Jif’s New Squeezable Pouches Makes Serving Peanut Butter Insanely Easier

A nice creamy peanut butter sandwich is one of the purest delights in this life. The only downside for me, however, is sometimes I’ll fumble with the knife and make my peanut to bread ratio pretty uneven. The sandwich will still be delicious, don’t get me wrong, but some bites will have more bread than peanut butter and vice versa.

Now you can control the portion of peanut butter delivered to any vessel thanks to these new Jif Squeeze Creamy Peanut Butter.

The peanut butter brand has released a new squeezable pouch that releases your peanut butter with the precision of a seasoned surgeon. Through this new method, you can measure much more accurately for recipes and more importantly serve ants on a log without making a mess of your presentation.

You can find these new pouches and mini To Go containers at participating retailers and online this July.

Uncrustables Launches Costco-Like Sandwich Roll-Ups

Last week, we discovered that Smucker’s Uncrustables created a Taco Sandwich that could be found in the frozen food aisles of Target. A bit of a venture from their traditional peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but we have to commend them for shooting their shot. Turns out it doesn’t just stop at tacos.

Smucker’s just unveiled a line of new roll-up sandwiches that have launched in the Target frozen foods section.

For those of you unfamiliar with roll-ups (also known as rollers, roll-ems, or pinwheels), they’re sandwiches rolled together via tortillas or flat breads. You can mostly see the at the Costco deli section where they’re sold in massive platters.

The two new flavors are Turkey & Colby Jack and Uncured Ham & Cheddar.

Each new flavor of Uncrustables feature meat and cheese seasoned and rolled together in flat bread. Pretty simple, but sounds quite tasty nonetheless.

Each box contains three packages of four roll-ups. All you have to do is thaw them out for a bit and they’re ready to eat. You can find these boxes now at all participating Target locations nationwide.

My early morning bagel runs have become something I’ve missed terribly since the “Stay At Home” mandate was issued over here in California. Give me a shop bagel caked in garlic and onion any day of the week.

The box includes 6 fresh baked bagels, a tube of cream cheese, 1 Farmhouse Egg Sandwich, 2 Egg, Peppered Bacon & Cheddar Sandwiches, 4 Blueberry Muffins, and 4 Twice Baked Hash Browns.

Yes. That’ll do nicely.

For anyone interested in getting their hands on this delightful Brunch Box, you can find it at any participating Bruegger’s Bagels location for $29.99. If you’re noting looking to leave the house, home delivery is available through DoorDash.

Ike’s Sandwiches Is Now Delivering Their Famous Dutch Crunch Loaves

Turn any sandwich from your fridge into Ike’s Dutch Crunch? Heck yeah we’re down. While everyone is hunkering down for yet another month thanks to COVID-19, we find some comfort knowing we can crunch on some Dutchy goodness.

Ike’s Love and Sandwiches just announced that they’ll be selling their world-famous Dutch Crunch bread for home delivery this week. Effective immediately, fans can order six loaves of Ike’s bread either through the store or through the mobile app and have it delivered to their homes for $5.99.

A game changer since many of us Ike fans frequent the fan-favorite sandwich shop specifically for the Dutch Crunch option.

Imagine the possibilities having Dutch Crunch at home can entail. As you can see in the images above, I grabbed a bag of Dutch Crunch loaves for myself and created an Animal Style Dino Nugget-stuffed Dutch Crunch sammich.

Yes, it’s as Dino-mite as it sounds.

If you’re interested in ordering some, check out your nearest Ike’s location to see when you can get your loaves.

To Survive, Some Subway Restaurants Are Selling Their Ingredients Like Groceries

With everyone confined to their homes during this pandemic, folks are trying to stock up on as much groceries as they can in order to avoid going outdoors while the threat of COVID-19 looms. Many restaurants have taken to transitioning into a corner store model, where they’re selling their excess inventory to members of the community in need of groceries.

Sandwich chain Subway is now offering a similar model in Orange County locations they’re calling Subway Grocery.

In an effort to help support Subway employees and give back to the local communities, Subway is tapping into their supplier connections and offering up a service where customers can directly order the meats, breads, cheeses, and produce used to craft sandwiches. The service also includes frozen soups, meat and cheese party platters, and cookies.

While originally a Subway in Long Beach, CA was one of the first to offer this service, many new locations throughout Orange County and Los Angeles have begun participating in Subway Grocery.

Yes, the question could be posed: Does anyone really want Subway produce? Just thinking of all those locations we’ve visited with oxidized avocados and slightly browned lettuce does make us hesitate for a hot second. However, with ingredients coming directly from a restaurant grade food supplier, the lackadaisical care from some locations is simply forgone. Should be a pretty safe bet if you want some fresh groceries without having to go to the supermarket chains.

Those looking to order from Subway’s Grocery service can place their order through the nearest participating location here. Pick up options include a contactless curbside pick up, restaurant pick up, or delivery to select areas.

Firehouse Subs Made BEER CHEESE SAUCE For Their New Steak Sub

If you’re hitting up a local pub, chances are there will be beer cheese with some pretzels on the menu. The salty, airy pretzel pairs with the sharp, nutty cheese sauce for a mouthwatering flavor bomb that’s become a staple on bar food menus.

Firehouse Subs is taking inspiration from that classic combination, creating a new sub and side pairing that fuses a steak sub, beer cheese, and pretzels.

The Firehouse Pub Steak sub features a custom beer cheese sauce that the sandwich chain, which was founded by firefighters, developed exclusively for the new creation. Made with White Belgian-style Wheat Ale, American, and Cheddar cheeses, it’s an explosion of sharp and savory flavors that pairs perfectly with steak in a toasted roll.

Firehouse Subs tops the Pub Steak with crispy fried onions, and guests can pair it with Rold Gold Tiny Twists pretzels to give the entire meal that pub vibe.

You can find the Firehouse Pub Steak sub and Rold Gold Tiny Twists at participating Firehouse Subs locations nationwide for a limited time. And to top it all off, a portion of your purchase in 2018 at all U.S. Firehouse Subs locations goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and will be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders.
