This Michelin-Starred Restaurant Is Using iPads As Plates

A video posted by rosé (@asap.rozzy) on

We’ve seen restaurants that let you order through an iPad, but a Michelin-starred restaurant is taking things to the next level, by actually using iPads as plates.

Quince in San Francisco is known for its French cuisine, but it is now getting attention for its curious plating.

If you order their “A Dog In Search Of Gold” plate, you’ll be served White Truffle Croquettes on top of an iPad screen that plays a video clip of a dog in search of truffles.

There’s also a frog leg dish served on top of an iPad, but this one plays a video of a frog hopping around in a pond, which is kind of creepy. It’s almost like looking your food in the face before you eat it.

People are calling into question how sanitary it is to place food directly on a screen, but it hasn’t stopped anyone from trying these unique meals.

Yeah, it’s a little unnecessary and extra, but you can’t argue too hard against a restaurant that has earned three Michelin stars.

Quince, Manchego, and Ritz Cheesecake Cupcakes

Stef of TheCupcakeProject is low-key one of our favorite cupcake artists Internet-wide. Why? Take a look at the execution on this Quince, Manchego and Ritz Cheesecake Cupcake picture above. We’re looking at a crust made of Ritz crackers, cheesecake and a beautiful quince paste and strings of Manchego cheese topping it all off.
