A Vegan Fast Food Chain Just Launched Their Version Of The Shamrock Shake

Viral sensation Monty’s Good Burger has been growing rapidly. Called a “vegan In-N-Out” by many, the LA-based burger shop has recently gone from plant-based icon to an official chain, with their second location opening up in Riverside, California.

Monty’s is also continuing to innovate their menu, with the most recent addition being a limited-time tribute to the iconic Shamrock Shake.

The all-vegan shake has a mint flavor, and comes topped with a plant-based whipped cream and cookie topping. With the exception of an added chocolate drizzle, it looks pretty similar to the OG Shamrock you can find at McDonald’s around this time.

Monty’s creations do come at a slightly higher price, so you’re looking at dropping $7 to secure yourself this shake. They’ve proven themselves as a specialist in vegan indulgence, though, so those looking for a plant-based recreation of the legendary Shamrock Shake should find this worthy.

You can find the Vegan Shamrock Shake at both of Monty’s Good Burger locations in Los Angeles and Riverside, CA.

It’s Your Lucky Day, McDonald’s Has Brought Back The Shamrock Shake

With St. Patrick’s Day coming closer, McDonald’s blessed the world by bringing back their Shamrock Shake on Feb. 21.

The shake hasn’t changed too much since it’s 1970 debut, still rocking the green hue and minty flavor we’ve come to love.

Last year, McDonald’s tried to shake things up by offering up different variations of the beverage, like the Chocolate Shamrock Shake, the Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé, the Shamrock Mocha and the Shamrock Hot Chocolate.

Thankfully, the fast food giant didn’t inundate the classic with the unnecessary additions and let the Shamrock Shake shine on its own.

Obviously, this is a limited time release, and while it probably isn’t too hard to recreate on your own, any Instagram aesthetic is immediately beautified with the presence of this mint-green delicacy.

While many on Twitter are quick to push their hatred of the shake, Dixon Police comes through with the truth.

It’s the police. Listen to the police. Get a Shamrock Shake and stop being a Carl.

McDonald’s Secret-Menu Chocolate Shamrock Shake Officially Joins The Menu

Around this time every year, McDonald’s releases their iconic Shamrock Shake. The mint-flavored ice cream beverage boasts an emerald aesthetic and admittedly pretty smooth taste. This year, however, McDonald’s decided to drop four new drinks to coincide with the release of the green milkshake.

Along with this year’s return of the Shamrock Shake, comprised of vanilla soft-serve with green mint syrup, McDonald’s has added the following:

The Chocolate Shamrock Shake, which boasts a layer of chocolate shake on the bottom half, with a top half comprised of Shamrock Shake. The drink, originally a secret menu item, has officially become a part of the seasonal shake menu.

A Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe that’s blended with Shamrock Shake syrup and finished with whipped topping, green syrup drizzle, and green sugar crystals.

In the hot beverage end of the menu are the new Shamrock Hot Chocolate and the Shamrock Mocha which feature hot chocolate and mocha beverages combined with the Shamrock Shake syrup.

You can bet your pot of gold we’ll be giving these new Shamrock drinks a fair shake. Bad puns aside, they do look pretty delicious.

Shake N Pie

McDonald’s has announced the return of their infamous Shamrock shake. The advent of the shake means that St. Patty’s Day isn’t too far behind. Made with vanilla ice cream and mint syrup swirled together, the milkshake has gained a cult following over the years. The Shamrock Shake also comes topped with whipped cream and a cherry, with a 12 oz serving setting you back 530 calories.

Also returning to the menu are McDonald’s Strawberry and Creme filled pies. The Shamrock Shake and Strawberry pies are only available for a limited time at participating McDonald’s locations.

McDonald’s Shamrock Shake — It’s On The Way

While not quite as fan boyish and ridiculous, McDonald’s‘ seasonal Shamrock Shake offering is a powerhouse menu item of its own caliber. The illustrious shake usually makes its way back to the menu in the days before St. Patrick’s Day, and this year, there have been several reports about the shake already available in some locations across the states.

The mint flavored, green-dyed vanilla milkshake has a fan-powered location finding website, for those of who need to know what locations are selling the drink. We’ll have more on a broader release of the Shamrock Shake when that information becomes official from the source.

Shamrock Shake Cupcakes

These Shamrock Shake Cupcakes are great for your early morning St. Patrick’s Day hangover! Their convenient straw can also be used for your St. Patty’s day shots. These little leprechaun cupcakes are made with a simple cupcake mix that has been hit with a splash of green creme de menthe (a sweet mint flavored alcoholic beverage). Just like its familiar friend the Irish Car Bomb, the dessert is also topped off with a fresh white buttercream.  (Thx BakingJunkie)
