Chipotle is Testing Pollo Asado in Select Markets

Chipotle is testing a new innovation with their chicken, the first of its kind in its 28-year history, by offering Pollo Asado at 95 locations in Cincinatti, Ohio and Sacramento, California.

This new variety of grilled chicken at Chipotle is treated with a dry rub of cumin, guajillo peppers, and coriander. It’s then hand-cut and finished with garlic, chili peppers, fresh squeezed lime, and chopped cilantro.

To celebrate the test of the new Pollo Asado, Chipotle has a $0 delivery fee on all Pollo Asado orders via the Chipotle app and from November 8 through November 14.

Pollo Asado will be available at participating locations in Cincinnati and Sacramento for a limited time.

Del Taco: Asada Tacos (Free Coupon Inside)

Just yesterday we mentioned Del Taco’s addition of Loaded Fries to their expanding menu. Today we take note of their new Asada Taco line, a nod to traditional street tacos. Available with either grilled, marinated steak or chicken, served on corn tortillas and topped with ‘tangy guacamole’ and ‘fresh salsa’.

Every order also comes with a lime wedge to get that extra kick of fresh citrus. The idea behind these tacos, as positioned by Vice President of Marketing at Del Taco, John Cappasola is that, “Like street tacos, our Asada Tacos will be enjoyable to anyone who is looking for a mouth-watering event that bursts with flavor with every single bite of a taco.

For those who aren’t decision makers, Del Taco has put together a “$5 Asada Taco Meal” that includes a small drink and two tacos, giving you the chance to mix and match. Oh yeah, almost forgot. Become a fan of Del Taco on Facebook, and you will be granted access to a coupon for a free Asada taco of your choosing (with any purchase).
