There, expect a bird that’s marinated in a special spiced brine anywhere from 24 to 48 hours, depending on its size. A number of their spices are even ground fresh in house to ensure freshness and peak flavor.

Spicy Alfredo Fried Chicken Is Olive Garden’s Latest Hype Creation

The United States is obsessed with hot chicken at the moment, whether it be the fiery heat of Nashville Hot or the spicy sweetness of Hot Honey. Olive Garden’s contribution to the trend makes it even more decadent, as their new crispy chicken tenders are coated in a fiery Alfredo sauce.

A very recent addition to the chain’s appetizers lineup, the Spicy Alfredo Chicken is coated in its namesake sauce. The piquant sauce gets its spice from cherry peppers, which balances with the alfredo in a blend of flavors that is as luxurious as it is picante.

In case you need more decadence on the side, the chicken comes with a side of regular Alfredo, which the tenders can be dipped into for a more delectable version of Ranch Dressing.

An order of the Spicy Alfredo Chicken has a starting price of $8.99, and comes with six tenders.

Olive Garden has found other ways to play with their alfredo as well. They have a new Chicken Alfredo Pizza Fritta on the menu that is essentially chicken alfredo (minus the fettuccine) in a fried pizza pocket. The only extra addition to mix of chicken and alfredo is a three-cheese blend.

It comes with marinara and alfredo for dipping, and is a limited-time dish available for $6.99.

The BRICK: Howlin’ Ray’s New Deep Fried Nashville Hot Grilled Cheese

It’s expected to be caught in a three-hour line when you’re visiting Howlin’ Ray’s — the spot that put Nashville hot chicken on the Los Angeles map. If you haven’t already been to the fried chicken hotspot, the never-ending crowd is a clear indicator that this place knows how to do hot chicken proper. Paired with an ambrosial dish like their newest Nashville Hot Grilled Cheese aptly named “The Brick,” Howlin’ Ray’s may have discovered the recipe to double their wait time — and we’re totally fine with that.

Now, when we say it’s a next-level version of grilled cheese, that’s not something to be taken lightly.

Photo: Marc Kharrat | Foodbeast

The Brick first begins as a double sliced grilled cheese sandwich, which is then battered and deep fried until its crunch can be heard from neighboring Little Tokyo. It is then seasoned the exact same way the restaurant’s famous hot chicken is, with patrons able to choose the level of heat they want for their sandwich.

If lactose intolerant folks ever had to pick a moment to pop a Lactaid pill, it’d be for this.

Howlin’ Ray’s also offers a secret-menu variation of their cheese fries, as if all that cheesiness wasn’t enough to entice you. Guests can actually ask the restaurant to load your fries with hearty chunks of Nashville hot chicken, coleslaw, pickles, and a shower of their special “Comeback Sauce.”

Grilled cheese and hot chicken aficionados may want to set an afternoon aside to sink their teeth into The Brick. Regardless of wait times, Howlin’ Ray’s is definitely an experience you don’t want to rush — especially with the debut of that glorious new sandwich. Just make sure to come with clear calendars and empty stomachs. You’ll leave happy, albeit with a well-earned layer of perspiration.

Ansel utilizes one of his more popular pastries, the Kouign Amann, as the canvas for pieces of crispy fried chicken coated in a spicy hot sauce. Dominique Ansel is one of the more famous purveyors of this pastry, making his newest item a unique contribution to the hot chicken sandwich movement while still retaining the refinement of his French baking expertise.

The Kouign Amann fried chicken sandwich is available at Ansel’s Los Angeles restaurant, 189 by Dominique Ansel. It’s part of a brief Burger Picnic Pop-Up happening from March 12th to March 16th, from 11:30 am – 2 pm daily. The sandwich comes with fries, and costs $15.

KFC Tests A Sweeter Honey Version Of Their HOT CHICKEN

Last year, Kentucky Fried Chicken released their variation of Nashville Hot Chicken and we were shocked at how good it was. Unfortunately, the Georgia Gold Chicken that followed wasn’t as great. Now, it looks like the house that secret herbs and spices built is adding another variation of hot chicken to their menu.

KFC announced that they’re testing a new flavor called Hot Honey Chicken at select locations in the East Coast.

The extra crispy chicken blends golden honey with mild peppers to create a Honey Hot sauce that marries the sensations of sweet and spicy. Patrons can get the chicken on Extra Crispy Tenders, Chicken Littles, and Extra Crispy Chicken.

Those looking to try the new flavor can expect them at select restaurants in the Norfolk, VA, and New York state areas.

If it’s anything like the Nashville Hot Chicken, we pray they make a wider release.

Shake Shack Is Dropping A New Hot Chicken Sandwich Soon And We Can’t Wait

We already know that Shake Shack goes above and beyond when it comes to quality across their entire menu. They were the only place not dedicated to fried chicken to make our top 10 list for fast food fried chicken spots because of the TLC that goes into their perfect version of what most places treat as a throwaway item. Shake Shack’s newest take on fried chicken appears to maintain that same level of respect to the crispy bird game.

The East Coast burger institution is hopping on the spicy chicken bandwagon with their brand new Hot Chick’n sandwich. Shake Shack is turning up the heat on their normal buttermilk fried chicken breast with a dusting of guajillo chili and cayenne pepper blend. Louisiana hot sauce slaw and dill pickles complement this simple but fiery sandwich.

If you’re hoping to get a taste of it, you can find it at any Shake Shack not in an airport or stadium starting August 1st. Hopefully, when we go try it for the first time, the line’s not as long as it is at Howlin’ Rays.

This Guy Hacked Hot Chicken & Pickle Chips And We’re Obsessed

The best part of any Nashville Hot Chicken dining experience is arguably the red-hot skin and the refreshing cool of the accompanying pickle slices. Can you imagine an appetizer that combined those two elements in one convenient bite, though?

Josh Elkin, Montreal’s Magistrate of Maple, dreamt up what no one before him dared to: Hot Chicken Skin Pickle Chips.

After removing the skin from a chicken breast, Elkin wraps it around a thick pickle slice and coats it in egg wash and flour before dunking them into white-hot cooking oil. Then, he combines a plethora of hot spices to create the Nashville Hot Chicken sauce.

The idea was first brought up on a Friend Chicken episode trip to Howlin’ Ray’s, a widely popular Los Angeles Nashville Hot Chicken Joint.

Check out the video for a step-by-step on how to bring these crispy beauties to life.

Think I need to hang out with this guy more. It’s rare to find someone who’s down for breakfast 24/7 and can lull you to sleep with his sweet rhetoric.

How To Make Nashville Hot Chicken At Home [WATCH]

There’s something about Nashville Hot Chicken we can’t put our finger on. The salty crunch from the skin, the flesh that oozes with juice the moment you bite down, and the sweat-inducing heat that wakes your very soul up with excitement.

With only a handful of reputable spots that actually make the mouthwatering style of chicken in our area, it’s pretty difficult to get our Hot Chicken fix without having to stand hours in line.

Luckily, YouTuber’s HellthyJunkFood decided to show us how to make Nashville Hot Chicken from the convenience of your own kitchen. With some help from fellow YouTubers Dudes N Space, the duo set out to create this hot ticket piece of poultry.

While they decided to do chicken breast tenders for some reason, we assume the process is exactly the same for bone-in chicken pieces.

Check out their recipe in the video above. Not gonna lie, this looks pretty damn good. Going to have to follow this recipe to the “T” to see if it tastes as good, too.
