This Satisfying Video Of A Butcher’s Knife Restoration Will Melt Your Stress Away

A good butcher’s knife should last you many years before you have to replace it. If you’re not one to part with a reliable kitchen tool, however, you can always try to revive it. Here’s an example that should light a fire of inspiration for those willing to stick by your mans knives.

YouTube channel Andre Will Do It attempts the impossible — restoring this years-rusted blade to brand-new condition.

Unfortunately, it looks like someone fished this knife out of the galley of a sunken pirate ship. It’s pretty far gone.

Andre, however, is not deterred.

Check out how this butcher’s knife gets restored to pristine form

In one of the most relaxing videos we’ve seen this year, this guy spends hours sanding down, polishing, sharpening, and creating a new handle for the butcher’s knife. In short, the difference between what he started with to the final appearance of the knife is practically night and day.

Check out the video above to see how he does it. We highly recommend watching the entire video from beginning to end. Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) junkies will get a kick out of this eight minute immersion as they feel their stress melt away like the rust from this blade.

Here’s Exactly What Happens If You Microwave Yourself

Would you ever microwave yourself? All things considered, it’s not the most brilliant idea that comes to mind if you want to cool off. Though we’d be liars if we say we hadn’t thought about it before.

So what would actually happen?

YouTube channel Meet Arnold created an animated video to show what would happen if you tried to dry yourself off in a microwave oven. A hypothetical situation is presented where fictional cartoon character Arnold is drenched to his bones. He then wonders if he should just step into the microwave for a quick drying.

Here’s exactly what happens if you microwave yourself:

As you can see from this video, definitely do not try this at home. Modern microwave ovens will cause your skin to heat up and your retinas to burn. Your blood will curdle and cause you to cook from the inside out. Finally, you’ll get a 100 percent body burn and die from shock. Yikes.

Perhaps, we’ll just stick to microwaving food.

In addition, in case you’ve ever wondered what it was like to be swallowed alive, check out this other popular Meet Arnold video.

We live in a culture of excess eats and food challenges. Sure, watching a professional eater like Matt Stonie crush burgers, fries, and fried chicken in one sitting is entertaining, but we’re not about to go out and emulate him. Heck, pretty sure he eats much healthier when he’s not on camera.

But have you ever wondered what would happen if you never stopped eating?

This Is How Gordon Ramsay Makes BBQ Brisket At Home

Sometimes you just crave a good homemade BBQ Brisket. Unfortunately, you can’t bust a grill out and smoke meat for 12 hours in the middle of a work week. Half your day’s gone at that point. You want something quick and easy that you don’t have to constantly check on. Here’s where chef Gordon Ramsay steps in to share his homemade BBQ brisket recipe that you can make easily from the comfort of your own kitchen.

This method is more like a roast than a traditional smoked brisket. Even so, it should be more than enough to satiate any barbecue cravings — at least until you have a free day to set up that smoker.

Chef Ramsay and his daughter Tilly team up in this video to serve this juicy cut of BBQ-flavored beef. The Ramsay duo of father and daughter use herbs and spices to recreate the flavor of an outdoor BBQ.

Check out Chef Ramsay’s BBQ Brisket recipe

Overall, it takes a little over three hours to cook. Compared to the traditional 12-hour smoked brisket, this is merely a fraction of the time and mess of the traditional. However, you should always experience the joy of smoking your own brisket outdoors at some point.

Check out the video above to see Ramsay and his daughter banter in the kitchen while cooking a BBQ brisket. The elder Ramsay even squeezes in the occasional dad joke in the video.

Houston Dad Catches Fish With Bare Hands In Hurricane Harvey Flooded Home

The wreckage caused by Hurricane Harvey has been devastating to the residents of Houston, Texas. More than 450,000 victims have been affected by the destruction and 30,000 are forced to seek shelter as the storm rages on. Still, in the wake of this historic flood, we’re happy to see some folks keeping strong for their loved ones.

According to BroBible, one father decided to use a little humor to put his family’s minds at ease during the disaster — by taking up fishing.

Viviana Saldana posted a video on Facebook of her father Saul Saldana catching a fish with his bare hands in the family’s living room. Up to his knees in rainwater, the patriarch dives head first and wrangles a fish with the ease of a grizzly bear.

Hopefully, the Saldanas and the rest of Houston can find some relief once the storm lets up.

Check out this video to see this dude’s impressive fish-catching abilities. Hopefully they kept that sucker. There are so many delicious things they could do with that fish — after they filet it of course.
