Miller Lite Reveals Limited Edition J Balvin-Inspired Pints

J Balvin is once again lighting things up via his partnership with Miller Lite. The Colombian hitmaker gave the beer brand’s packaging a neon makeover.

Fans can now buy the new limited-edition Miller Lite aluminum pints available nationwide featuring Balvin’s signature lightning bolt, bright electric hues, and whimsical sketches. They can also win a chance to hang with the artist himself.

The pint packaging collaboration is part of Miller Lite and J Balvin’s partnership, which was announced last year with the rallying cry of “Es Jose Time,” a play on the beer’s long-standing “Miller Time” concept inspiring drinkers to drop the BS and enjoy a beer as their true selves with their real friends. The partnership kicked off with an exclusive run of J Balvin inspired cans, which were so well received, they chose to make the design available nationwide with these limited-edition pints.

“The goal of the collaboration is to celebrate authenticity and inspire others to celebrate themselves,” said Sofia Colucci, Vice President, Miller Family of Brands.

As part of the limited-edition launch, Miller Lite and J Balvin are giving fans a chance to enjoy Miller Time through a virtual meet-and-greet with the star, plus a year’s worth of Miller Lite. Now through April 15, fans can scan the QR code on packaging to enter for a chance to win this Es Jose Time package.  

The limited-edition pints will be sold nationally in 15- and 9-packs now through May.

J Balvin Wants To Buy You A Beer For New Year’s

New Year’s Eve 2021 is shaping up to look more like New Year’s Eve 2020 than many had hoped. Miller Lite and J Balvin want to help you prep for your parties ahead of time so that small business owners can close up shop early to be with their own friends and family via The Closed for Miller Time.

Instead of shopping on New Year’s Eve, customers (in eligible states) can buy a 6-pack courtesy of Miller Lite and J Balvin between Sunday, December 26 and Thursday, December 30. Consumers can claim their beer rebate by visiting MillerLite.com/NYE and uploading their receipt. 

The Closed for Miller Time is part of Miller Lite and J Balvin’s partnership, which was announced earlier this year. To announce the partnership, the pair surprised fans by taking over a traditional bodega and immersed unsuspecting shoppers in J Balvin’s version of Miller Time — spending time with his close friends and family.

“What I love about my partnership with Miller Lite is that it’s all about giving back to the community, having a good time and connecting with your people,” said J Balvin. “Everyone deserves to celebrate this New Year’s Eve and enjoy some Miller Time with their family and friends. All you have to do is stock up on your beer ahead of the night at your favorite local spot, and we’ll take care of the rest to support a good cause.”

To continue the support of a cause very close to the duo, Miller Lite will donate $50K to the Accion Opportunity Fund, a total of $100K to date through the partnership with J Balvin. The nonprofit provides affordable capital, educational resources, coaching, and networks to small business owners and advances racial, gender, and economic justice for all.

McDonald’s Releases Limited-Edition J Balvin Merch Collection

Last week, McDonald’s added a new J Balvin celebrity menu collaboration to their menus nationwide where fans can order reggaeton artist J Balvin’s favorite McDonald’s meal: A Big Mac, fries, and an Oreo McFlurry.

The fast-food chain has dropped a limited edition line of J Balvin-inspired merchandise that fans can order for themselves to coincide with the new release. 

This includes hoodies, a bucket cap, slippers, t-shirts, aprons, and even a temporary receipt tattoo with J Balvin’s order on it. Yes, that’s a thing. 

Fans of the artist, or just any kind of McDonald’s apparel, can find the new items now at JBalvinMerch.Com. The J Balvin meal will be available at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide until Nov. 1.

McDonald’s Announces J Balvin Will Be Next Celebrity Collab, Following Travis Scott

Last month, the Travis Scott x McDonald’s menu collaboration took the Golden Arches by storm, becoming an immensely popular order. On the heels of that success, the company has now announced the next artist they’ll be teaming up with for a custom combo.

Reggaeton artist J Balvin will officially be the celebrity “order” for October. The J Balvin meal will consist of a Big Mac, medium fries and ketchup, and an Oreo McFlurry.

In an uncanny coincidence, this was my break time order while I worked at McDonald’s in my college years, just with extra Big Mac sauce for my fries.

The most nominated artist for this year’s Latin Grammys, J Balvin, was also recently named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020. Not a bad year.

To celebrate the collaboration, McDonald’s employees will also sport J Balvin uniforms. Customers who order the meal through the McDonald’s app will also get the McFlurry for free.
