Kate Upton & Snoop Dogg Team Up for Hot Pockets Music Video

IMG_1751_All

In the last few years, Kate Upton has been in practically everything. The model, and sometimes actress, has almost become a household name with her commercials, magazine covers and movie appearances.

Hot Pockets, in their latest marketing campaign, just released a video starring (surprise surprise) Kate Upton herself. And you know what? It’s not that bad, entertaining even. “You Got What I Eat” is a direct spoof of Biz Markie’s classic hit “Just a Friend.” The spoof plays up the battle between Hot Pocket’s “meat” and crust” in a cheesy 90s-esque music video. Also starring Snoop Lion Snoop Dogg, the clip features cameos from Larry King, Bow Wow, Oliver Cooper, YouTube sensation Kevin “KevJumba” Wu and features the voice of none other than the Clown Prince of Hip-Hop Biz Markie himself.

Overall, it’s a hilarious mash up of characters, flying sheep, rainbows, and  gratuitous shots of food porn.

So what do you guys think? Does it measure up to Biz Markie’s original song and video?

As for me? I know it’s already gonna be stuck in my head all day.

Carl’s Jr. Claims Kate Upton Campaign a Success: 120,000 Additional Facebook Likes

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brands have long had a reputation for outputting some sexy, star-studded commercials to promote new menu offerings. Their latest promotional vehicle, Kate Upton, was no exception, netting both Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Facebook Fan pages over 120,000 new Likes since the initial ad aired. Carl’s Jr’s Facebook page alone now sees over 1 million Likes.

The partnership between Kate and the CKE brands was part strategic, part serendipitous. When she was signed on as the spokeswoman, neither CKE nor Kate herself knew she would be chosen as the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model. That announcement, which was made less than two weeks after the commercials were shot, undoubtedly hep propel interest in all things related to Kate, including her Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s ads.

Hardees.com brand site reported a 104 percent increase in site visits (over the previous week) once their :60 Director’s cut video was posted. Carlsjr.com reported an 83 percent increase in visits in the same scenario. The brother-sister brands have also noted that more than 5,000 tweets have mentioned the product, Kate (@KateUpton), the ad, @CarlsJr and @Hardees. The campaign has also received parody from the likes of Hulk Hogan and Jay Leno.

The :60 Director’s cut video has garnered the better part of 4 million views on YouTube. There’s still no word on the sales of the Southwest Patty Melt, but it looks like there’s been some decent brand recognition resulting from the campaign.

What do you think of Kate Upton as the new Carl’s Jr. spokesperson?

Hulk Hogan Doing a Terrible Impression of Kate Upton Eating a Burger [VIDEO]

Hulk Hogan is an iconic wrestler, but a Kate Upton-like burger eater he is not. SomehowCarl’s Jr. and Hardee’s got into a virtual ‘challenge’ that resulted in the Hulkster making this much-too-long video sensually ‘eating’ a burger.

Interestingly enough, he does it much worse than Kate, and it’s not even the new Southwest Patty Melt he’s chomping on. Not sure what ladies are being impressed here, but it’s worth a giggle or two to see such terrible burger eating form in action:

Here is Kate Upton Sizzling in Carl’s Jr.’s Southwest Patty Melt Commercial [VIDEO]

Earlier this month it was announced that Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s had inked a deal with Kate Upton to promote their new Southwest Patty Melt. The 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model was chosen for her classically sexy looks, and from the looks of the new “Drive In” commercial, she was also chosen for her terribly inefficient and arguably ultra-sexy burger eating style.

I guess the only question left to ask is, how does Kate Upton rank among the other Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s girls? Kim Kardashian? Paris Hilton? Padma LakshmiAudrina PatridgeAlmost Olivia Munn?

Speak on it in the comments!
