White Castle Is Letting Health Workers Eat FREE For The Entire Month Of April

Health workers have been the soldiers on the front lines during this terrible pandemic. Through it all, they’ve been putting themselves at risk, working long hours, and dealing with psychological trauma to save as many lives as they can affected by COVID-19.

In support of these brave individuals, White Castle is offering free meals to healthcare workers and EMTs all through the month of April. All they’ll have to do is pull up to a White Castle drive-thru and show a form of ID to receive a free combo meal (#1-6) or a breakfast combo. Workers are eligible to claim this free meal every day through April 30.

White Castle is also delivering Crave Case Sliders directly to hospitals within regions the restaurants are located to help fuel them through these chaotic times.

If you’re a healthcare worker or EMT looking to grab a free meal before or after your shift, definitely drive through a White Castle. Thank you for your service.

Dave & Buster’s Unveils LOADED RIBS As Part Of New Hawaiian Menu

Dave & Buster’s has been stepping up their food game introducing new, chef-driven dishes, and they’re continuing that trend with a Hawaiian-inspired menu that features ribs loaded with pineapple and bacon.

While ribs normally come just glazed served with other sides, Dave & Buster’s Smoky BBQ Bacon Hawaiian ribs come topped with grilled pineapple slices and chunks of crispy bacon. The entire rack is glazed with KING’S HAWAIIAN Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce and comes with caramelized mango pineapple salsa.

You can also order a smaller portion of the ribs that comes with some Crispy Hawaiian Chicken Sliders. These are made with toasted KING’S HAWAIIAN rolls and karaage-style chicken tossed in KING’S HAWAIIAN Sweet Island Ginger BBQ Sauce.

These ribs and sliders are all part of Dave & Buster’s special menu created for Hawaiian Foods Week. Other dishes in the lineup include the Hawaiian-Style Ginger Salmon, made with mango pineapple salsa and served with stir-fried veggies and rice. 

There’s also some tropical-inspired cocktails to wash everything down, including the Jamaican Mai Tai, which brings together Appleton and Aperol for a refreshing, boozy drink.

One of the best parts about this crispy BBQ katsu shrimp slider is the coleslaw, made with red & green cabbage, some kewpie mayo and some rice wine vinegar.

Topped with panko-fried shrimp, and coleslaw, all served on a soft, fluffy KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Sweet Roll, you might need to watch your plate, because this delicious tailgate snack will most likely get intercepted if it’s left unguarded.

See the recipe below to create these for yourself!


For the Katsu sauce
1/2 cup KING’S HAWAIIAN Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Mirin
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp soy sauce  

For the cabbage slaw
½ head cabbage, julienned
½ cup kewpi mayo
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Togorashi, to taste

For the shrimp
20-30 medium raw shrimps, peeled & deveined if possible
4 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups Panko breadcrumbs
KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Sweet Rolls

Step 1

Combine all ingredients for katsu sauce in bowl. Transfer to a pan and cook on medium/low heat (DON’T boil) and reduce until sauce coats the back of a spoon.

Step 2

To prepare the slaw, mix cabbage with kewpie mayo, rice wine vinegar, and salt, pepper and togorashi to taste.

Step 3

Peel shrimp and devein if you did not buy from the store already done. Crack eggs in a small bowl and whisk with a pinch of salt until completely homogenized for egg wash. In another bowl, add all-purpose flour. Add panko breadcrumbs to another separate bowl.

Step 4

Heat up a skillet or deep fryer with canola oil to 350 F. Dredge shrimp in flour and then in egg wash. Finally, coat in panko bread crumbs. Once all shrimp are coated, fry in the deep fryer until golden brown. Immediately transfer to paper towel to blot excess oil and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

To assemble the slider, coat the inside of the KING’S HAWAIIAN rolls with the Katsu sauce. Add cabbage slaw, fried shrimp, and add top bun to finish. Enjoy!

Report Names White Castle As The Most Craveable Burger Chain In The US

What’s the one burger place that you crave more than any other? Do you have a burger that you just have to keep going back for?

Apparently, when it comes to burger chains, the answer for many people is White Castle.

According to Restaurant Business News, research group Consumer Brand Metrics recently published a report that showcased the most “craveable burger chains” in the United States. The research was conducted on recent customers of the different burger chains who were asked if the burgers were “crave-worthy” and “one-of-a-kind.”

When all of the data was collected and analyzed, White Castle came out on top as the most craved of the burger chains surveyed, with nearly 70% of recent customers saying that the sliders at White Castle are something they would go back for.

It kind of makes sense that White Castle would top the list, since their entire marketing strategy is built around their sliders being something to come back for. Their boxes of sliders are called “Krave Cases,” and the slogan of the brand is “What You Crave.”

Even movies like Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle depict the lengths one would go just to satisfy that craving for some White Castle sliders.

