NFL Legend Charles Woodson Handles The One Chip Challenge Like A Boss [WATCH]

Football legend Charles Woodson is known as one of the best defensive players to ever hit the gridiron. Recently, folks have discovered that he also has a hidden talent: handling extremely spicy food like a complete badass.

Woodson, who is now a member of the sportscasting team for ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, took on the infernal One Chip Challenge alongside co-host Matt Hasselbeck. At approximately 1.9 million Scoville heat units, the fire in this chip is hard to contain. Unless you’re Charles Woodson, apparently.

Hasselbeck reached for the milk almost immediately, but Woodson held the line against reaching for any cooling agents. Boldly proclaiming that it was “nothing” to him, Woodson ended up finishing the entire thing without a single sip of milk or drop of sweat.

Considering that the challenge has taken down giants like Shaquille O’Neal and members of the Pittsburgh Steelers, what Charles Woodson was able to accomplish on live TV that night is definitely astonishing.

Watch Shaquille O’Neal Get Wrecked By The One Chip Challenge

Shaquille O’Neal is notorious for his ridiculous antics and good humor as an analyst on Inside the NBA. This past week, however, the basketball legend appears to have met his match in the notorious One Chip Challenge from Paqui.

The Carolina Reaper-laced chip has already done some people in, including a poor newscaster who vomited live on set as a result of tasting the chip. While Shaq didn’t fare as bad as that lady, his attempt, captured while filming the latest episode of Outside the NBA, ended in utter hilarity.

TNT played the clip in its entirety during the ending of Inside the NBA last night. While Shaq tried to resist the pain at first, he ultimately succumbed to it as all challengers do, and eventually ran off of the set like he was on a fastbreak.

Fellow analyst Kenny “The Jet” Smith kinda tried doing the challenge as well. During halftime of a game last night, he claimed to have placed a single Dorito on the spicy Paqui chip and eaten that to get an idea of how hot it was, and was “numb” by the time the segment ended.

Out of their whole crew, only Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley have yet to even attempt the One Chip Challenge, and Shaq told Chuck on-air that he would donate $50,000 to a charity of his choice if he ate the tortilla triangle from hell. Judging from Shaq’s reaction to the challenge, though, it’s doubtful that Sir Charles would even touch one of those chips in his lifetime.

News Crew Tries The One Chip Challenge On Live TV And It Doesn’t Go Well At All

The Channel 2 Denver Morning News team, especially anchor Natalie Tysdale, was taken on a trip to hell and back after taking on the infamous #OneChipChallenge live on camera.

The notorious #OneChipChallenge consists of eating an entire Carolina Reaper Madness Chip from Paqui. But before you mock those who suffer under the wrath of a single chip, it’s important to note that this year’s chips were made with Carolina Reaper peppers that clocked in at 1.9 million Scoville units AND are said to be 25% hotter than last year’s chip.

So having tried the challenge ourselves, we knew that the Channel 2 Denver team would not disappoint with their reaction. However, there was one anchor who stole the show: Natalie Tysdale.

You can see Tysdale cautiously inserting a part of the chip in her mouth while taking a selfie at the 1:13 mark and eventually meeting her inescapable demise a mere 30 seconds later at the 1:45 mark.

Some Reddit users found her reaction to be hilarious, while some wanted to see her on the First We Feast’s Hot One’s challenge.

But for those who are worried about her health, don’t worry, she’s alive and kicking. On her official Facebook, she wrote, “I thought I was okay until I had a drink of my coffee to wash down the chip. I threw up, couldn’t breathe and felt like fire was coming out of my mouth, nose and ears. I had a bottle of water, a glass of milk, a tablespoon of honey and 3 mints and still felt on fire. An hour later I had chills and a massive headache. Three hours have gone by and I feel like I was beat up in a dark alley.”

Sure, she got extremely physically ill, but she’s still, you know, fine. And even though Tysdale may have survived the challenge this time, we highly doubt that there’ll be a second go around.

Take on the challenge too, if you dare.

Paqui’s One Chip Challenge Returns And It’s Even Hotter Than Last Time

Remember the One Chip Challenge from last year? This insanely hot Carolina Reaper chip from Paqui had tons of people crying, breathing fire like dragons, and regretting that they had been born. Multiple members of Foodbeast took it on, with some barely surviving to tell the tale of it. However, many people were able to conquer the spicy snack, even eating multiple chips while doing so. To make it harder this year, the One Chip Challenge returns with even more heat for chili heads to sweat over.

The Carolina Reapers that Paqui used to make the chips this year checked in at 1.9 million Scoville units, according to Ed Currie of PuckerButt Pepper Company. Currie, who cultivates the Reapers he developed along with Pepper X, the world’s hottest pepper, turned in a set of Reaper chilies that were 1.5 million Scoville units last year to make the One Chip Challenge. That means that this year, the One Chip Challenge returns at a heat level that’s about 25% hotter than the previous time around.

The crispy triangles of death are now available online for $4.99 each. If you participate in the challenge and upload your video of pain to Instagram or Twitter with the hashtags #OneChipChallenge and #Sweeps, you’ll also be entered to win a lifetime supply of Paqui’s regular stockpile of chips.

Best of luck to all of those who attempt the challenge this time around. Make sure to keep a fire extinguisher and a few gallons of ice cream handy.

We Convinced Our Boss To Eat The World’s Hottest Chip, He Immediately Regretted It

I watched my boss almost die, and it was glorious. I could see the pain in his eyes, the sweat falling down his cheek, and the immediate regret in his body language as not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR of the world’s hottest chips consumed him.

Paqui Chips claims to have the world’s hottest chip, that literally comes in a single package because you’d be a fool to try more than one.

Thankfully, we are full of foolishness here at Foodbeast, so without prior knowledge of how hot the chip was, and without watching other people’s horrifying reaction, our own Elie Ayrouth and Rudy Chaney took on Paqui’s “One Chip Challenge.”

They both knew it’d be hot, but they didn’t anticipate just how bad it would be.

This “Fear the Reaper” chip is made with Carolina Reaper peppers, which are considered the the world’s hottest by Guinness World Records. On top of that, they add some ghost peppers to the mix.

Watching your boss stomach four of the world’s hottest chips was like an early Christmas present and we appreciate him for it.
