This Acai Topped Waffle Is The Superfood Breakfast We Need

Foodbeast and Hubert’s Lemonade are bringing together brunch lovers from all over to celebrate the newest food festival to hit Playlist Live in Orlando: BRUNCHFEST.

For anyone ready to introduce more superfoods to their diet: meet the Acai-topped Waffle with Nutella.

Created by Purple Ocean Superfoods, the sweet new item features a homemade buckwheat waffle topped with a generous scoop of acai — known to carry plenty of antioxidants. The acai is drenched in coconut oil and surrounded by an assortment of fruits before the finishing touches of nutella, powdered sugar, and honey are added.

Paired with Hubert’s Pineapple Ginger Lemonade, the sweet new dish truly lives up to the title of “Superfood.”

The Acai-topped Waffle can be found exclusively at Foodbeast’s Brunchfest, presented by Hubert’s Lemonade at Playlist Live. Brunchfest will be running in the Food Truck Area from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, April 28th, and Sunday, April 29th.

Tickets to the event, happening at the Orlando World Center Marriott, are still available.

KFC Canada Wants You To Wrap Your Mouth Around This Waffle Double Down

We’ve tried fried chicken and waffle sandwiches before, but never one where the fried chicken pieces are the buns. Yes, exactly like the infamous KFC Double Down.

Brand Eating reports that KFC Canada is doing their own take on the iconic pairing of chicken and waffles with a new Waffle Double Down.

The Canadian exclusive sandwich features a Belgian waffle resting between two pieces of fried chicken and served with a special maple aioli sauce. Luckily, it doesn’t come with cheese because that may just be too much for us.

Fried chicken lover and fellow FOODBEAST Reach Guinto said:

“Sounds like a breakfast a lumberjack would wake up to.”

He’s not wrong. I could see myself enjoying this with some black coffee in my best red flannel shirt.

Residents of Canada can find the limited-time Double Down beginning March 26 where it will be available at participating KFC locations.

Wonder if any version of the Double Down will return to the US? Lowkey miss that ridiculous sandwich.

Is there even a way to upgrade a dish that’s already pretty much perfect?

This Korean Barbecue Chicken & Waffle Sandwich Is About To Spice Up Your Summer

For the last few months, Bruxie: The Original Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich has been offering a bevy of various limited-time-only themed fried chicken and waffle sandwiches, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be stop anytime soon (we hope).

Bruxie has officially debuted their newest creation, and there’s no doubt it’s already an instant classic. The ‘Kravin’ Korean’ is a deliciously crafted rendition of Korean BBQ and crispy, flaky, golden brown fried chicken, served up on a light and fluffy waffle bun Bruxie lovers are already infatuated with.

In addition to Bruxie’s spiced fried chicken thigh, the Kravin’ also features a house-made Korean BBQ Sauce, and finely chopped Kimchi coleslaw. With a crunchy texture and a good kick of spice, blended with the warm, mouthwatering savory sweetness of the soft waffle bun — things are about to heat up this summer.

Yes, the lazy months of summer may be almost upon us, but you’d better not sleep on the Kravin’ Korean. This LTO sandwich will be available to Bruxie customers from May 17 – June 6.

McDonald’s Hints MAJOR Reveal Next Week, So We Made A Few Guesses

A few days ago, we received a mysterious box from McDonald’s. Upon opening the black box, we discovered a napkin inside with these words:

The message was followed by a date of Jan. 26, 2017. Our curiosity was piqued.

Not ones to sit in ignorance, we put our heads together and came up with a few possible things that could happen on that very day. It’s gotta be one of these, right?

Deluxe Breakfast Platters

While McDonald’s has pretty much made every breakfast menu item available all day, one thing still eludes US patrons once the clock hits 10am: The Deluxe Breakfast Platter. The breakfast item comes with hash browns, hotcakes, an English muffin, bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs.

While all the compenents are available to order seperately after breakfast hours, it’s still a bit of a pain to get your hands on unless you’re willing to shell out the extra cash to add four additional items onto a Hotcakes with Sausage Platter.

chicken-mcgriddles-1_1483396213020_2485105_ver1-0New Chicken McGriddle

Speaking of breakfast, McDonald’s locations were spotted testing these mouth-watering fried Chicken McGriddles. The sandwich was met with much success in Ohio last year and was released in select McDonald’s spots in Florida.

While available until April 26th in the East Coast, we West Coast fried chicken enthusiasts would love to get our hands on this juicy breakfast item.

Pork Katsu Sandwiches

McDonald’s locations in Japan started offering these insane pork Katsu sandwiches that were stuffed with cheese inside. Once thrown into the fryer, the cheese melts oozing into the mouths of patrons with each and every bite.

This item’s a bit of a long shot, but there’s definitely a market for fried meats stuffed with cheese here in the United States.

Waffle Fries

Our neighbors to the north, the great nation of Canada itself, had begun serving waffle fries on their McDonald’s menus for a short time. The fries were accompanied by an insane Hash Brown burger we definitely wouldn’t have minded trying, had we any friends in Canada to ship us a box of.

And yes, we would like some McDonald’s poutine with that.

Different Sized Big Macs

Late last year, McDonald’s announced that they were introducing two new Big Mac size variations. The Mac Jr. and the Grand Mac will be at the two ends of the Mac-tacular spectrum, one sandwich boasting only one beef patty and another featuring two thicker patties.

The fast food chain said that they’ll be available nationwide sometime in early 2017, which we’re betting will be Jan. 26’s big announcement. Guess we’ll find out in a week.

Starbucks’ Newest Frappuccino Looks Like A Magical Waffle Shake

Starbucks just launched a brand-new frappuccino this week. This one’s called The Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino. Wanna guess what’s inside it?

The sweet new beverages features waffle cone syrup and dark caramel sauce that’s blended with coffee, milk and ice. It’s then topped with whipped cream, dark caramel sauce and chunks of waffle cone.

Elie, the guy that made that Taco Bell lasagna, grabbed one earlier to see how it tastes. Dude’s super big on coffee so we were prepared for some criticism.

I thought it was delicious, I like how the coffee actually comes through and it doesn’t feel like a milkshake.
Damn, he actually liked it.
But it’s sweet AF, definitely not capable of finishing the entire drink. Per usual of Starbucks Frappuccino drinks.
That’s more like it.
Still, it sounds like just the drink for a much-needed sugar rush.

Starbucks is also bringing back their S’mores Frappuccino for a limited time. Both beverages will be available for the summer and will probably disappear come pumpkin spice season.

White Castle’s New Turkey Sliders Are Stuffed With Your Favorite Thanksgiving Sides

Now that Halloween’s over, we’re quickly gearing up for Turkey Day. Funny how our two favorite holidays are back-to-back. In honor of Thanksgiving, White Castle is introducing three new Turkey Sliders.

Made with Butterball turkey burger patties, the sliders feature a variety of different Thanksgiving sides in a set of three. The Turkey Dinner Slider’s is stuffed with sweet potato waffle fries and cranberry sauce. The Cranberry Turkey Slider is slathered with only cranberry sauce. Finally, the Bistro Turkey Slider boasts a tangy Bistro sauce.

You can also get the sweet potato waffle fries as a side along with a cranberry spritzer with Sprite, Brand Eating says.

The trio of Turkey Sliders will only be available at White Castle through the holiday season.