The other burger chains to make it into the top 10 most craveable burgers and the percentage of recent customers that crave their burgers, in order, are as follows:

9. Fuddruckers (40.3%)

8. Carl’s Jr. (41.2%)

7. Red Robin (42.5%)

6. Five Guys (42.6%)

5. Whataburger (46%)

4. In-N-Out (48.6%)

3. Burger King (49.5%)

2. Krystal Company (61.8%)

Interestingly, the top two craveable burger chains were both places that specialize in sliders. Maybe that smaller size just means that we desire them more than actual burgers, or that they’re easy to want all the time since you can just get a couple as a snack versus a bunch for a meal.

In any case, it seems like sliders are what America craves more than anything else.

These Two Top Notch Chefs Found A Way To Elevate White Castle Sliders To The Absolute MAX


When we picture fast food comfort menu items, White Castle’s famous sliders are pretty high up on that list. There’s something about a beef patty, grilled onions, and cheese that just works so well together. Our very own Geoff set out to meet some of the most talented chefs across the country to see what their elevated take on the slider would be.

Two episodes into our White Castle series, For The Love of the Slider, we’ve met some pretty cool personalities who gave us their personal take on the the iconic mini burgers.

Santa Ana, CA

First stop was Chef Linh Nguyen who works as the executive chef at Crave Restaurant in Santa Ana, CA. Linh started eating White Castle when he was 12 years old and started playing with flavorful ways to “upgrade” the burger.

While easily devour-able on their own, Linh came up with his own mouth-watering variation for us to try. The chef incorporates hatch chiles, bacon jam, and cornmeal fried pickles to upgrade his White Castle burgers.


Imagine the satisfying texture and heat that comes from such a spicy take. We can still hear the scintillating crunch of the pickles.


Chicago, IL

Next, we then took a trip to Chicago and met Chef Tanya Baker. The 28-year-old James Beard finalist grew up channeling her Louisiana-bred father’s Cajun style of cooking, opting to apply such to her interpretation of a White Castle slider.

Chef Baker’s sliders include a fried boudin cake, shrimp étouffée, and a seasoned remoulade. As you can see from the image below, they’re oozing with flavor. Geoff probably needed a napkin or four by the time he was done with them.

Taco Bell FINALLY Makes Their Crunchwrap Sliders With Cheetos

When it comes to fast food, it’s safe to say that American kicks every other country’s ass in terms of quantity, sizes, variety and price. Quality is a tough category for any fast food company to pin down. With Canada’s recent additions to their Taco Bell menu, they might very well be gunning for that throne.

In a move that upsets every American that has wanted this, Taco Bell in Canada has come out with their new Cheetos Crunchwrap Sliders. This is upsetting to American Taco Bell enthusiasts for one reason: the chips.

When Taco Bell first introduced the Sliders, they came in three flavors: spicy chicken, BLT and beefy cheddar. All three flavors were good and each boasted their own unique qualities. The only issue was that they put Frito’s corn chips in them, and lets be honest, nobody gives a damn about Frito’s chips anymore.

What they SHOULD have done was used Doritos, or Cheetos, or any other brand of potato chips that ends in -to’s other than Frito’s. Canada seems to have figured that out formula out.

The company’s Canadian locations will be serving Crunchwrap Sliders of the same flavors, although they will be swapping out the American-influenced BLT Crunchwrap Slider for the Supreme Crunchwrap Slider. On top of that, they will be using delicious Cheetos Crunchy Cheddar Jalapeno chips rather than the Frito’s, which don’t make nearly as much sense in hindsight.

Unfortunately for Americans, the Crunchwrap Sliders are no longer available here, so someone pick me up on their way up to Winnipeg. I’ve got beer and Cheetos.

Dickey’s Starts The New Year By Selling Pulled Pork Sliders For $1

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is starting 2016 with a bang, offering its pulled pork barbecue sliders for only $1.

The sliders are made with Dickey’s signature southern-style pulled pork, then paired with salty, zesty pickles and crunchy onions, squished in between a warm, buttered roll sliced in half.

The company was not franchised until 1994, however has now amassed more than 520 locations nationwide.

Dickey’s is well known and beloved for its cooking style, which features a hickory wood-burning pit at every location that’s used to smoke the meat and poultry, so you know your food is cooked fresh

White Castle’s New Turkey Sliders Are Stuffed With Your Favorite Thanksgiving Sides


Now that Halloween’s over, we’re quickly gearing up for Turkey Day. Funny how our two favorite holidays are back-to-back. In honor of Thanksgiving, White Castle is introducing three new Turkey Sliders.

Made with Butterball turkey burger patties, the sliders feature a variety of different Thanksgiving sides in a set of three. The Turkey Dinner Slider’s is stuffed with sweet potato waffle fries and cranberry sauce. The Cranberry Turkey Slider is slathered with only cranberry sauce. Finally, the Bistro Turkey Slider boasts a tangy Bistro sauce.

You can also get the sweet potato waffle fries as a side along with a cranberry spritzer with Sprite, Brand Eating says.

The trio of Turkey Sliders will only be available at White Castle through the holiday season.
