Honoring The Most Interesting Man In The World With His Best Lines

He once took a trip to the Virgin Islands. Now they’re just called “The Islands.”

For the last decade, Jonathan Goldsmith has been seen on television portraying the life of a man so amazing and intriguing that he is simply known as…the most interesting man in the world.

After so many golden one-liners over the years, the geniuses at Dos Equis that employed him have finally decided to put the longstanding campaign to rest. In what might be the most honorable departure the world has ever known, Dos Equis put the man on a rocket ship and sent him to Mars, which I am led to believe is the equivalent to sending a regular old guy to a retirement home.

His notoriety is so well-known and popular that there was even a meme created out of him.

He is truly a spectacle to behold and a living legend. In order to properly honor him and all the crazy, borderline superhuman things he’s capable of, Livin3 put together a collection of his 100 greatest and funniest accomplishments:

Here’s a Cookbook You Literally Have to Slice Open to Read

cookbk

Because knife skills are the first thing you learn in culinary school, Escuela de Cocina Carulla cooking school in Bogota, Columbia created this unique introductory cookbook to test their students’ knowledge, cut by cut.

Designed by Ogilvy & Mather Bogota, the cookbook makes students work for their recipes by requiring them to literally slice through their workbook pages. By following precise lines, the perforated guides help to ensure the students learn to make clean cuts.

Sounds easy enough right?

When successful, the student is rewarded with a recipe, ensuring they keep up with the rest of the class. If they somehow manage to completely avoid the knife guidelines,  a Rachel Green unintentional recipe mash-up might ensue.

English Trifles and Shepard’s Pies don’t mix kids.

Keep your knives handy, because of the immense popularity of this hands-on cookbook a second edition is on the way. Allez cuisine!

Craving: Cheeseburger with Basalmic Jam

I’ve had some interesting burgers in my day, but nothing compares to this one. This is a grilled grass-fed beef burger with St. Andre cheese, fig-rosemary-basalmic jam with arugula. That’s right, fig-rosemary-basalmic jam. I wonder how that would be on toast. (Thx FPD)
