Salt Bae Forced To Wear Gloves Because He’s A Walking Health Code Violation

The entertainment value that Nusret “Salt Bae” Gokce provided at his Turkish restaurant was epic, and no one questioned the man who grabbed a handful of salt and stylishly sprinkled it onto his steaks like a rockstar.

Now that the chef has made his way to the U.S., there are people who may question his antics, particularly the health department.

As Eater New York cited, it is a health code violation for restaurants to handle ready-to-eat food with their bare hands, and, well, part of the attraction of the restaurant was Salt Bae himself walking around to tables, cutting their steaks, and doing his little sprinkle with bare hands.

However, Mr. Gokce has been spotted wearing black disposable gloves at freshly-opened Manhattan Nusr-et Steakhouse this week, as he still approaches customer tables, and does his performance art, but he now does it with gloves.

He still looks good doing it, though, because no glove is going to slow down the swagger of the Turkish legend.

There haven’t been any reports that the health department had any complaints, but it was probably best they nip the bare handed show in the bud.

There’s still the issue of the salt pouring on his hairy, masculine forearms before hitting the steak, but there have been no complaints of that, yet.

The restaurant itself has gotten mixed reviews, being called overpriced, and initially serving overcooked steak, but it has since gotten a little better.

Plus, no one actually goes there for the food, as seeing the amazing Salt Bae walk around and do his thing is what customers are paying for.

Salt Bae Just Voted In The Most Salt Bae Way Possible

Internet sensation Nusret Gokce, AKA #SaltBae, is continuously showing that everything he does is the epitome of smooth.

If you don’t believe me, he just made a mundane activity such as voting, look cooler than even P. Diddy ever did during his “Vote or Die” campaign.

Sprinkling a little love into the ballot box, Gokce used his signature salting pose as he dropped in his vote for a referendum to change Turkey’s constitution.

This just shows that his pose can be used in pretty much any occasion, whether it’s a touchdown celebration, a dance move at the club, or even helping decide the future of your country.

Just when you thought the silly pose was dead, he brought it right back to life, gave it energy, and will probably make it relevant for at least another couple weeks.

Saltbae Just Became The Internet’s Sexiest Butcher Overnight

Throughout any given day, most of us have a tendency to spend free time checking Instagram or scrolling through Twitter. Considering the handsome butcher’s looks, and the sensual way he slapped and salted his meat, social media quickly exploded with memes, creating the hashtag ‘Saltbae.’ However, the majority of people had no idea the knife-wielding heartthrob was probably the most popular butcher on Instagram.

With 1 million Instagram followers, Nusret Gokce is the Turkish butcher behind the sunglasses. He owns six Nusr-et Steakhouse locations — yes, all named after himself —  around the globe. Judging by his Instagram photos, he is no stranger to culinary success, posing in photos with Antonio Banderas, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Tommy Hilfiger. Even Bruno Mars tweeted about him recently.

With only the phrase, “Türkiye Dubai Abudahbi Yakında Dünya,” which translates to, “Turkey Dubai Abudahbi Soon World” on his Instagram bio, Nusret’s social media activity shows exactly why the world is falling head over heels for #Saltbae. Sporting a chiseled physique, along with some pretty impressive knife-handling skills,  Saltbae has literally become a real-life meme character for 2017.

While he doesn’t speak much, watching Nusret prepare meat is like watching someone perfectly execute the Tango — but more deliciously. His meat slapping is usually followed up with his signature elbow out, wrist up salt sprinkle, which has now become a new emoji.

While few may have understood the magnitude of Nusret’s culinary prowess, Saltbae has become immortalized through memes and tweets, further enshrining him into our digital hearts forever.
