Filmmakers Create Stunning Stop Motion LEGO Breakfast Video

Filmmakers Brick Bros. Production love making LEGO films, but after seeing their latest project, it seems like they might love LEGO breakfast even more.

“LEGO In Real Life,” is a fascinating stop motion video posted to YouTube by Brick Bros. Productions, who turned thousands of LEGO blocks into food. But, this run-of-the-mill breakfast almost looks better than the real thing.

There’s something special about watching a slice of translucent LEGO butter fade and sizzle in stop motion. It’s visually stunning, but the familiar sounds of breakfast provide a soothing ASMR aspect to this video.

However, it’s not as easy as it looks. It took three days of filming and 1,500 photos, to create this video, according to Brick Bros.’s YouTube page.

The filmmakers also uploaded a behind the scenes video to show how this LEGO breakfast stop-motion masterpiece came to life.

Now, with more than 4 million views on YouTube this Brickfilm is clearly sitting on top of the food pyramid.

There’s only one question: What’s for lunch, Brick Bros.?

Watch The Incredibly Charming Animated Trailer For ‘The Great British Bake Off’

With so many food shows hitting the airwaves, you sort of have to create something pretty damn engaging to capture the audience’s attention. Simple food porn shots just won’t do anymore. Perhaps it’s time to evoke that sense of childlike wonder.

The Great British Bake Off recently launched a trailer for their upcoming season that left us confused, enchanted, and hungry all at the same time. In the video, baked goods are singing and dancing about in a colorful display of confection all set to a pretty catchy tune of Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus’ We All Stand Together.

Design Taxi reports that the stop-frame animated short was directed by Parabella Studios with the help of 4Creative. An ensemble of professional bakers and animators, through meticulous detail, brought 335 pastries and desserts to life in this one-minute video.

Check out the trailer for the upcoming season of the British reality baking series.

“Fresh Guacamole” — A Beautiful Stop Motion Recipe You Should Gawk At, Not Eat

From the mind of director PES, this phenomenal piece of stop motion video entitled “Fresh Guacamole” is a beautiful display of what making guacamole would look like…if you were using Michel Gondry‘s kitchen.

The short takes its 1 min 40 second run time to whimsically chop up everyday objects (yes, we’re including hand grenades) into ingredients the film’s protagonist ultimately puts into his guacamole. The animation was done in collaboration with PES and Dillon Markey, and filmed in Torrence, California.

Without further ado, your morning brain explosion:
