraction of its heaviness. This is my personal go-to option for a seafood snack during the Lent season.

3) 2 Cod, 6 Shrimp Platter, Long John Silver’s

A post shared by Long John Silver’s (@longjohnsilvers) on

Those looking to treat themselves to a seafood feast need to track this down. Being one of two fast food seafood specialists in the country, Long John Silver’s knows how to give cod the appropriate TLC, keeping it crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The seasoning is a little too close to KFC’s, but few can compete with their batter, or the size of this platter.

2) Giant Fish Sandwich, Captain D’s

A post shared by Captain D’s Seafood Kitchen 🐟🍤 (@captaindsseafood) on

In the duel of the fast food seafood specialists, Captain D’s is the people’s choice. Folks regard it as better because of its taste, and this Giant Fish Sandwich shows it off best. The fish pieces themselves are massive in terms of both length and flavor, and an appropriate amount of tartar sauce helps make this one of the most decadent sandwiches you can get in fast food. It’s better than its fishy rival and arguably the best fast food seafood item out there… save for one that honestly, nobody even comes close to touching.

1) Honey Walnut Shrimp, Panda Express

Cue the Thanos snap. Seriously, watching the rest of the fast food seafood game compare to Panda’s signature shrimp is like watching the Avengers trying to KO Marvel’s Mad Titan at the end of Infinity War. How can one compete with its sweet, savory flavor, balanced with the crunch and slight bitterness of walnuts? Nobody has been able to create something within reach yet, so until the fast food seafood universe gets its own Captain Marvel, Honey Walnut Shrimp will tower over anything else that tries to one-up it.

Wendy’s Goes Full Savage, Disses All Their Rivals In New Mixtape

If y’all thought Nas’ “Ether” was the greatest diss track of all time, you’ve got another thing coming. A new Wendy’s mixtape that takes shots at all of their fast food competitors just dropped, and the chain held nothing back.

The new mixtape, called “We Beefin?,” features five separate songs that are low-key fire. All but one are targeted specifically at Wendy’s competitors, and the queen of fast food social media wastes no time firing off shot after shot against them. Here’s some lyrics showcasing some of the more brutal disses that Wendy’s drops.

On Wingstop

You shoulda just took this route
Thinking you could wing it
They stopped shopping with ya
No wonder your names repeat it
Yo’ stock, looking depleted
Yo’ wave, is just receding

– from “Twitter Fingers”

It’s queen Wendy up in this thang
You can’t beat us serving just thangs
Y’all too chicken for this beef
I’ma leave you resting in grease

– from “Rest in Grease”

Wendy’s has been filling out some explanations on Genius, and on the line “Y’all too chicken for this beef,” they specifically mentioned Wingstop in the commentary. Ouch.

On Burger King

They love Wendy’s ’cause everything is so quality
Can’t be no king, yo’ burgers ain’t the finest thing
I can’t believe you peasants have the audacity
You took a L the day you thought to come after me
So whats the beef?

– from “Holding it Down”

The problem is you didn’t recognize I give no clucks
So wrap it up, turn these chickens to rubber ducks
And BK, don’t think that you got away
You copied my old menu and put it out on replay

– from “Holding it Down”

On Hardee’s

My bars chilly better grab a sweater
You blocked my tweets can’t squash the beef
Now check my feed and yo’ eyes swellin’
How you love that? These straight facts

– from “Rest in Grease”

Hardee’s blocked Wendy’s on Twitter last year after an insult so brutal they had no other response.

On McDonald’s

You number 1? That’s a joke
Why yo’ ice cream machine always broke?
Why yo’ drive thu always slow?
Why yo’ innovation just can’t grow?
It’s queen Wendy, need I say mo’?

– from “Rest in Grease”

Got nothin’ to hide, we fresh on the side, but
You hide from funk
That’s prolly why you go paint your face
My meals are great, people lining up like everyday
Leave you in shame, make you run back to Cirque du Soleil
That’s cold game
But what you expect from tryna play
Won’t say no names but you a clown

– from “Clownin'”

That GIF pretty much sums up Wendy’s mixtape in a nutshell.

Get a Free Burger From Wendy’s Literally From The Palm of Your Hands

Why buy one burger when you can buy two?

