McDonald’s Just Dropped A New French Toast McGriddles And We Are HYPED

McDonald’s has just made its first change to its morning time breads since 2003, when McGriddles first came out. This time, they’re utilizing French toast as the canvas to the griddled meats, eggs, and cheese piled inside of their breakfast sandwiches.

The new French Toast McGriddles are being used to create McDonald’s version of an all-in-one breakfast sandwich. Called the McGriddles French Toast Breakfast Sandwich, bacon and sausage are piled inside with American cheese and a fried egg. The bread itself is brioche, so you’re getting richness with a hit of cinnamon and vanilla from that as well.

For now, you need to be in Minnesota to get it, as 200 locations there are testing out the sandwich right now. If it does prove to be a success and roll out nationwide, though, it’ll be the biggest breakfast sandwich McDonald’s currently has on its morning meal lineup.

McDonald’s Expands All Day Breakfast, Will Finally Offer McGriddles

McDonald’s has been KILLING it ever since they made breakfast an all day event. The Mcdonald’s breakfast scene in the Adam Sandler film Big Daddy probably best described our frustration at the chain’s time-sensitive menu.

Last year, the burger chain answered our prayers by serving select items from the breakfast menu all day long. Those items included the Sausage McMuffin, the Sausage McMuffin with Egg, the Egg McMuffin, Hotcakes with Sausage and Hashbrowns.

Sadly, no McGriddles.

Well, wipe those tears away. McDonald’s has announced that they’ll be expanding the breakfast menu to include the beloved sandwiches.

They’ll be joining their English Muffin and biscuit brethren on the all-day breakfast menu in September. This will make it nearly two years since the national release of all day breakfast.
