Costco Is Selling A Wedding Cake Made Entirely Of Cheese Wheels

A wedding cake is one of the most universal symbols of new love, and picking the perfect one can really set the tone for the rest of the marriage. That’s why there are so many flavors and designs to appeal to every personality and preference under the sun.

For all the dairy lovers ready to embark on a lifetime of love (and artisanal cheese), Costco is offering a wedding cake that’s sure to send any cheese-loving couple off to a fantastic start.

The Cheese Lover Celebration Cake is made up of gourmet cheeses from around the world, and totals about 24 pounds of dairy from top to bottom, all at a cost of $440.

This cake is comprised of five cheeses: Red Leicester, Danish Blue, Murcia al Vino, Tuscan Sheep’s Cheese, and Brilliant Savarin Triple Cream Brie. You can store each individual wheel in the fridge until you’re ready to assemble them and decorate them.

Each cake serves approximately 105 to 150.

Hopefully you won’t need to present a marriage license in order to snag this mountain of cheese. I would love to just pop a Lactaid pill and just dive into this bad boy on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

FDA Scolds Bakery For Declaring ‘Love’ As An Ingredient In Their Granola

Apologies to grandmas and secret recipe holders everywhere, but apparently it’s no longer okay to declare “love” as an ingredient of our food.

The FDA is cracking down on Massachusetts-based Nashoba Brook Bakery for claiming that love makes up a part of their granola. The official warning letter from the FDA reads as follows:

“Your Nashoba Granola label lists ingredient “Love”. Ingredients required to be declared on the label or labeling of food must be listed by their common or usual name [21 CFR 101.4(a)(1). “Love” is not a common or usual name of an ingredient, and is considered to be intervening material because it is not part of the common or usual name of the ingredient.”

Talk about being a killjoy.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Nashoba Brook CEO John Gates classified the FDA’s statement as Orwellian. “Situations like that where the government is telling you you can’t list ‘love’ as an ingredient, because it might be deceptive, just feels so silly,” he said.

The warning letter did contain notices of several other violations of FDA health and labeling policies, which Gates already has his business morphing into compliance for. He plans to send a letter of response in the next week.

Regardless, the FDA’s warning letter serves as a message to others: Don’t claim love to be one of your ingredients. Perhaps, instead, we could say that we put soul into our food?

For $600, You Can Now Get Married At Taco Bell

Earlier this year, we broke the news that Taco Bell’s Las Vegas Cantina location would begin offering weddings to patrons over the summer. That’s right, love birds could officially tie the knot at Taco Bell by purchasing wedding packages.

Taco Bell just announced that beginning August 7, anyone can now sign up for a ceremony at the flagship Las Vegas Cantina restaurant.

A few months ago, the fast food chain held a contest for two lucky Taco Bell lovers to be the first to wed at the location. On June 25, Dan Ryckert and Bianca Monda made Cantina history by exchanging vows and tacos in front of friends and family.

At $600, the wedding package includes an official ceremony complete with ordained officiant, a private reception for 15 guests, customized swag for the bride and groom, Taco Bell branded champagne flutes, a Taco 12-pack, a Cinnabon Delights cake, and a bouquet made of hot sauce packets.

If you happen to be in Vegas and want to lock down the love of your life, here are all the nitty gritty details on how to get married at the flagship Cantina.

7 Taco Bell Weddings That Truly Show Us What Love Is

Have you ever considered getting married at Taco Bell?

For those that would consider it, they’d be glad to know that the fast food chain recently announced that they will be throwing a free wedding to one lucky couple in their newly opened Las Vegas Cantina location. This summer, they’ll also be offering full wedding packages for $600 at the Cantina.

For those of you who can’t wait that long, and can’t leave your wedding to chance, perhaps you can draw a little inspiration from some past Taco Bell-inspired marriages

These seven people decided to Live Mas and began a lifelong commitment together on the foundation of the widely popular food chain. Check them out below!

The McCarthy’s

Kevin and Lauren had their first date at a Taco Bell. For their wedding, they decided to serve 200 tacos/burritos to their guests in a glorious fast food feast. Wonder if anyone would notice a few crashers?

The Hall’s

McKenna and Davis Hall shared their “I Do’s” with Taco Bell’s fiery hot sauce. Nothing says love more than having someone to bite open those stubborn hot sauce packets for you. That’s the real commitment.

Nick Walter loved Mountain Dew Baja Blast so much, he created a video in hopes of having Taco Bell provide some Baja Blast at his wedding. It’s safe to say, that October 27 was the best day of his life.

The Zarzour’s

A first meal as husband and wife can set the tone for the rest of the marriage. Mike and Summer Zarzour went all out and took their wedding party to Taco Bell to devour some Chipotle Chicken Loaded Grillers.

The Shah’s

Eating Taco Bell at a wedding can be a pretty bold statement, but even bolder is having a custom-made cake shaped exactly like a Taco Bell. Megan Shah surprised her new husband Amish with an admittedly mouthwatering cake of the fast food restaurant.

The Cook’s

Everyone has that dream place they have to get their wedding photos taken at. For Courney and Chris Cook, that dream was Taco Bell. The couple needed a location they were both fond of to begin documenting their new life together, so naturally…

The Chieng’s

What would you do if you had free reign of a Taco Bell Truck? This was Stacey and Peter’s big day as the newlywed couple were greeted by a truck that dispensed all the Taco Bell they wanted to eat. Doritos Locos Tacos and all.

Taco Bell Is Now Offering Full-Service Weddings In Vegas

Taco Bell just announced they will be giving two lucky lovers a chance to have a dream wedding. The fast food chain is offering a paid trip to Las Vegas to become the first couple to tie the knot at their recently-opened Las Vegas Cantina flagship.

Yep, this includes a bouquet of hot sauce packets, a 12-pack of tacos, and champagne flutes filled with Twisted Freezes.

Between Feb. 14-26, couples can enter this new  “Love and Tacos Contest and Happily Ever Crashers Sweepstakes through Twitter or Instagram by posting a 30-second video of themselves and sharing their love story with the hashtag #LoveAndTacosContest

Once the entry window closes, fans across the US can vote on which couple they’d like to see tie the knot for free. Taco Bell will then pick the winner on March 16 and fly them, a plus one, and a guest who voted out to Vegas to be a part of the wedding.

If you’re one of the many who didn’t get picked, don’t stress. Taco Bell is also offering a $600 wedding package this summer, which can be purchased by any visitor to the Cantina. Within four to six hours of purchasing the package, you can instantly tie the knot.

The Las Vegas Cantina is a 24-hour Taco Bell flagship store that offers full restaurant service as well as alcoholic Freeze drinks, has a DJ booth, and a second-floor lounge.

Imagine ordering a wedding right off the Taco Bell menu there.

Disclaimer: Taco Bell has been a paid partner in the past, though not in this particular editorial piece.
