Togo’s New Pretzelrami Packs On The Pastrami And We’re Not Mad

There’s never such a thing as too much pastrami. I tell my friends this. I tell my colleagues this. I’ll probably tell my kids this. Knowing the amount of work that goes into brining and smoking the product makes me appreciate the flavorful meat all the more. Just pile anything with pastrami and I’m there.

In my quest to try anything and everything new in the world of pastrami sandwiches, I discovered Togo’s newest addition to their menu lineup. They also recently revamped themselves with a new slogan: True to the Sandwich. To coincide with the relaunch, the sandwich chain created a new signature item in this massive Pretzelrami. It features… you guessed it… tons of pastrami.

The sandwich boasts more than a quarter pound of Togo’s pastrami and is topped with two slices of white cheddar cheese, yellow mustard, dill pickles, and served inside a toasted soft pretzel roll.

Honestly, the best kind of pastrami sandwich is one where there’s so much pastrami falling off, you can throw it on your chips or fries afterwards.

Pastrami-loving patrons can find Togo’s new Pretzelrami permanently on the menu as a signature item. Just be ready for that subsequent food coma that’s sure to follow after crushing one. I know I sure am.

Arby’s Is Testing A Massive Curly Fry Stuffed ‘Arbynator’ Sandwich

Often, when we’re eating fast food sandwiches, we like to throw the occasional handful of fries into our serving to give our bite a mini upgrade. Well, it appears Arby’s is saving us that extra step. The sandwich chain is quietly testing another meaty addition this holiday season.

GrubGrade discovered that an Arby’s in Holland, Michigan, is testing a massive new sandwich they’re calling The Arbynator.

It boasts heaps of Arby’s roast beef, curly fries, and a cheddar cheese sauce. Arby’s later confirmed on Facebook that the sandwich also features Arby’s sauce and Horsey sauce.

Residents of Holland, or any drifters passing through, can find the Arbynator in three different sizes: the Classic, the Double, and the Half Pound.

Coincidentally, one of Wendy’s more popular sandwiches in recent memory goes by the Baconator. Curious.

Whether this curly fry-filled sandwich sees a national release remains to be seen. However, if you happen to be near Michigan, maybe you can grab one of those Half-Pounders for us?

Subway Brings Back Popular REUBEN Sandwich

Last year, Subway introduced a Reuben to their sandwich lineup for a limited time. Sure, it wasn’t as good as something you’d find in an authentic deli, but it was a pretty fantastic attempt for a fast food chain. Especially if you need a quick fix to curb those reuben cravings.

To capitalize on the sandwich’s popularity last go around, Subway is bringing back the reuben this year for a limited time, reports Brand Eating.

The sandwich boasts slices of tender corned beef, sauerkraut, Thousand Island sauce, and Swiss Cheese. It’s served on loaf of toasted rye bread.

As with every other sandwich at Subway, you can customize it with any breads or cheeses available. Patrons can also order a Turkey Reuben that replaces the corned beef with slices of roast turkey.

You can find the reuben sandwiches available at participating Subway locations. They’ll likely stick around through the end of the month.

Every Arby’s Restaurant In America Will Serve Deer Meat Sandwiches For One Day

A while back, Arby’s released a sandwich featuring a deer meat patty. The venison sandwiches sold out almost immediately and fans itching to try them had to be at the few select locations selling the sandwich. Unfortunately, it was a little tougher for some folks than others.

Now, Arby’s is bringing their immensely popular venison sandwiches to every Arby’s restaurant in America. Though just for one day.

Customers will be able to find this venison sandwich on Oct. 21 at every Arby’s location in the United States.

The sandwich features thick-cut venison steak that’s topped with crispy onions and a juniper berry sauce. The meat is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper, and cooked for three hours.

If you’re set on trying it, be sure to line up before the sandwich chain opens its doors as they’ll only be available while supplies last.

Arby’s will also be launching a limited-edition Elk Sandwich on Oct 21 which will only be served at three locations in popular elk-hunting states: Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.

Good luck, everyone.

Two Birds Just Debuted A Pineapple Glazed Chicken Sandwich

Andrew Gruel, founder of Slapfish, Two Birds, and Butterleaf, is constantly working to expanding his culinary empire. Gruel is known for pushing food boundaries in the best way possible – and his reinvention of fried chicken in the form of this “Inside Out” Pineapple Glazed Chicken Sandwich is just one example.

This masterpiece comes straight out of the Two Birds kitchen – a well-known Orange County eatery that uses only organic, free-range Jidori chicken.

In celebration of National Lemonade Day on August 20, Two Birds teamed up with Hubert’s Lemonade to bring you this exclusive pineapple glazed chicken sandwich. Starting with two perfectly fried pieces of Jidori chicken as the bun (yes, you heard us), this sandwich only gets more intense with every layer.

Some consider Jidori to be the Kobe beef of chicken, thanks in part to a strictly organic raising process, which gives the meat an extremely robust flavor. If you’ve never experienced Jidori chicken, it’s about time you did.

To top it off, this inside out masterpiece is stuffed with grilled pineapple, braised pork shoulder, and shredded carrots, and is then smothered in a Hubert’s Pineapple and Ginger Lemonade Glaze for a sweet and savory finish.

If you’re looking to celebrate National Lemonade Day the Two Birds way, mark your calendars now, because this sandwich will phase out on September 3.

See you there!
