Disneyland’s Newest Macaron Comes With A Hidden ‘Bleeding Sprinkle’ Surprise

Have your smartphones on the ready when buying Disneyland’s newest macaron, because whoever bites into it is gonna be in for a bit of a surprise.

When you break into the new Birthday Hat Macaron at Disney California Adventure’s Cozy Cone Motel, you’re going to unleash a flurry of sprinkles that are hiding in the middle of the treat. It’s akin to the viral “bleeding sprinkles” cakes that have cracked off on Instagram, but in a smaller, more jolting form.

Foodbeast’s own Elie Ayrouth got an early sneak peek at the new treat, which drops in January to coincide with the new “Get Your Ears On” Mickey and Minnie Mouse celebration. Peep the video below to check out his full experience with the macaron, including the color it changed his tongue at the end.

It’s not all flash and flair with the Birthday Hat Macaron, however. Ayrouth noted that the macaron and filling inside tasted like cotton candy, making this treat a unique fusion of multiple modern theme park favorites.

The macaron will be available at the Cozy Cone Motel during the Get Your Ears On celebration, which lasts through the whole of 2019.

OREO’s Releasing A Limited Edition Disney Collab, Here’s A Sneak Peek

During the Sweets and Snacks Expo, OREO showed off six of their upcoming flavors for 2018, one of them being a collab with Disney and the big mouse himself.

Our friend Chris of Junk Banter, who is usually on top of all the new OREO flavors, provided a sneak peek of a limited edition Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake flavor, with Mickey Mouse prints on the cookie.

Coming along for the 2018 ride will be a Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake flavor, Rocky Road Trip, Peppermint Bark, Pistachio Thins, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, which has been rumored since December, 2017.

All the flavors sound amazing (except maybe the pistachio. Who asked for that?), and those who grew up with strawberry shortcake ice cream bars are probably extra excited to try that one.

The Strawberry shortcake and Rocky Road are expected to release this summer, while the Peppermint Bark are expected to be a holiday season release.

A post shared by (@junkbanter) on

OREO’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and Pistachio will release in 2018, but we don’t really know when, yet.

The Mickey Mouse collab will likely come out around November, as it’s celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey’s film debut in Steamboat Willie, back on Nov. 18, 1928.

OREO flavor launches have turned into the equivalent of a new shoe release. We never know what OREO is going to come up with next, but we always know something is coming.

A post shared by (@junkbanter) on

OREO didn’t try to keep anything secret, and they shouldn’t, since the flavors always get leaked anyway. Now we know what to expect. Those Mickey OREOs are going to be a hot pickup, and the Strawberry Shortcake are also an instacop. Hope you’re not on a diet this summer.

Disney Dim Sum Is A Thing And We Can’t Decide If It’s Delicious Or Deranged

If you love all things Disney just as much as you love stuffing your face with snacks, you might want to stop what you’re doing and pay attention.

It turns out you don’t need a foodie fairy godmother to make all of your magical meal wishes come true. Apparently, all you have to do is stop by the Crystal Lotus restaurant in Hong Kong’s Disneyland Hotel for some of its Signature Disney Dim Sum.

That’s right. Dim sum shaped like your favorite Disney characters is now a real thing, and we’re not really sure how we feel about them.

I mean, don’t get me wrong. A lot of these dim sums are pretty damn cute but upon closer inspection, you’ll discover that some of these Disney characters look slightly deranged in dumpling form.

The menu includes a variety of enchanting eats that include everything from Mickey Mouse-shaped har gow and seafood pancakes to Baymax-inspired boas. There’s also Chicken Little dumplings and a trio of BBQ pork-filled buns inspired by the Three Little Pigs that are guaranteed to make you squeal.

Whether you think these little fellas are cute or creepy, we can probably all agree that Disney shaped dim sum is still a pretty cool idea. It doesn’t hurt that these dumplings look delicious AF, either.

Check out the pictures below to see the Signature Disney Dim Sum from Hong Kong:

This Cartoon Shows Mickey Mouse Doing UNSPEAKABLE Things To Swiss Cheese

Apparently this GIF has been around since at least 2011, but I saw it for the first time this morning when I should have been working, but was instead scrolling down my Facebook timeline.

