Snoop Dogg’s First Foray Into Wine Is A Surprising Red

Snoop Dogg is no doubt a household name, one that’s synonymous with weed, women, and the West Coast. With his first foray into wine, Snoop may have yet another W under his belt. Expertly weaving his own vision while never forgetting to represent where he came from, Snoop has always been an unlikely face for many of his ventures beyond music, continually subverting our expectations. I suppose one could say gin & juice is to Snoop Doggy Dog as the new Cali Red is to Uncle Snoop, another evolution of possibilities.

Collaborating with gangsta-adjacent wine brand 19 Crimes, Snoop Dogg brings their first ever California-bottled offering to fans. Sourced from NorCal’s Lodi region, Cali Red blends Petite Syrah 65%, Zinfandel 30%, and Merlot 5%. A complimentary crimson-concoction to Snoop’s canine cool. The blend also uses all-American oak, introducing a distinct smokiness that provides vanilla and chocolate.

A look into the backstory of the brand reveals that 19 Crimes is based upon 18th century British convicts turned colonists that were exiled to Australia as punishment in place of death. The 19 Crimes were created during the Industrial Revolution as an answer to the growing overpopulation of Great Britain, which resulted in an increase of crime. With an antiquated legal system, grossly overwhelmed by criminal cases and crowded prisons, Britain declared exile to Australia as punishment. Most convicts never survived the trip. In actuality, there were a reported 200 crimes that could seal one’s fate to the land down under.

Marrying the Northern California sweetness to Snoop’s South California smoothness creates the perfect red and blue compliment at just $12.99 a bottle. The wine also has an AR feature that allows you to scan the label, revealing a special message from Snoop. By downloading the “Living Wine Labels” app, users can hold their mobile devices over any Cali Red label and be greeted by words of wisdom, affirmations and of course, Snoop’s famously known swagger.

Snoop’s Cali Red is now available for purchase online.

Snoop Dogg Headlining A Noodle Festival This Summer

Snoop Dogg’s no stranger to the food game, kicking it with Martha Stewart in the kitchen and cooking up a storm for an unlikely duo that brilliantly works. With that, it’s only natural for him to be headlining a noodle festival this summer.

The Doggfather himself won’t be performing in the role you’re used to, however, as he will be appearing in the form of his DJ alter-ego, Snoopadelic.

This said noodle festival, the first annual Nood Beach, will take place in Huntington Beach, California and will be hosted by none other than Foodbeast and PRJKT Restaurant Group.

Snoop Dogg Breaks Guinness World Record For The Largest Gin & Juice Cocktail

Snoop Dogg is known for his timeless hit Gin & Juice, but you’d need to be on some heavy thirst to be sippin’ on this world record version that he recently was a part of.

His colossal cocktail broke a Guinness World Record when it was debuted at this year’s Bottlerock Festival in Napa Valley, CA. Snoop called in the squad to make the massive mixed drink, including Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio and rapper Warren G.

They utilized 180 1.75-liter bottles of gin, plus 156 1-litre bottles of apricot brandy and 28 3.78-liter jugs of OJ to construct the gargantuan gin & juice. That’s over 132 gallons of boozy beverage, for those counting. There was also a giant straw, pink umbrella, pineapple, and a whole watermelon speared through a sword as a garnish.

Gin and juice world record.

Guinness is dubbing the feat as the “World’s Largest Paradise Cocktail” since gin & juice falls under that category. There doesn’t seem to be a general cocktail record, though, so Snoop’s creation technically has that title as well.

While the crowds at Bottlerock clamored for a taste of the world record beverage, it was reserved for VIP attendees, who got to try it alongside Voltaggio’s Jamaican jerk chicken.

The Doggfather’s feat comes 25 years after his hit song featuring the drink debuted, making the Bottlerock achievement almost like a party on the west coast to celebrate the occasion.

Watch Snoop Dogg And Martha Stewart Recreate The Love Scene From ‘Ghost’

Ask anyone what the greatest love scene in movie history is, and they’ll immediately point you to the film Ghost. The clip featuring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore at a pottery wheel is about as romantic as you can get.

In fact, that movie moment is so iconic that many have attempted to recreate it. None of their tries, however, are as hilarious as Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart’s recreation of that steamy moment.

The two celebrities recreate the scene in a commercial for their show, Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Instead of working with a pottery wheel, however, Martha and Snoop are decorating a cake.

To be honest, the pair recreate the scene to absolute perfection. However, it’s still pretty funny to imagine Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg in the roles of Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Nonetheless, it’s a perfect tribute to a timeless movie, and we can’t wait to see if the new season of their show contains any more such gems.

Watch Snoop Dogg Lose It After Seeing How Candy Canes Are Made [WATCH]

Watching Snoop Dogg learn how everyday things are made is probably one of the best segments Jimmy Kimmel Live has ever had.

In this “Howz it Mizzade” segment, the Doggfather discovered how candy canes were made, and he was not amused.

Keep in mind, Snoop initially had no idea what was being made, as he just watched some footage and tried to guess. His first guess was that the yellow goop was going to be a Frisbee, but then he realized it was a candy cane, leading him to say:

“I’m never eating a candy cane again. That was bulls*it right there. F*ck that. That was a candy cane?”

We recently saw Snoop learn how hot dogs were made, and he was just as grossed out by the process.

It seems like there’s just no way to impress the hip-hop legend.

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg Team Up To Do The Most Lit Cooking Show Ever

Two O.G.’s from very different industries are coming together for the ultimate cooking show this fall on VH1 called, “Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party.”

According to Variety, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg will be entertaining today’s television audience with a whole new kind of cooking show that will consist of different celebrity guests and a dinner party.

“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” Martha Stewart said in an interview.

With two of America’s most well known and authoritative celebrities from the food and entertainment industries, the series will certainly be entertaining and one that we’ll definitely be tuning-in to.

The two have established a relationship over the years and they both took part in roasting Justin Bieber last year. After the roast, Martha told Seth Meyers that she had caught a contact-high backstage thanks to Snoop, so naturally the two became buds.

The series’ promo is a little sneak peak of what kind of vibe we can expect from two, and we like it- a lot.

The duo is an unsuspecting dream team of celebrity hosts, and will likely prove to be a match made in TV heaven.

Snoop Dogg Said He’ll Save Roscoe’s From Bankruptcy

As you can imagine, there were plenty of emotional reactions over the news of East Coast Foods Inc., the parent company of Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n Waffles, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, but none were as honest, or priceless, as Snoop Dogg’s.

TMZ caught up with two iconic Los Angeles rappers, Warren G and The Doggfather himself, as they were coming out of Lure Nightclub in Hollywood, Tuesday night. The pair was asked to share their thoughts on Roscoe’s financial hardships.

Warren G responded in utter disbelief.

“I ain’t even know,” the Regulate rapper from Long Beach said.

While Snoop seemed legitimately surprised — he suggested the perfect solution.

“What happened?!” Snoop said with a stern look on his face after hearing the news. “Bankruptcy? Roscoe’s bankru — . . .  no they didn’t! I guess I’m going to have to buy it man, and make it Snoop Dogg’s Chicken ‘N Waffles, homie. They play too much man, I’m goin’ go on and get it.”

Snoop has publicly shown his love for Roscoe’s in the past, in one instance, even taking Larry King to the waffle place, because he said it’s his, “favorite spot.”

As chicken and waffle lovers hold out hope for the future of Roscoe’s, nothing is certain. If anyone is going to save the Roscoe’s soul food empire, however, Snoop Dogg is the man for the job.

We talk more about Snoop to Roscoe’s rescue in the latest episode of The Katchup, check it out!
