Bruxie’s New Fried Chicken Seoul Mate is Your Ticket to Sandwich Heaven

One of the greatest food quests we all have is to find the perfect sandwich, one that has everything we ever want in it, but meshes it all together so perfectly into a true orchestra of flavor, texture, spice, and deliciousness.

Folks, that quest is over. We’ve officially discovered that perfect sandwich, and it is a true masterpiece.

Everyone in SoCal knows Bruxie to be a craft factory in terms of fried chicken and waffle sandwiches. Every one that they put on the menu is the perfect blend of crunchy chicken and light, airy waffle.

This new sandwich that they’ve unveiled for Noods Noods Noods — Foodbeast’s very own noodle-based food festival presented by Cup Noodles in Downtown Santa Ana — takes sandwich making to a whole new level. This new creation, called the Fried Chicken Seoul Mate, has a perfect blend of ingredients to make it the world’s greatest sandwich.

This sandwich starts off with a spicy fried chicken thigh and Bruxie’s signature crisp waffle. What’s added on afterward just builds into sheer awesomeness. Smoky, rich pulled pork melded with a creamy, spice queso and mixed with ramen — basically, an epic fusion spin on pulled pork macaroni and cheese. Spring onions are also added for that perfectly aromatic note to cut through all the richness.

If that wasn’t enough, the sandwich also comes with a generous helping of kimchi, and the perfectly acidic component to add to the crunchy fried chicken, creamy ramen, and crisp waffle.

This God-sent sandwich will only be available in the VIP section of the Noods Noods Noods Festival this coming Saturday, January 14th. The festival is going on from 12 pm – 11 pm at the eSports Arena in Downtown Santa Ana, with two VIP sessions available from 1-4 and from 5-8. Make sure to get your VIP tickets ASAP (and use the code “FIVE” for $5 off of your VIP ticket purchase) so that you can come experience this once-in-a-lifetime sandwich for yourself.

We guarantee that after a bite, you’ll be in sandwich heaven.

Taco Bell Adds Double Stacked Tacos For $1

Taco Bell just announced the addition of a new Dollar Menu item that left our mouths watering. The fast food chain just announced their new Double Stacked Tacos, which will be rolling out nationally in a few days.

Made with both a hard tortilla and a soft tortilla, the Double Stacked Taco’s two shells are held together with a different flavor of sauce. The new menu item will be available in three flavors: Cool Habanero, Sweet & Spicy, and Cheddar Crunch.

We ordered one up featuring a Doritos Locos Taco shell and it tasted pretty awesome. Getting a DLR hard shell, however, will result in a 20-cent uncharge. A small price to pay for some leveled-up goodness.

You can find the new Double Stacked Tacos at participating Taco Bell locations on Dec. 22.

Taco Bell Just Announced A Steakhouse Burrito And Nachos Filled With Queso

It seems like Taco Bell is slowly creeping up into steakhouse territory, now that they’ve cornered the Doritos market. The fast food chain announced that they’re introducing two new items, inspired by the classic steakhouse, that’ll hit national locations immediately.

The first will be a Steakhouse Burrito featuring grilled steak, potatoes bites, three cheeses, sour cream, and Green Chile Queso wrapped in a flour tortilla.

If you enjoy getting your fingers covered in cheese, Taco Bell is also introducing these new Steakhouse Nachos that are topped with strips of steak, beans, cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and queso.

So what exactly is queso?

While Taco Bell already has a nacho cheese sauce, this will be the first time they serve queso, a Tex-Mex style cheese sauce made from blending two different types of cheese with cream, an onion base, and sweet and spicy peppers.

Nacho cheese, on the other end of the spectrum, is made entirely of processed cheese.

You can find these new items available nationwide at participating Taco Bell locations.

This Cafe Created A Chorizo Cheese Donut I’d Happily Eat For Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

We’ve seen quite a few donuts in our day, but this one really takes the ring-shaped cake.

Cafe Calacas in downtown Santa Ana, CA, created a new Queso Fundido Chorizo Brioche Donut.

Like its literal name, the item features a brioche donut topped with a creamy blend of fundido cheese that’s mixed with savory chorizo.

The item will make its first appearance at the second annual cheese festival known as Oozefest, which will take place on Saturday Oct. 15 and Sunday Oct. 16.

If you want to try the donut, you’re gonna have to grab some VIP tickets to the event. Those ensure you can get all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink for the entirety of your time at Oozefest.

Hopefully, with enough hype, the donuts may become a permanent addition to the restaurant’s bakery options.

7-Eleven Testing Deep-Fried Doritos Stuffed with Melted Nacho Cheese

Anyone who’s ever enjoyed a decent (or hell, even half-decent) crispy, melty mozzarella stick has seen the face of God. Keep your fancy bries and panko breading; no amount of frou-frou ingredients could possibly improve on mozzarella sticks’ pure and utter perfection.

Except, okay, maybe Doritos.

The internet woke today to news of a new test product spotted at 7-Elevens in Washington D.C. called “Doritos Loaded.” ‘Net-designated vanguard Kevin Cobb, who tweeted a photo of the snacks as early as January 28th, described them as “nacho cheese Doritos dipped in queso.” A subsequent taste test by Junk Food Guy found the deep-fried triangles to be “almost too crispy. Like, sitting-under-a-heart-lamp-for-too-long crispy.” We ourselves will wait patiently for Dude Foods to teach us how to make our own.

Spokespersons for 7-Eleven have told news sources the product is currently just in its test phases, and it’s too early to discuss it publicly.

It’s not, however, too early for the rest of us to gawk. Spotted some at your local 7-Eleven? Send us your pics @foodbeast or!