WHAT!!!!!! My childhood is been ruined.

Posted by Samy Irssak on Friday, July 3, 2015

So, this old school video shows a jubilant Mickey Mouse sporting a pretty impressive boner that he uses to randomly poke holes in his Swiss Cheese. Apparently, this was the most effective way to make Swiss Cheese in the 1940s.

Upon seeing this video, your initial reaction is probably, “My childhood has been ruined!”

Your second reaction is probably, “This can’t be real.”

That was my reaction, at least, and I jumped on good ol’ Snopes to see if this video would be debunked, or if it actually was a weird subliminal message Disney tried to engrave in our tender little minds.

Screen Shot 2015-07-07 at 11.28.54 AM

It turned out to be fake, but not without a crazy amount of effort and detail by the Photoshopper.

This thing wasn’t even originally a real scene, so if you saw that video and said, “OMG, I remember that!” you’re a lying piece of s**t.

The GIF was comprised of several different classic Disney scenes and morphed into this masterpiece.

That particular Mickey was grabbed from the famous Steamboat Willie cartoon, which does not feature a boner.

This scene may not be real, but it sure is impressive, if only for that massive mouse boner.

Disney Might Buy The Food Network…We Imagine Miley vs. Paula Showdown

Apparently owning the happiest place on earth, a publisher, a comic book publisher, the largest sports news network, movie production and your own channel just didn’t do it for Disney. With the recent news of the Scripps Networks’, which owns The Travel Channel, HGTV and The Food Network, controlling family trust disbanding, Bloomberg has reported that Disney may just be the top candidate to take over. According to the report, this allegedly would be a move to draw a larger female audience. Who knew I wasn’t supposed to love The Food Network and HGTV… at least they didn’t mention the DIY channel!

So what would a Disney owned Food Network look like? Here are some thoughts and moments that I, for one, am excited about:

When Paula Deen tells Miley Cyrus that cigarettes will kill her, and Miley turns back to Paula and says, “Really? Butter check yourself!”

When Mickey tells Robert Irvine to stop making people cry.

When they come out with a new show: Phineas and Herb: How to cook with spices and plants.

When Ted Allen looks at Zac Efron and says, “I’m sorry Chefron, but you’ve been chopped!” Looks like it’s Seventeen Sous Chef Again for you Zac.

Classic Mickey Waffle Maker

Mickey Mouse is a household name for many, and an absolute icon for some. For those that care to have their waffles shaped like the famous mouse every morning, you’re in luck with this Classic Mickey Waffle Maker. The skillet makes waffles approximately 7″ in length, is completely nonstick and even has a nice indicator light in the shape of Mickey’s silhouette. Brushed stainless steel finish with a laser etched logo keep the elegance together on such a novel kitchen item. ($34.99 @ Amazon)

Disney® Mickey Mouse Burger Press

For me, chomping into a silhouette of Mickey Mouse would make me a nervous wreck. For others, it might be totally acceptable. In fact, for years Disney theme parks have been serving up Mickey Hamburgers, and others have made their own homemade Mickey burgers to mediocre-avail.

The Disney-registered non-stick die-cast aluminum ground meat shaper is super simple to use — place meat into mold and press down. Out comes Mickey-shaped patties. Along with the kit comes a Mickey-shaped bun cutter so your mouse-shaped meat patties won’t get overshadowed by normal, run-of-the-mill buns.

We’re pretty sure if you pressed down hard enough, you could use the cutter to form cheese, tomatoes and lettuce into Disney-branded silhouettes. Enjoy you Disney freaks –. ($24 @ Betty’s Attic)

Mickey Mouse made of hamburger parts

By now, a majority of you have seen the Mickey Mouse Shaped Burger from their park in Japan, but have you seen this unofficial fan made one from our friend Char.L.Ton? In his quest to make every day burger related, he’s constructed one of the cutest, most mouthwatering renderings of Disney’s beloved mascot that we’ve ever seen. Did we mention, everything is made from open-faced sliders, cheese, sauce, onions, spinach leaves and tomatoes? Oh Mickey…I could just eat you up!
