Dos Equis To Induct “Most Interesting Fan of College Football” Into Hall of Fame

There’s a slight chill in the air (in the East Coast at least), Labor Day is this weekend, and that can only mean one thing… college football season will soon be upon us. Dos Equis returns as the Official Beer Sponsor of the College Football Playoff and is on a mission to find those football fanatics who choose “Game Day Over Everything.”

At the end of the season, one lucky fan will be crowned “The Most Interesting Fan of College Football” and will be honored by being immortalized in the College Football Hall of Fame with a life-sized statue. “It’s incredible to be a part of this ‘Most Interesting Fan’ campaign because it highlights the spirit and passion college football fans share every Saturday during the season,” says Rob Riggle, campaign spokesperson and ‘Most Interesting Fan’ candidate. “I’ve been a huge fan of college football all my life, displaying fandom literally on my sleeves and chest, so I’m excited to represent all those other diehards that put ‘Game Day Over Everything’ as they showcase their most interesting traditions for their teams.”

Starting Saturday (September 2) through November 14, 2017, fans of legal drinking age can use #MostInterestingFanSearch to enter the contest on Twitter, Instagram, and at by sharing photos, videos, or a simple tweet stating why they should be considered. Two finalists will be chosen in November and one winner will then be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta at an exclusive Dos Equis event on January 7, 2018. Both finalists will receive roundtrip travel for two and will attend the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship on January 8, 2018.

Additionally, Dos Equis is also taking its ESPN College Football Playoffs partnership to another level during Week 7 this college football season with its “ESPN Tailgate Week presented by Dos Equis,” which will highlight some of the best, most interesting tailgates around the nation and encourage fans to submit why they belong in the College Football Hall of Fame.

Miss Alabama and Carl’s Jr.’s Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger Are Like, The Hottest Thing Ever

Don’t you hate it when you’re watching a football game and you catch a really hot lady in the bleachers taking all her clothes off and eating a giant hamburger?

Yeah, we didn’t think so.

If you haven’t heard of former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb, just know her claim to fame came after she was spotted by a sports telecaster at a football game, who simply couldn’t get over how pretty she was. You could ask which game and who won, but we’d bet the poor guy probably doesn’t remember anymore. Ah, journalism at its finest.

Now, Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s latest hottie-fueled ad for its new Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger features Miss Webb in a re-enactment of this kinda-famous scene, only with more spotlights and more Frank’s Red Hot. The burger itself includes a charbroiled beef patty drizzled in Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce and topped with Swiss cheese and blue cheese crumbles, and is available starting at $2.89 for the single. There’s also Buffalo Chicken Tenders, available only at Hardee’s, and Buffalo Blue Cheese Crisscut Fries, available only at Carl’s Jr.

You can catch the live commercial on television this week, but check out the video below for a behind-the-scenes look, including some very tasty buffalo sauce/thigh porn. Hey, it’s still better than looking at Harley’s less-than-precious mug.

Hungry? Grab a Snickers Popcorn Cupcake

As far as party tricks go, we all know there’s nothing more impressive than showing people the right way to eat a cupcake. But what if that cupcake is topped with popcorn? And covered with caramel, nougat, peanuts? And the entire thing has been drizzled and dunked in enough chocolate to make your wildest dreams come true? When you turn that Snickers-inspired chocolate fest into a cupcake sandwich (definition: here) and walk away with clean cheeks and a Cheshire grin, we’re pretty sure you’ve just leveled up to party king status.

Of course, first you have to make the cupcake. This thing is labeled as the ultimate party treat for “Snickers Superfans” and it’s pretty easy to see why. Just looking at it makes us want to attack the nearest vending machine with a fistful of quarters and the last shreds of our dignity, but no worries — if you can contain yourself long enough to pop into the store, a bag of the mini Snickers is all you need. Pop over to The Cupcake Bandits for the recipe and let your inner Snickers fan go crazy.

Tailgating Done Right: This Trailer Comes with a 50-Inch TV, BBQ & Tapped Keg

Before the advent of “couchgating” sports fans were forced to fend the outdoors if they were to participate in a “gate.” Hence, “tailgating” became a necessary aspect of twentysomethings, alumni, and crazed sports fans across America. A tradition born from the resourceful and the DIY sports scene, where ungodly amounts of meat are cooked on the hinged backsides of trucks.

Well, if tailgating were actually a sport, rather than a para-sport, Gus’s BBQ Smoker Trailer is the LeBron James, or Messi, of the sport. The trailer, a moveable, rentable behemoth, boasts a tapped keg, an iPod dock, and the ability to smoke, BBQ, or whatever the hell else you want to do with a quarter ton of meat. And, in case you don’t actually have tickets to the game you are tailgating, cause you spent it all on the rental, it comes equipped with a 50-inch satellite TV. Sometimes reality can blow my mind and my stomach.

Pit Boss BBQ Tool Belt

Introducing the Pit Boss BBQ Tool Belt. It was designed to hold everything a BBQ enthusiast needs so that they never have to leave the grill. Utility wise, it covers all the bases and more, and visually, it includes a 1680 Denier fabric, heavy-duty double stitched seams, reinforced pocket stitching, and a die-cast belt buckle.

It’s got places for your tools, pockets for your sauces and seasonings, loops for your lighter and thermometer, a place for your smart phone, insulated beer pockets and The Chamber TM – a special sealed and insulated pocket that holds a spare unopened beer.

It also has a professional-grade “speed opener” – the kind you see bartenders use – attached to a heavy-duty retractable reel. No more fumbling for a bottle opener and no more “misfires” because of a second-rate tool. Not a bad tool, even if it is at the bare end of summer and moving into Fall.
