Applebee’s Is Making Dollar-Priced Mixed Drinks With JOLLY RANCHERS

Anyone who has attempted to make vodka infusions before, knows one of the most popular ways to create one is with hard candy. The sugars, flavors, and colors from the treats transfer quite easily over to the alcohol, creating sweet shots of alcohol that generate the buzz at whatever function you’re turning up to.

Applebee’s is capitalizing on that infusion concept with their newest bargain alcohol deal: Dollar-priced drinks that take vodka and infuse it with various Jolly Ranchers.

The originator of dollar drink deals, Applebee’s is banking on everyone’s love of Jolly Ranchers and putting two of the more popular flavors into a vodka-based cocktail. Selling them in 10-ounce mugs these “Dollar Jollys” in Green Apple and Cherry versions will be available for the entire month of December.

Although they’re called “Dollar Jollys,” each participating location may vary their availability and price, according to a press release.

As a little side bonus, each of these drinks will come with an additional Jolly Rancher hard candy for an extra hit of sweetness. Like Jolly Ranchers tend to do, the drink will change the color of your tongue, which may prove for further entertainment to the rest of your squad.

Irish People Try Jolly Ranchers For The First Time [WATCH]

When it comes to candy, Jolly Ranchers are one of the few we truly enjoy at any time of year. The fruit-flavored sweet comes in a variety of forms such as hard candy, jelly beans, lollipops, and gummies. If we had to pick, green apple Jolly Ranchers are the embodiment of candy itself.

The folks over at Facts decided to try the iconic confectionary for themselves, and rallied together a panel of lads and lasses to taste the sweets for the very first time.

Candy flavors include Fruit n’ Sour, Cinnamon Fire, Blue Raspberry Soda, and Awesome Twosome Bites.

Check out the video to see this group of Irish citizens get a sugar rush on camera and voice their opinions on the variety of Jolly Rancher flavors they toss in their mouths.

After all that candy, they’ll probably be wanting something pretty savory to even out all that sweetness. Might we recommend a heaping helping of shawarma fries?

Jolly Rancher Pop-Tarts Are Here And Our Sweet Tooth Is ACHING For Some

Pop-Tarts is collaborating with Jolly Rancher to offer three of the candy brand’s most iconic flavors in a breakfast pastry form that you can pop into the toaster at a moment’s notice.

Because who says you can’t have candy for breakfast?

The Kellogg’s brand of toaster pastries has released three limited-time flavors, all of which draw inspiration from a different Jolly Rancher flavor.

Frosted Cherry Jolly Rancher Pop-Tarts have a tart cherry filling, the Frosted Green Apple is stuffed with that familiar sweet & sour apple flavor, and the Frosted Watermelon Pop-Tart draws from arguably the best Jolly Rancher fruit flavor.

The new flavors hit participating grocery retailers this month and will stick around for a limited time.

Personally, we’re huge fans of the watermelon one.

Sonic’s New Slushes Feature Crushed Jolly Ranchers And Pop Rocks-Like Candy

Sonic has now added two candy options to its Slushes menu. The popular drive-in chain is letting customers add popping candy (kind of like Pop Rocks) and Jolly Ranchers to their Slushes.

For a limited time, Sonic patrons can get their hands on the new Kevin Durant-inspired Slushes. According to BusinessWire, NBA star Kevin Durant is now the chain’s “Brand Ambassador.” If that means more items with crushed candy inside, then you won’t hear any complaints from us.

When Sonic’s Slushes first arrived on the menu, last year, only Nerds and rainbow candies were available.

Guests can choose from 28 different flavor combinations. Slushes can also be purchased for half off during “Happy Hour” at participating locations.

Krispy Kreme Reveals Jolly Rancher-flavored Chiller Drinks

Through August 22, Krispy Kreme will be offering up Jolly Rancher Krispy Kreme Chillers at participating U.S. and Canadian retail stores. Flavors include Green Apple, Watermelon, or Cherry Orange. Fans of the hard-candy will enjoy this frozen experience. Too bad my favorite Lemon flavor was curiously not included, perhaps due to its similarity to frozen lemonade?

Four Loko Home Brew: Make “Black Out in a Can” at Home!

With Four Loko bans taking effect all over the country, it seems people are frantically searching for solutions to get their Four Loko fix in some unconventional ways. For the staff, it seems working out of the New York area has dealt them a blow in terms of their Caffeinated Alcoholic energy supply with the recent New York ban of Alcoholic Energy Drinks throughout the state.

What’s a Four Loko junkie to do? These guys have pieced together a janky, but reasonably acceptable recipe for a homemade version of Four Loko utilizing 5 Jolly Rancher candy pieces (change the flavor depending on the flavor Four Loko you want to imitate), a caffeine pill, a can of Sprite, a 40 oz. bottle of St. Ides and a Monster Energy drink as the base. We’ve got a video for your recipe needs!

Craving: Jolly Rancher Screaming Sours

I had a full bag of these gummy sour delights last week following a trip to Fry’s Electronics with my buddy Marc. Little did I know I consumed the better half of 1,000 calories in the bag I took on, but, it was 1,000 calories well worth it. The flavors pictured above are the wondrous Apple, Cherry, Orange and Watermelon, each more luscious than the next. If you don’t have a Fry’s Electronics near you, you can pick some up direct from the CandyWarehouse.

Jolly Rancher Holiday Pops

Jolly Ranchers are epic. They are synonymous with my youth. My teachers used to award them, in their minaiture goodness, to any student who was academically worthy…and the few times that I was, I was rewarded with this sweet, yet tangy delight. Now with the holidays, the Jolly Rancher team has put out a special Jolly Rancher Holiday Pops treat bag. Get out to stores and get them while you can…everyone needs to feel special. No?
