JEFF’S TABLE: If Chef’s Table Had An Episode For ‘S’mores’ This Would Be It

Man’s greatest invention is arguably fire. The why behind fire’s inception has been speculated with many theories, but newsflash — it was to create s’mores. Look it up. Or not. Or better yet, watch this latest installment of Jeff’s Table highlighting the mighty fireside munch.

Since the dawn of time — or at least since Hershey’s chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows have been around — man has turned to s’mores as the go-to snack to ease their fears from a potential bear mauling or countless mosquito bites while out on any campfire excursion. You’re at the beach? Well the fire pit is never THAT far from a Great White’s bite.

But relax, worry about the bite that will introduce your mouth to a particular kind of fire reserved for the power of magma and the surface of the sun. Yet no matter how much our tastebuds are left in ashes after the first, premature bite into that melty chocolate, gooey marshmallow, and crunchy cracker, we always want… s’more.

I had to. I’ll be here all week. Good night.

JEFF’S TABLE: Lunchables, The Original Deconstructed Meal

Not many realized this back then, but Lunchables were the penultimate status symbol of the lunchroom. Yes, the grandaddy of deconstructed meals was an indicator that you had the advantage when bartering for other lunch items or simply were going to attract more friends than usual during lunch. The latest episode of Foodbeast’s docu-series, Jeff’s Table, does much to represent that notion.

The currency of mini bites of processed ham and cheese along with a sip of Capri Sun had much buying power, whether it be of other foods or even of companions, was determined in the hands of the one wielding such might.

Is it the infantile iteration of hors d’oeuvres? Sure. But everybody loves to love infants. And those tiny, bite-sized meals on the go can be just as cute. The mini is much to love, if you think about it.

JEFF’S TABLE: Savor The Untempered Heat Of The Hot Pocket

They say the perfect steak is cooked to 135 degrees, but the perfect Hot Pocket? Cooked to the surface of the sun.

No truer words describe the subject of the newest edition of  Foodbeast’s Docu-series Jeff’s Table.

The freezer-to-table insta-meal is a medley of meat, cheese, and sauce in a flakey crust. Combined with the divine fire that only a 1,000-watt appliance can produce.

While there aren’t many constants in life, there are two certainties when consuming a Hot Pocket. The first is you’re going to satiate any hunger pangs you feel by the third bite. The second, you’re going to burn your tongue.

A small price for the unfettered sensations your palate will experience for a fraction of a second.

Take a seat, enjoy our latest episode of Jeff’s Table, and perhaps treat yourself to a nice cold glass of liquid luxury we fondly refer to as chocolate milk.

JEFF’S TABLE: The Most Important Meal Of The Day, A Bowl Of Cereal

It’s been said that pouring out one’s feelings is an act deemed to be of the utmost form of therapy. Whoever said that must have never poured out their favorite cereal into a bowl.

Listen, breakfast is your thing. If it isn’t, you’re only lying to yourself. I mean, how could it not be your thing when it features a Rogue’s Gallery of notorious hunger pang killers like pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, French toast, and number one with a bullet, a bowl of cereal.

The breakfast vibes not working on you? Fine. Because a quick and easy meal at any time of the day is but a brief cereal pour away from instant satisfaction.

And any meal that offers the possibility of a neat toy tumbling into your bowl is our kind of sweepstakes.

At this point you really have no more excuses to grab a seat at Jeff’s Table and share a bowl of sugary comfort with him. So jump start your day with a jolt of saccharin and dairy and thank Jeff for allowing you to enjoy with him this bowl of sweet bliss.

JEFF’S TABLE: Grilled Cheese, Your Favorite Sandwich’s Favorite Sandwich

Cheese, sliced bread, butter. To tastebuds, this is their holy trinity. Apply heat and you’ve got a godsend to your palate.

For a sandwich as simple as the venerable grilled cheese, its level of satisfaction far surpasses the effort put into making quite possibly the GOAT of sandwiches. And that’s perfectly fine. Simplicity can bring about a purity in greatness. When the formula works, why shake things up for the sake of predictable mediocrity?

They say The Roaring Twenties was but a mere meow before the modern version of the grilled cheese sandwich originated during that time. We totally get it. You know who else does? Jeff and his blank canvas of a table. Watch as Foodbeast’s latest episode of Jeff’s Table spotlights the work of art that is a perfect grilled cheese sandwich.

Grab a seat at Jeff’s Table and share in all the melty, crunchy goodness. And make sure to stay tuned for further taste-triggering episodes.

If you’re the type to be activated by the oozy awesomeness of melted cheese (which you probably are because oozy melted cheese), make sure to check out Ooozefest ’16 this weekend, on the 15th and 16th.

JEFF’S TABLE: Chocolate Milk Is Liquid Luxury

The progress of humankind can be measured by significant touchstones throughout its history: the invention of the wheel, the harnessing of electricity, the wonder of aviation, the creation of the internet, and chocolate milk.

Yes, chocolate milk.

For hundreds of years folks had been going about their business, drinking milk straight, sans pizzazz, not knowing any better how much tastier their favorite beverage could be with a little infusion of cocoa. It wasn’t until the 1700s when milk late bloomed and high key evolved into the decadent drink we indulge in today: chocolate milk.

Could it be through sorcery or outerworld molecular gastronomy that milk levels up into the luxurious liquid that is chocolate milk? In Foodbeast’s third episode of Jeff’s Table, a docu-series dignifying the everyday home cook, Jeff searches for the answer to such a question.

Pull up a seat at Jeff’s Table to check out previous episodes. Also, make sure to check in next week to see the newest segment in the series. What magnificence will Jeff present at his table next?
