Prepare to eat pixel dust, fellow gamers. This video game food pyramid recommends daily servings of health-replenishing crutches from our favorite childhood games, including Super Mario Bros., Zelda, Pacman, Final Fight, and Streets of Rage. At the moment, we’re debating on what disembodied hearts and anthropomorphic stars would actually taste like. So far we’ve got strawberry, cherry and red fruit loops for the pixelated hearts and lemon drops for the creepy star. Yes, we have a lot of time on our hands.
Although, we don’t quite trust the turkey from Streets of Rage. I’d rather chow down on a blue ghost (tastes like blueberries!) than poultry suspiciously left on the street.

Created in anticipation of boxer Manny Pacquiao’s possible eight world title, the Manila Machine food truck has formulated an amazing looking sandwich with some key ingredients. Called “The Southpaw” AKA “The Sisig Sandwich“, we’re looking at a full-size pan de sal roll filled with the truck’s signature Sisig (citrus-marinated Pork Jowls), sriracha mayo, crumbled chicharon, onions, a fried egg and a drizzle of banana ketchup and sriracha. Make sure to stay up on the Manila Machine Twitter feed to find out when these guys will be coming through your neck of the woods!
Sometimes a disfigured fry can be your worst enemy. This time, it’s the hero, and the ketchup is about to get devoured. Wait. Is Pac-Man necessarily the bad guy in this game? He’s eating a bunch of pills, and messing around with ghosts. Chew on that. Pun intended. (PicThx MFLF)
The Pacman sandwich is made up of bread, raisins and Manwich sloppy joe mix. For some reason, I’m very, very down! (PicThx Insanewiches)
