Mister Cartoon Crafts Limited Edition Tequila CAZADORES Bottle

Booze and tattoos probably go together way more often than they should. However, when the booze is Tequila CAZADORES and the tattoos are courtesy of legendary artist Mister Cartoon, then it sounds like a perfect combination. The iconic tattoo artist has reimagined a bottle of Tequila CAZADORES for a new limited-edition run in honor of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

Tequila CAZADORES recently debuted the new limited-edition blanco bottle whose bottle design was hand-rendered and features Mister Cartoon’s signature fine point style, nodding symbolically to the Día de los Muertos traditions he values most. The bottle is adorned in symbolic black, white and gray artwork, with illustrations of a skull to honor the memories of lost loved ones, a rose to welcome new beginnings and a woman to represent love and the importance of celebrating the good times. The Tequila CAZADORES iconic stag is part of the design as a reminder to be bold and fearless in the pursuit of dreams.

“Mister Cartoon is an artist who, like Tequila CAZADORES, boldly carries his heritage with him, allowing his passion for who he is and where he came from to shine through his work,” says Manny Hinojosa, Brand Ambassador for Tequila CAZADORES. “We are honored to collaborate with him on a special Día de los Muertos bottle design, celebrating one of the most traditional holidays in the Mexican culture.”

“It was an honor for me to create a design for Tequila CAZADORES. a brand that shares my passion for preserving heritage and guiding the future from the past,” adds Mister Cartoon.

Available nationwide, the Mister Cartoon x Tequila CAZADORES Día de los Muertos bottle hit shelves earlier this month.  Mister Cartoon has also created a set of skull bandanas – inspired by illustrations from the limited-edition bottle – that will be available through his website with 100% of proceeds from sales going towards disaster relief in Mexico.

Tequila Avion Creates Floyd Mayweather Jr. Edition Bottle To Celebrate His 50th Fight

Most pro athletes celebrate by popping bottles of champagne. NASCAR drivers do it with milk — because driving? If things go according to plan this Saturday (August 26) for Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr.,  he’ll probably be knocking back with his own tequila.

Tequila Avión has created a limited edition, commemorative bottle of the brand’s ultimate tequila offering, Avión Reserva 44 Extra Añejo, to celebrate Mayweather Jr.’s 50th professional fight.

The tequila brand, voted Best Tasting Tequila in the World at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, has worked with Mayweather Jr. to create the exclusive commemorative bottles, of which only 150 are for sale worldwide.  Each custom bottle features an etched likeness of Mayweather Jr. and have been hand-signed by the boxer.  This collector’s edition is composed of fire polished crystal and comes encased in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.  Avión Reserva 44 is hand bottled in extremely limited batches and gains its distinctive character from Avión agave.

Conversations began when Mayweather Jr. and his team approached Tequila Avión Founder Ken Austin regarding their shared vision. “The team at Tequila Avión joins in the belief of never cutting corners and putting the work in,” says Austin via a statement. “Much like Floyd Mayweather Jr., our brand believes in the pressure of perfection, which is shown in the unwavering commitment to our tequila.”

“Creating this bespoke bottle with Ken and Tequila Avión was a given,” Mayweather adds. “Avión epitomizes the highest in quality, which is all I accept in life.  As a world-class athlete, I have spent my life training to be the best, and as such I’d only work with and associate with the best tequila in the world to have my image and personal signature.”

Unless you live under a rock, you know that Mayweather Jr., who remains undefeated throughout his professional boxing career, faces MMA UFC fighter Conor McGregor this Saturday (August 26) in Las Vegas.

The commemorative bottles of Avión Reserva 44 Extra Añejo Tequila will retail this week for approximately $1,500 each and will be available on the Las Vegas strip at Total Wine & More while supplies last. Orders will also be accepted by visiting

George Clooney’s Accidental Tequila Company Just Sold For Up To $1 Billion

Looking back to where it all began. #NationalBestFriendDay #HouseOfFriends

A post shared by Casamigos Tequila (@casamigos) on

I bet that if ten years ago, you told George Clooney he was eventually going to build a billion-dollar tequila business, the actor would’ve laughed in your face.

Today, that’s exactly what Clooney has done, as Casamigos, the tequila company he created on a literal whim, was just sold to international distillery giant Diageo, with total proceeds having the potential to reach a billion dollars. Diageo will pay $700 million upfront for Casamigos, with an additional $300 million available based on how well the tequila performs over the next decade.

Happy Cinco de Mayo from all of us at Casamigos Tequila!

A post shared by Casamigos Tequila (@casamigos) on

When Casamigos started out, it was never meant to be a business that sold tequila. The spirit was a private collection that Clooney and co-founder Rande Gerber developed after 700 different taste tests, the result being a tequila that didn’t have a burning aftertaste or left the two feeling hungover. However, they eventually were ordering enough bottles for themselves, friends, and family that they had to get licensed to continue making the alcohol. They brought in co-owner Michael Meldman at this point to help launch the company in 2013, which has since become one of the fastest-growing tequila brands in the country.

All three co-owners will stay on with Casamigos after the acquisition, which is expected to close in the second half of this year. Diageo doesn’t expect to begin making money on the tequila until the fourth year of owning the business, but the ultra-premium tequila, which goes for $45-$55 per 750 mL bottle, could very well be worth the investment.

