This Dude Carves AWESOME Skulls From Fruits And Veggies

Have you ever wondered what a vegetable carved into a skull would look like? Me neither. But we all probably have that one friend that’s weirdly obsessed with skulls. I’m lookin’ at you, Jenn. Weirdo.

Well, Russian dreamer and sculptor Dimitri Tsykalov did, and we’re stoked about it.

For a little over two and a half decades now, Tsykalov has been commenting on society’s woes through his modern art.

While a good number of his pieces were made to incite thought (like guns made from deli meats and bearskin rugs made from ammunition boxes), most of them are just made for fun, like the skulls made from fruits and vegetables.

What makes these skulls particularly special is the way they are made. Tsykalov uses knives, spoons, scalpels and power drills, but it’s still all done by hand.

Even after they are made, the artistry doesn’t stop there. These beautifully haunting skulls actually become much more lifelike once they start rotting a bit.

Tsykalov also never used any computer programs to enhance or pixelate any of his work, as he correctly assumed it would take away from the inherent beauty of it all.

Dimitri’s latest work revolves around building model cars out of wood, including a Rolls Royce and a Porsche.

Creepy Chocolate Skulls Feature Gummy and Walnut Brains

Chocolate skulls are nothing new. Though I feel like every attempt at making them is getting more and more creative. Ruth and Sira Garcia, a Spanish creative team, have whipped up a variety of skull-shaped chocolates that include realistic, exposed brains.

The duo calls the chocolate treats Chocolate Skulls Gone Nuts, since a prominent feature is walnuts acting as brains exposed through the chocolate skulls.

As far as creativity goes, A+ guys.

The two also have a candy design that uses white chocolate as a severed leg with gummy nerves hanging out. Gross-licious.

Unfortunately, because of their hectic work schedule, the pair are unable to make any Chocolate Skulls Gone Nuts for the time being. Anyone interested, however, should continue to check in with them for their next availability.

Hopefully they can crank some out before the Halloween season is over.

Chocolate Skulls with Brains You Can Eat

Tons of people at some point in their lives think about what they would do in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse. But has anyone ever wondered what it would be like on the other side of the line that divided the living from the dead? Thanks to twin sisters Ruth and Sira Garcia Trigueros that make up the creative duo “Sparganum“, you can be one step closer to putting yourself in a pair of undead shoes.

These chocolate skulls are made to order with different customizable ingredients and an overall size of 5 x 3.5 x 3cm. The skulls come in white, milk, and dark chocolate. The brains were made with either walnuts or candy. Though they are currently not for sale right now, keep an eye out, the skulls may soon be available for purchase again.
