Gamer Mold Lets You Make Sweets in the Shape of Classic Controllers

Every time we see a classic controller, the nostalgia feelings kick in. We remember waking up early on a Saturday morning, finishing the latest quest in Final Fantasy VII and spending our hard-earned GP at the Golden Saucer. The only thing better than recreating those memories would be doing so in cake form. Queue controller molds.

The silicone mold features three different controllers based off the classic Nintendo, Sony and Sega systems. It allows for two of each controller to be made at a single time. One can either create cakes with the molds, ice displays, or even pure melted chocolate ready to harden. The molds are yours to do with as you please.

The Classic Controller molds can be purchased at Think Geek for $10. They’re also dishwasher safe for you lazys.

Taco Bell Giving Away a Free PS4 Every 15 Minutes

Although it’s not quite Willy Wonka giving away his chocolate factory, this could very well be the next best thing. Promoting their new $5 Buck Box and Big Box meals, Taco Bell will be giving away free Playstation 4 consoles in a six-week long promotion.

The chain will give away the Ps4 consoles to customers who text the winning code that is found on each Buck Box or Big Box meals at participating Taco Bell locations. Tip: you can request a code via mail or online without a purchase if you’re 18 or older.

Oh, and the chain will be giving away consoles roughly every 15 minutes from September 26 to November 10.

“But the Ps4 isn’t on sale until after Novermeber 15!” you may say to yourself. That’s right. Lucky winners will be getting a jump on their gaming before everyone else, plus a copy of the game Knack and a year-long membership to Playstation Plus.

Playstation Wine Definitively Proves Playstation > Xbox

With the upcoming release of the PS4 and the XBox One, there has been heated debate over who will have the best console. However, it looks like Playstation just took the edge with this little novelty right here. Because everyone knows a bottle of wine will always pair perfectly with GTA V.

The bottle is an official Playstation piece of history in celebration of 20 million North American units sold. The wine itself is Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi. As of last year, it was going for $250. Sadly, it looks as if this item is no longer available for purchase.

Still, that won’t stop us from picking up other forms of liquor to get our gaming on.

Friday night, here’s looking at you!

Eat These Wii, Playstation and Xbox 360 Remote Cookies

For those of us who forget that magic code from the 1980s in a pinch (up, up, down, down, left… something else?), Etsy user peapodscookies is there to lend a hand. Or at least, a few extra thumbs.

Okay, fine. She won’t actually crawl in through your living room to help you defeat the boss, but she will offer up a quick sugar fix, available in three different consoles. Each of her five inch cookies are hand decorated to resemble a Wii remote, a Playstation remote, or one of those behemoths that comes with an Xbox 360.

The best part? No more pausing in the middle of a game to charge these bad boys. If they’re giving you problems (too adorable, perhaps?), we suggest you eat them ASAP.

This Bento Box Shaped Like a PS3 Sadly Doesn’t Play Any Games

Imagine, you’re sitting on the playground getting ready for lunch when you whip out this little beauty: a bento lunch box designed to look like a PS3. You watch as your classmates’ eyes widen in awe, then eventually crinkle in sadness when they finally realize that no, your mom didn’t let you bring your console to school, and even if she did, you wouldn’t have any TV out here to play it on anyhow.

And then everyone continues on with life as usual. The end.

Anticlimactic fairy tales aside, Sony is launching its new bento design in commemoration of its popular Final Fantasy and Metal Gear game series. The work required to create the masterpiece involved a laser cutting machine, traditional Japanese woodwork and a lacquer treatment in Kyoto — ooh, ahhh.

S’far as we can tell, the PS3 bento isn’t available for sale just yet. (What can I say, Google Translated Engrish is confusing.) But when it does go commercial, it’s sure to make an awesome belated Christmas present for all the momma’s boy gamers in your life.

Taco Bell’s Unlock the Box Promotion Will Give Away 5,000 Playstation® Vitas

Starting tomorrow, January 26, 2012, Taco Bell’s newest promotion will enter you in a contest to win brand new Playstation Vita (Sony’s newest handheld entertainment system), before they even hit the shelves! Every fifteen minutes, one lucky person will become a proud new owner of the PS Vita.

Luckily, Taco Bell is giving you three different ways to win a brand new Vita. Here’s how you can [possibly] land your hands on one:

  1. Unlock The Box: Enter the code found on specially marked $5 Buck Boxes at your local Taco Bell.
  2. Battle: Download “Reality Fighters Dojo A.R.” Taco Bell’s new mobile app & game, and battle for your chance to win.
  3. Boast: Submit a video or photo “boasting” about what you’d do for a Playstation Vita. The winner of the boast will be decided on the most votes, so I guess it’s safe to say that you should at least keep it PG-13.

The promotion’s final day is March 11, so if you’re a gamer like the millions of people in the US, then I highly suggest you hit up your nearest Taco Bell tomorrow. Check out the official website here for more information and the official rules.
