You Can Buy A Giant Ring Pop The Size Of Your Fist At Walmart

The holiday season is quickly approaching and once we pass Thanksgiving, we’re going to be sweating to figure out what to gift our loved ones.

For those with an eternal sweet tooth, perhaps the move is a Ring Pop.

No, not the everyday one that you can pick up at any convenience store. We’re talking about one that’s the size of your fist.

Bazooka Candy Brands has just released a Sweet Strawberry Giant Ring Pop that weighs in at about 700 grams of pure candy.

For context, the massive candy ring comes out to about 47 servings in a single 24.7 ounce package.

It’s essentially a brick of pure sugar in the most baller vessel imaginable. Kind of a perfect gift for anyone with an appreciation for the sweeter side of life.

You can find the Giant Ring Pop at participating Walmart, Cracker Barrel, IT’SUGAR and Dylan’s Candy Bar locations.

Häagen-Dazs’ Free Cone Day Is Back And Still Helping To Save Bees

For over a decade now you’ve been enjoying free ice cream from Häagen Dazs, but we bet you never took the time to actually learn why this blessed day comes around once a year.

It’s crazy to think that those little flying demons that we are told to stay still around are actually responsible for nearly every delicious flavor we put into our mouths.

Bees, through an incredible amount of pollination, are the sole suppliers of over 70 percent of the crops that humans rely on. Foodbeast did a write-up on what your food would look like if bees went extinct, maybe checking this out will help push you to donate instead of gorge on free ice cream all day.

And Häagen Dazs has been thanking them for 10 years as a part of their “Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees Initiative” with Free Cone Day being focused directly on thanking and supporting the bees.

While there’s no feasible way to physically thank said bees, supporting the effort in preventing their extinction is definitely the better alternative.

And what better way to support a cause than by getting free ice cream? There’s no other way and it is amazing.

On May 8th, between 4 – 8pm Häagen Dazs is coming back again with their annual Free Cone Day. Pop into a local shop and receive one free scoop of ice cream or sorbet in a cup, sugar cone or cake cone between specified hours.

The purpose of this day is to recognize the bees and their gift of pollination, without which we wouldn’t have delectable flavors like Rocky Road, mango, or even strawberry.

The fact that you’re getting a free cone might push you to actually thank the bees in a viable way, because face it, most people don’t care about anything else if free ice cream is offered.

Think of it like this, you would have paid for the ice cream at some point anyway, this way you can use whatever you thought you would have had to pay and donate it here, to help fund research in preventing the decimation of bees.

One day you might not be able to get that delicious strawberry cone again and you’ll wish you spent even a fiver helping fight for bees.

For more information on bees, here’s a great article Foodbeast did on bees and their importance in the world.

Strawberry Lemonade Cookie Shots Are The Dessert You Never Saw Coming

If there’s one treat that could serve as the poster child of snack food pairings, milk and cookies would easily be the leading candidate. With that in mind and National Lemonade Day on August 20 on the horizon, The Dirty Cookie decided to bake up something even sweeter.

The Dirty Cookie, located in Tustin, California, has managed to pioneer the simple concept of milk and cookies into one of the most unique and tasty dessert trends of the year — shot glass shaped cookies, served with milk inside.

Taking inspiration from their classic cookie shot glass, The Dirty Cookie and Hubert’s Lemonade have teamed up to create the Strawberry Lemonade Cookie Shot, made with Hubert’s Strawberry Lemonade.

Using red cookie dough, lemon zest, Hubert’s Strawberry Lemonade, and the Dirty Cookie shot glass template, this partnership has created an imaginative and mouth-watering delicacy you can only find in Southern California.

Served with a thin layer of white chocolate on the inside of the shot glass, the Strawberry Lemonade Cookie Shot might be the best thing invented since OG milk and cookies.

Hurry in to The Dirty Cookie, because this after school special will end on September 3.

Why It Costs $22 For This Seemingly Normal Strawberry

A photo posted by えみ (@emi12.10) on

Strawberries, when in season, can be well worth the money if you’re buying a quality batch. Would you, however, pay $22 for a single piece of fruit? Apparently a single strawberry found in a Hong Kong supermarket is going for just that.

So what makes it so expensive?

According to Time, the Kotoka Strawberry can be found at City Super, an upscale Hong Kong supermarket that specializes in the decadent. Grown in the Japanese city of Nara, the strawberry boasts a seemingly perfect balance of acidity and sweetness.

When shelling out the $22, consumers don’t just get that single strawberry. The fruit is carefully placed in a specially-designed package that includes a foam nest to rest the berry in. The excessive packaging, understandably, has garnered some criticism from groups concerned with packaging waste.

Would you spend that much on one of these strawberries? We can understand if it were one of those reverse strawberries. Now those look pretty cool.

If you decide against the shelling out all that cash for the piece of fruit, and would rather get a batch of regular strawberries, here’s a quick hack on how to shuck them.

The cookie features a chocolate creme center with a dab of strawberry creme inside, hearkening back to the original dessert. As far as concepts go, this looks pretty promising and is supposed to boast a pretty bold aftertaste.

This Is Starbucks’ New Cherry Blossom Frappuccino, And It’s Beautiful

As most people know, the people of Japan are all super into cherry blossom trees, or “sakura.” The budding flowers on the branches are sticklers for timing, blooming only as soon as the Japanese springtime makes its way into the country. And when the tide of pink flowers rolls in, so do their Starbucks counterparts, the Sakura Blossom & Strawberry Frappuccino.

Well, this year might be a little more special. For the first time ever, Starbucks will be releasing their famed Cherry Blossom Frappuccino in the United States, previously only available in Japan. The sweet, icy beverage has risen in popularity ever since it’s inception in 2010.

The cream and crimson delight is made with strawberries and cream, white chocolate sauce, a matcha blend and finally, topped with Starbucks’ staple Frappuccino ingredient, a soft mound of whipped cream. Matcha, for those who don’t know, is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves.

Unfortunately, this delectable drink will only be available for five days, from now until March 20th, so make sure to get ’em while they’re hot! Or rather, cold.
