A few years ago I found this small sushi place in Newport Beach, CA called Sakae. Their all-you-can-eat is amazing because it’s their entire menu with no limitations for $20. Resident Foodbeast Vyanie and I made the trip down there yesterday and this was a roll I had yet to try called the Dynamite Roll. It’s a California roll completely covered in sautéed onions, mushrooms and scallops. Trust me it was amazing.
The nation can finally taste the famous Philly cheesesteak in a cheeseburger at Carls Jr. They are serving up this tag team of flavor for only $3.49! It contains juicy steak, combined with sautéed green bell peppers and onions, melted American and Swiss cheeses, all piled on top of a charbroiled beef patty and served between a seeded bun! It has 750 calories, 45g fat, 16g saturated fat, 105mg cholesterol, 1420mg sodium, 52g carbs, 3g fiber, 9g sugars, 39g protein.
There’s something about this picture that simply makes my heart skip a beat. It just looks tantalizing, everything about it is glistening. We’re looking at a 1/2 pound of Super Beef (grass fed Rib Eye/Sirloin/Prime Rib) patty, Havarti Cheese, 7 pieces of Maple Bacon (yeeeeuh!), Sauteed Onions and a house made Organic Smoked Pepper Mayo all sitting on an organic Essential Baking Company kaiser roll. This picture comes courtesy pouryourheartintoit from the Lunchbox Laboratory in Seattle, WA.
What we’re looking at is a half pound of mouthwatering DORK (Duck + Pork), mounds of Cheddar cheese, 7 pieces of Maple bacon, Sauteed Onions, Zillion Island Sauce all on an organic Essential Baking Company kaiser roll with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. I’m starving. (PicThx PourYourHeartIntoIt)
This sandwich looks like something right out of an Arby’s menu! It is called “The Smoker” and it has a half pound ground ribeye, sirloin, prime rib patty topped with Havarti cheese, seven pieces of maple bacon, sauteed onions and smoked pepper mayo. Arbys, you know what to do. (PicThx TIWYF)
A rich ricotta cheese accented with currant pine nut relish, egg yolk, olive oil, creme fraiche, salt, pepper, sauteed onions, chopped parsley and reduced balsamic vinegar. A little on the bourgeois side of my cravings, but every now and then, it’s time to feel a little spunky. Eat on! (Thx LisaIsCooking)
