Wherever you have to go to get yourself a plate of Hawaiian BBQ, please don’t hesitate a moment longer! We post a majority of our Craving postings in the late night hours because let’s face it…when do you crave more than when you’re up late at night?! Right now I have a strange hankering for deep fried chicken katsu, beautiful macaroni salad and white rice. I just want to smother them all with hot sauce and their special sauce, finish the plate in a few minutes, and artificially induce sleep. One of my personal favorite spots to get this dish, L&L Hawaiian BBQ! (PicThx cloudy)
Yesterday was National Foodbeast Day, doubling as the day of our website’s birth, May 6th. While the entire day was filled with good eats, our lunch hour was shared with the homies from Loud & Obnoxious and IM-King clothing, all under one roof for some amazing Persian cuisine in Anaheim. Vince and Robert of L&O have had high praise for this restaurant ever since I met them, and I must concur, their taste is now 110% certified.
There’s nothing quite like it, the fluffy basmati rice, the grilled vegetables, the awesome appetizers, and of course, the melt-in-your mouth assortment of meats. If you’ve yet to try out beautiful Persian cuisine, get out there and do yourself a favor. Come May 6th, we will definitely be getting our ethnic on with the crew! (PicThx Razzle’sTravels)
It’s slightly amusing that we so infrequently bring Middle Eastern food genres to the blog, especially considering that my heritage traces back to the mountains of Lebanon. Today, I’m feeling a ferocious hankering for Sasoon Chicken with a nice helping of garlic sauce. If you don’t know, get familiar, you won’t be disappointed.
A tray sized burrito, stuffed with either ground beef, shredded beef, or shredded chicken, piled high with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, beans, and rice. The burrito is priced at $14.95, but if you can finish it, it’s on the house! If you’re in or around the Sterling Heights, MI area on May 6th, or any other day for that matter, make sure to head over to Pancho Villa’s and try this crazy beast out! (Thx EpicProportions)
There is a secret hidden spot in the Orange circle; a secret hidden sushi spot that noone knows about that sells amazing sushi for super cheap prices. No one can find it. Ok, it’s not a secret at all, actually it’s probably one of the most popular places in the circle. Tokyo Cafe is a godsend. I could rave on and on about how amazing this place is, but instead I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Check out Elie and my business meeting:
Rice. Beans. Eggs sunny side up. All that’s left to do is to pour a heaping amount of salsa all over that plate and get to work! (Thx La Cocina de Ricardo)
