Auntie Anne’s Introduces Their New Matcha Green Tea Cheesecake Pretzels

Auntie Anne’s, the famed soft pretzel company, might finally get a step up on Wetzel’s Pretzels with their newest creation, the Matcha Green Tea Cheescake Pretzel. Bit of a mouthful, but surely this new delectable treat is too.

Although this pretzel is only coming out in Japan, the steady rise of matcha as a staple in many foods seems to be a trend that’s not going away any time soon, so a quick trip over the Pacific may be in store for these new additions to Auntie Anne’s family.

These new delights are stuffed with equal parts matcha cream and cheesecake cream, then rolled in crushed almonds to round out the flavor. The pretzel rolls will be sold for 420 yen (or $3.75). Unfortunately, this promotion only lasts until May 31st before it is removed from menus.

Carl’s Jr. Is Testing Soft Pretzels With BEER CHEESE DIPPING SAUCE

This morning, Elie came into the office with a bag of pretzels from Carl’s Jr. Turns out he drove by one of the few locations that were testing Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel sticks served with a beer cheese sauce.

The pretzels are available in orders of three pieces for $3.29 and five for $4.59. Each order comes with a container of a sweet beer cheese sauce you can dip your pretzels into.

Guess Carl’s is revving up for Oktoberfest.

Last year, the burger chain released a similar product that featured pretzel bites stuffed with cheddar. This time, however, you’re gonna have to get the cheese on pretzels yourselves.

We did get to try them back at the office. They definitely weren’t bad and the cheese sauce was also pretty interesting. Kinda hope this makes a national release.

Auntie Anne’s Adds Cheese-Stuffed Pretzel Nuggets To Menu

Sometimes, trying to juggle an entire pretzel and dunking it in cheese sauce can be overwhelming. Good thing we live in a time where everything comes stuffed and bite-sized.

Auntie Anne’s is set to release new Cheddar Stuffed Pretzel Nuggets. Made with the chain’s signature pretzel dough, the miniature bites are filled with melted cheddar cheese and salted. No longer will you have to tear apart your pretzel until it’s a reasonable size for dunking.

The pretzel nuggets will hit participating Auntie Anne’s locations Monday, May 18 and will be available for a limited time through December. Patrons can find them for about $4.99 an order.
