Hershey’s Unveils Limited Edition SPOOKY Halloween Candy

With Halloween less than a week away, we need to sit down and think about what candies and chocolates to pick up for your ghoulish guests. The Hershey Company has released six new Halloween products to sink your vampiric sweet tooth in for the candy-themed season.

Iconic brands like Reese’s, Kit Kats, and Jolly Rancher are all getting a spooky makeover.

New items include:

Reese’s White Peanut Butter Ghosts Snack Size: White crème-coated ghosts filled with peanut butter filling.

Kit Kat White Minis Snack Size: White crème-coated Kit Kat’s filled with crème and crisp wafers.

Jolly Rancher Lollipops Spooky Shapes: Jolly Rancher candies in fruity flavors, featured in an array of adorably ghastly shapes. Flavors are Pink Lemonade, Green Apple, Watermelon, and Cherry.

Hershey’s Caramel Apple Filled Milk Chocolates: Apple-shaped, foil-wrapped milk chocolates filled with a caramel filling.

Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème Skulls: Wrapped in skull-themed foils, these cookies ‘n’ crème chocolates designed for both Halloween and Día de los Muertos celebrations.

Halloween Party Assortment: A large pumpkin filled with an assortment of classic snack-sized Halloween treats from Hershey’s, including Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kat Miniatures and Almond Joy Bars.

The new candies are definitely something to consider while you’re browsing through the candy aisle this weekend. Heck, we might even turn our porch lights off and just save the candies for ourselves. Though that might invite some bad juju going against the spirit of the holiday.

This Skull And Crossbones Rolling Pin Is Perfect For Halloween Cookies

Because there’s nothing more hardcore than getting your bake on, Etsy shop Mood For Wood is selling this skull and crossbones rolling pin. So spooky! Someone hold me, I’m scared. Just kidding — not scared. But definitely still hold me. I’m lonely!

R.L. Stine Tweets Terrifying Short Story About a Sandwich

Growing up, the newest Goosebumps book couldn’t arrive soon enough. There was nothing better than reading through a spooky tale when we should have been learning fractions. We’d breeze through each horror story by author R.L. Stine like we’d breeze through a Double Double, which if you count all the books he’s written you’d know we’re not in the best of health.

The infamous author took to Twitter this week declaring that he would write a live story through the social network. As promised, the tweets began, each more chilling than the last. What finally came of them was an entirely new short story by the author about a sandwich of all things.

Pretty spooky though.

Cheetos’ Bag of Bones Features DIY Skeletons in White Cheddar

Because nothing says Halloween better than grocery store snack foods, Cheetos is introducing their limited-edition Bag of Bones White Cheddar snacks. It’s literally a bag full of bones. Y’know, just snackable.

Instead of your typical non-spooky cheese puffs, Bag of Bones will be filled with white cheddar bone pieces that are scary as shit. They come in four different pieces (skulls, rib cages, bones and hands), allowing consumers to assemble and play with their Cheetos just a little bit before devouring them. Assembling a Cheetos skeleton army has just become a very real possibility, people.

Bag of Bones White Cheddar Cheetos will be available at retail stores in a party-size 8-oz bag for $3.49, though prices may vary depending on location.

Kinda salty though.

Woman Dresses Like a 1950s Housewife but Bakes Like Tim Burton

Christine McConnell is a self-taught baker who learned how to make extraordinary pastries by watching YouTube tutorials. Her instagram is a rabbit hole of mesmerizing, melancholy eats, from alien sugar cookies creeping along polka-dotted tablecloths to terrifying strawberry waffle cones.

Using a Nikon D600, the beauty photographer-by-day and mad baker-by-night blends the kitschy style of the 1950s with the cheesy sense of humor of the 1980s (think The Evil Dead, 1981).

The result culminates in an ongoing series of dark confectionery demons:

Creepy crawlie sugar cookies made with nutmeg and caramel.

Skull-Shaped Pancake Molds Make Death Delicious

Wish to include a little DEATH into your morning diet? This new skull-shaped pancake mold (brought to us by Williams-Sonoma) lets you start every morning with the subtle reminder that you are gonna die some day! Hooray! Totally joking.

On a happier note, these skulls are adorable and fitting for the Halloween season. Upon seeing these spooky molds, my consumer “MUST BUY” impulse was triggered. Unfortunately, they’re all sold out at the moment, but you can enjoy them vicariously through these pictures as you stare longingly at your non-skull shaped pancakes.
