Gushers Brings a Shoe to the ‘Metaverse’ That Can Be Won IRL

The Metaverse is getting everyone involved from all industries — real estate, fashion, gaming, art and even sandwiches now. Now arguably the best lunchbox snack you could ask for, Gushers, has shoes coming to the Metaverse. That isn’t something I don’t think any of us ever expected to say.

The flavor bursting gummy from our childhoods has partnered with Italian design studio, RAL7000STUDIO, to design a high-top shoe that embodies all the unique elements of a Gusher. These are only available at the virtual shopping experience from Complex’s upcoming Complexland, from May 25th through the 27th.

For a chance to own these shoes, participate and complete the Gusher “Sole Quest,” where you can put the kicks on your avatar and unlock the chance to win a pair.

Each pair will feature:

  • A removable and transparent Gushers splash patch that attaches over the laces of the shoe and allows the wearer to make a bold statement that embodies the “Let Your Sole Out” spirit.
  • A colorful Gushers gem-shaped mold filled with Gushers goo on the lateral side.
  • A rainbow outsole inspired by Gushers flavors.
  • The bottom of the Gushers sneaker includes the Gushers logo on the right outsole and the words “Let Your Sole Out” on the left.

Fans looking to cop should take note that the Patrón x John Geiger GF-01 sneakers will be dropping tomorrow, May 5, at 5 p.m. ET on JohnGeigerCo.com, while supplies last, and retail for $250.00.

M&M’s and adidas Link Up For New Sneaker Collab

Iconic candy brand M&M’s is collaborating for the first time with sportswear giant adidas to produce a sweet take on the adidas Originals Forum Low 84.

With M&M’s universally known for its brash and bold colors, it only makes sense that the Forum Low comes in a vibrant yellow and brown colorway — an obvious nod to the candy’s packaging. From there the list of details on this limited edition shoe read like a CVS receipt: six extra laces, attachable details like colorful lace locks and branded hangtags, co-branded insoles, an “M” perforation on the toebox, all inside an M&M-themed box.

You can cop the new M&M’s x adidas Originals Forum Low 84 on adidas CONFIRMED on April 19, for $150.00USD.

Starbucks And Nike Collaborate To Create A Beautiful Pair Of Sneakers

Nike and Starbucks, two of the biggest brands in the world (ranking in at 17 and 67, respectively), have teamed up in order to bring us the next pair of shoes we don’t need but dammit we want.

This isn’t the first time two giants from the food and fashion industry have collaborated, and certainly won’t be the last.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium Starbucks edition shoes have a brown suede-looking canvas with subtle, streaky swirls of khaki, made to mimic both the steam coming off of a fresh cup of coffee and the wrinkly, rich brown tone of a handful of coffee beans. The Nike Swoosh is painted in classic white with the standard Starbucks green outline, along with the heel, tongue and base of the shoes.

The shoes are available now for a limited time in select Nike retailers. These shoes, as do many of the shoes in the Nike SB Premium line, retail at $100. Personally, I think the shoes look dope as hell, and I would buy them for the clean-looking color scheme alone. Of course, I would try to get away with calling them the Andes Mints Edition or something, because “Starbucks shoes” is just too much.