Yes, the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast, the burger. Now this isn’t a “Royale with cheese,” but Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich, or the Dave’s Single Burger are literally in the palm of your hands, until March 31.

Here’s how.

Ya got an iPhone or Google Pixel or some other smart phone do-hickey right? Well, you pick that up, you download the Wendy’s app, go into “Account” and then get to “Offers” and you’ll see three deals ready for the picking.

On top of getting the two sandwiches for one deal, there’s $2 off any full-size salad.

I just tried to make sure this worked and it took me about five minutes to install and confirm emails to get to the offer. Seems like you can do this while waiting in the drive-through line.

But that’s not all that Wendy’s is offering. On Feb. 23, through its Twitter account, Wendy’s announced their Double Stack Burgers to be newly priced at $1.

So if there’s any other reason to go to Wendy’s besides their nuggets, it’s this deal, also two burgers for one dollar is the future that we must embrace.

Wendy’s Blasts McDonald’s Frozen Beef With FIVE Super Bowl Ads

Folks, Wendy’s just spent millions of dollars on an all-out offensive against McDonald’s, and it was brutal.

Wendy’s took out a total of five different Super Bowl ads against their golden-arched rival. Considering that a 30-second ad this year cost $5 million, according to Business Insider, it’s clear that Wendy’s is willing to spend big to set their narrative against McDonald’s.

The story? That McDonald’s sells flash frozen beef, whereas Wendy’s serves theirs fresh, allowing them to cook them to order and make them juicier. It’s a sharp quality angle that Wendy’s appears to be hoping to use to give them a position against McDonald’s, who is currently killing it in the fast food value menu game (and has their own fresh beef patties coming soon).

With sales and profits falling short of expectations in the most recent fiscal quarter, Wendy’s went for a big move in the Super Bowl. They chose to bring the internet savagery of their Twitter account onto the big screen, ripping McDonald’s for their frozen beef across all five commercials. Their mud-slinging was like that of an election campaign, even going as far as to call the Golden Arches the “frozen arches.” Ouch.

One of those that aired, “Iceberg,” is shown above, and you can view the remaining four Super Bowl ads below:

“We Did Some Light Stalking”

“Flash Frozen? We Prefer Fresh, Never Frozen”

“Fresh Never Frozen in Every Hamburger Every Day”

“Honesty is the Best Policy”

With the relentless assault just launched against them, McDonald’s may try to fire shots back at Wendy’s. But be warned: few mess with the queen of fast food Twitter and walk away unscathed.

Burger King Tried Being Cute On Twitter And Wendy’s Destroyed Them

Wendy’s is known for savage comebacks on Twitter, and its latest victim is Burger King., who was just doing its due diligence by responding to a fan.

It almost felt like Burger King was being set up by this Twitter user, as she complimented them, but threw shade at Wendy’s at the same time:

Burger King bit, and responded with, “Treat her like the princess she deserves to be.”

As soon as Wendy’s saw the tweet, they went along with the royal theme, saying, “If you’re looking for a princess, you might want to let it go. Not interested in the frozen beef kingdom.”

It was almost like they had this Frozen pun in their back pocket, just waiting for Burger King to pop off.

Everything about the tweet was perfect, and in this fast food game of thrones, Wendy’s now sits atop.

Wendy’s Hosted A Savage AmA on Reddit And It Was HILARIOUS

We all know that Wendy’s is an absolute savage on Twitter, especially over the past year. This recent Wendy’s AmA may actually solidify that, highlighting the greatest series of vicious clapbacks and call-outs that we’ve ever seen from the fast food chain.

The fast food Internet icon recently hosted an “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit, with the social media team responding to a whole host of both bizarre and fun questions. While we didn’t get too many insider details on how their team actually works, we do have a bunch of hilarious statements to comb through and bust our guts over.

Here are some of the more brutal quotes from the AmA session, starting off with a roast of one of Wendy’s favorite targets, McDonald’s.

While the Wendy’s AMA proved just how savage their social media team is, it also revealed just how far the chain is willing to go on the internet.

Wendy’s also isn’t afraid to recognize and respect the other social media kingpins out there.

And, of course, Wendy’s couldn’t leave without having a bit of fun. They somehow managed to go full meta and time travel in their own AmA:

Never change, Wendy’s. Your social media game is already at a hall-of-fame level.
