It’s still the beginning of January, so restaurants are still rolling out their specials for the month and even though this one was announced 5 days short of the first, I think we’ll be able to forgive the Kogi BBQ truck. We’re looking at the BKTD, or in other words: Bacon, Kimchi, Tofu and hot Dog. All four items were brought together in a crispy looking bun and smothered in their special salsa Verde. To try this bad boy out, you’ll want to keep tabs on the whereabouts of their truck via their website, eat on!
I guess it’s not really vegetarian when the tofu is wrapped in bacon! Here we have a thin slice of fatty bacon wrapped over a lean piece of tofu! Ying & Yang baby! (Thx SR)
Absolutely delectable from the look alone. What we’re looking at is a Kogi BBQ creation of Spam-Tofu Musubi Meatloaf with a Sweet and Spicy Ketchup. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Gotta get me some of DAT!
Tofu is definitely an aquired taste, if you love it you love it and if you only kind of like it, you might not like it with everything. I personally am a huge fan after my uncle got me hooked on the tofu lettuce cups at P.F. Changes. Here we have some stir-fried tofu with a cajun and sesame seed oil dressing.
Here’s a quick trip down memory lane for the ’90s kids who enjoyed episodes of Doug after school on Nickelodeon. Here we have the casts’ favorite band, The Beets, performing a song about highschool, cafeteria food and of course, Killer Tofu!