The Original ‘Most Interesting Man In The World’ Switches From Beer To Tequila

“I Told You” Astral Tequila Teaser from Davos Brands on Vimeo.

He doesn’t always drink beer. Sometimes, he drinks tequila too.

Dos Equis’ former actor for “The Most Interesting Man In The World,” Jonathan Goldsmith, has shifted careers and is now the public face for Astral Tequila. In the first commercial teaser, which just dropped a couple of days ago, Goldsmith even gives a shoutout to his former self as he moves on to his new role of drinking tequila on TV.

“I told you… I don’t always drink beer.”

While Goldsmith referenced his old role in the Astral Tequila commercial, he sadly won’t be able to reprise it for the time being. The title of “Most Interesting Man” is still owned by Dos Equis and its owning brand, Heineken USA, and they’ve already moved on with a new actor to play the part. Goldsmith can reference who he was in the past though, since that doesn’t infringe on any rights.

We’ll definitely stay thirsty for more commercials to see if Goldsmith continues to drop the “Most Interesting Man” hints or not.

Mexico Just Developed A Cloud That Literally Rains Tequila [WATCH]

This cloud is the stuff of college party dreams, as it literally rains tequila.

Visit Mexico, the official tourism promotion council and site for the country, developed the cloud to be displayed as part of a specific campaign to get Germans to travel to Mexico.

It sounds like an odd combination, but Germany is the number two importer of tequila from Mexico and gets a TON of rain throughout the year, according to Adweek. So during Germany’s rainiest month, Visit Mexico set up an exhibit that featured this tequila cloud as a promotion for German citizens to vacation in Mexico.

The cloud was constructed by using ultrasonic humidifiers to literally vibrate the tequila into mist before the spirit was condensed so that it could fall as rain drops. Every time it rained, the cloud was programmed to rain tequila as well.

It allowed rain-soaked Germans passing by to get a taste of sunshine and Mexico by stopping at the cloud for a quick sip of tequila to get them through the day.

This seriously sounds like something that belongs at parties though. Can you imagine how many people would go nuts over literally drinking out of a cloud?

I definitely want to have a tequila cloud around me at all times.

$1,000 Tequila-Infused Chocolates Among The World’s Most Expensive Confectionaries

Looking for something a little more on the extravagant end this holiday season? What about a box of some of the world’s most expensive chocolates?

Patrón tequilas usually go for about $7,500 a bottle. If you’re not one to drop that much for booze, no matter how premium, there’s at least some middle ground.

Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate created a tequila-infused chocolate set that incorporates the taste of six different Patrón tequilas into each chocolate bar. Called the Patrón Alquimia Collection, each limited-edition set goes for $1000 of 24 bars reports DesignTaxi.

Are your loved ones worth that little extra this year? Probably not enough to warrant a grand for chocolate, but it’s something nice to think about as you surf through Amazon hoping your gifts make it to your doorstep before the holidays.

This Tequila Shot Claims To Cure All Ills, Really Just Ruins Your Day

Every once in a while, you’ll hear about a secret, cure-all remedy that will take away your cold, your depression, and somehow even get rid of your syphilis. Ortega 120 in Redondo Beach claims to have such a remedy with it’s “No You’re Not” shot.

The shot consists of Kosher salt, dry pico de gallo, two ounces of anejo tequila, and a lime-covered glass rim. After mixing all that together, the drink is heated, with and additional lime spritz to top it off.

Sounds simple, right? Nothing crazy. But like most medicine, it doesn’t go down quite as easily.

Our Worst Shots Ever team went down to the bar and tried this shot. By the time they chugged it, they immediately regretted it, and both wanted to quit the show.

“It’s like when you’re a kid, and you don’t want to take medicine, but you do it anyway, because you know it’ll help you get better,” Our own Rudy Cheney said. “It felt like that, except this shot doesn’t help you get better. At all.”

Go ahead and laugh at their pain below and if you’re ever feeling sick, go ahead and try one of these shots yourself. See if it helps.

This Mexican Candy Shot Tastes A Lot Worse Than It Sounds [WATCH]

Sometimes you hear about a drink and think to yourself, “That sounds pretty good.”

A Mexican Candy shot would probably fall under that category, as you’d think the spiciness and sweetness would have a Michelada-like taste you could work with.

Our Worst Shots team found that to be very wrong, as they visited the Slip Bar & Eatery in Redondo Beach, CA.

It starts off sounding delicious, with some lime and Tajin chili seasoning kissing the lip of the class. Then some tequila and watermelon pucker is mixed together, which still sounds pretty respectable.  As soon as they add Tapatio hot sauce to the mix, the whole drink goes to hell, in a twist that left our own Sean Fahmy gagging and hating his life choices.

“I’m going to give it a hard 3, out of 20,” our bud Rudy Chaney said about the Mexican-inspired drink. “It’s pretty good if you want to give it to someone who’s a f*cking a**hole.”

Believe it or not, there are a couple of regulars at the California bar who actually order this shot. But if you’re like us, you might want to just stick to the good ol’ Michelada.
