Lucille’s Brisket Mac Melt Is A Magnificent Marvel Of Barbecue

A post shared by foodbeast (@foodbeast) on

Since the art of barbecue has been around, smoked brisket and mac ‘n cheese have always existed in complete harmony. In homage of this perfect culinary marriage, Chris Ferrell, Executive Chef at Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que at MainPlace Mall in Santa Ana, California, created a new Lucille’s BBQ Brisket Mac Melt Sandwich, a beautifully stacked masterpiece of barbecued goodness.

For barbecue fans, there might not be anything more delicious than this combination of soft and juicy, perfectly smoked brisket, paired with the smooth creaminess of velvety soft mac ‘n cheese.

This item features a few thick slices of Lucille’s perfectly smoked brisket, a steamy helping of melty, creamy mac ‘n cheese, strips of savory applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, and crispy onion straws.

To top off this behemoth of brisket sandwiches, it’s drenched in Lucille’s famous BBQ sauce and served on two thick slices of crispy Texas toast.

Think you can conquer this beastly creation of barbecue sandwiches? There’s only one way to find out—you better grab a napkin.

It Seems Like Every Fast Food Chain Is Doing HOT CHICKEN, Here’s Carl’s Jr.’s Take

Carl’s Jr. just introduced a new sandwich based off Nashville, Tennessee’s wildly popular Hot Chicken style.

The new Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich features a breaded chicken filet that’s tossed in Nashville Hot Sauce, topped with Swiss cheese, pickles, and served on two pieces of Texas Toast.

Initial thoughts, as a photographer, I hate how this thing looked as I snapped photos of it. I know fast food burgers aren’t supposed to look exactly like their promotional counterparts, but for some reason Carl’s burgers almost never look that photogenic…regardless of how delicious some taste.

Messy presentation aside, the burger we got was missing one crucial element.

Yep, ours was missing an entire piece of Texas toast. I’m partially to blame for simply opening the box and assuming there was a second bun under the initial one. Everything looked kosher from the birds eye.

According to fellow Foodbeast Elie, the sandwich itself was pretty damn tasty.

The sandwich is priced at $6.36 a la carte, though prices may vary depending on location. Not sure if the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is only available at select test spots or if Carl’s is doing a soft release.

‘Beyonce’ Sandwich Has Bacon, Fried Chicken, Jelly & An Onion Ring [VIDEO]

Are we really surprised that Miss B now has her own “Beyoncé Sandwich”? No, not really. But we are impressed by the creativity that went into making the culinary combination. Kudos to the HooplaHa Team for creating this epic sandwich, plus the chic video tutorial to accompany the recipe.

All you need is some Texas toast, bleu cheese crumbles, 3 thick strips of bacon, fried chicken, hot sauce, JELLY and an onion ring and you’re in business. Watch & Eat:

Dunkin’ Donuts Launches a Texas Toast Grilled Cheese Sandwich

New to the Dunkin’ Donuts menu is a savory item in the form of an advertised “hot and hearty” sandwich — the Texas Toast Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The sandwich is available at participating restaurants nationwide, featuring two slices of American cheese and one slice of white cheddar cheese melted between two pieces of thick-cut Texas Toast and served oven-toasted.

The sandwich can be customized with bacon or ham, upon request. It’s also available all day long, so if you like it, you can nab it for breakfast, lunch, and supper*.

The Furious Texan Burger

Miami’s Pincho Factory is at it again, this round with a limited-time signature sandwich they’ve dubbed The Furious Texan. The same restaurant that brought you the Elvis Burger is now paying some tribute to some Texas mentalities. The burger comes with a half pound of beef (more if you want to double up!), Brioche Texas Toast, onion rings, jalapeño cheese, chipotle BBQ sauce and topped off with deep fried turkey bacon. If you’re in the Miami, Florida area, you might have a couple days left to give this burger a try!

A&W Restaurants Test ‘Texas Toast Chicken Sandwiches’

Just when the general public is about to forget about A&W, they decide to bulk up their menu offerings to re-engage some of their audience. In this particular move, the chain is toying with three flavors of a Texas Toast Chicken Sandwich in various test markets. In the mix is a Honey Dijon Club, BLT and Buffalo Chicken sandwiches. If you happen to be in the test area of an A&W with these new sandwiches, definitely let us know how they taste! With this move, A&W seems to be joining a rank of limited major players currently offering Texas Toast sandwiches. Their current competition includes the likes of Hardee’sTexas Toast Bacon Cheese Thickburger and Dunkin’ Donuts‘ recently released Big ‘N Toasty breakfast sandwich. (Via BurgerBusiness)

We’re looking at an open faced sandwich with a burger base, on Texas toast smothered in cheese, topped with bacon and baby portabella mushrooms. An incredibly accessible recipe is the jump-off to this delicious-looking dish. I’m so hungry!
