Carl’s Jr. Introduces MASSIVE Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are coming after McDonald’s with the introduction of a new rib sandwich.

The new Baby Back Rib Burger boasts a charbroiled beef patty, crispy onions, pickles, and de-boned baby back ribs slathered in Cattleman’s Original BBQ Sauce, all served between two brioche-style buns, Brand Eating reports.

Because McDonald’s McRib isn’t technically a boneless rib (more like a rib meat patty), Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are set to become the first major fast food chain to offer boneless rib meat on their menus. BBQ lovers can rejoice now that they’ll be able to roll into a drive-thru and get their rib fix within minutes.

The rib meat was sourced from rib makers Bubba-Q’s Boneless Ribs, who appeared on Shark Tank a few years ago.

Patrons of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s can find the new burger on April 27 at participating restaurant locations nationwide. Hopefully the real-life burger looks as promising as the official photo.

We’ve been burned before.

Carl’s Jr. Is Literally Blowing Up Their Old Advertising This Weekend

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s really want to move on from their advertising model of the past. They’re going to get rid of their old brand image by literally obliterating it.

Their parent company, CKE Restaurants, announced in a press release that they will be teaming up with creative ad agency 72andSunny and YouTube channel “The Slow Mo Guys” to blow up everything that represents the past advertising model. This event, titled “The Purge,” will be live-streamed on Twitch this Saturday from 2-4 pm PDT and hosted by the Slow Mo Guys and CKE’s new characters, Carl Hardee Sr. and Jr.

Everything from mechanical bulls, a giant crate of bikinis, flammable tanning oil, and meat-scented cologne are all up for annihilation as fans watching the live stream can choose what and how it will get wrecked. Rocket launchers, forklift trucks and even Jr.’s ex-girlfriend are some of the options available for viewers to select to demolish stuff with.

All of the destruction will be captured in slow-motion and available on instant replay by the Slow Mo Guys as well to create an epic montage of explosions and chaos.

The livestream represents the brand’s desire to have fun with its past, but also to trash it and move forward with a new campaigning model that focuses on the quality and innovation surrounding food at both Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants.

Carl’s Jr. Flirting With All-Day Breakfast, Starting With Its Breakfast Burger

breakfast burger carls

The fast food breakfast wars continue, and Carl’s Jr. is dipping its toes into the “all-day breakfast” concept.

The restaurant announced Monday that its Breakfast Burger will now be available all day, at all its restaurants. according to QSR Magazine.

The Carl’s Jr. Breakfast Burger consists of bacon, eggs, hash brown rounds, a charbroiled beef patty, American cheese and ketchup. When the burger debuted 13 years ago, it was the first quick service burger to be topped with egg.

Carl’s already offers its burgers all day, but this is the first step to doing the same with their breakfast items.

Jack In The Box has offered its breakfast all day for more than 20 years, and McDonald’s followed suit in last year, finally offering most of its breakfast menu all day.

A welcoming trend in the fast food industry, as there should never be a cutoff time for bacon and eggs, so we’ll see if this leads to more menu items being served all day at Carl’s Jr.

Carl’s Jr. Is Offering ‘Three Ways’ With New Bacon Burger

Today, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s announced the launch of their new Bacon 3-Way Burger. Hmmm, they have to know they’re opening themselves to some controversy with a name like that. Although the fast food chain has been known to push the boundaries of both sex and CGI.

The burger gets its name from serving bacon three different ways: Applewood-smoked bacon, crumpled bacon pieces and bacon jam. The burger also features cheese, lettuce, tomatoes.

We picked up a couple of the burgers to try them, delicious by the way, but we still couldn’t get past that name. Here’s what some of the Foodbeast staff had to say about it:

I feel very aroused right now, and not just ’cause I’m watching porn.

It’s like they want three pigs to f*ck you.

Were they watching porn on McDonald’s WiFi when they thought of this name?

Throw some hot sauce on that bad boy and you can call it a “Devil’s three way.”

You can get the Bacon 3-Way Burger as a single patty, double patty, or a 1/3 pound Angus patty.

The New Carl’s Jr. Commercial Features Lil Dicky Sensually Eating Burgers

Earlier this year, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s announced the addition of a new kind of value menu: The $4 Real Deal. For four bucks, customers of the fast food chains get a Double Cheeseburger, a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, small fries and a drink.

Now, Carl’s Jr. has dropped a new commercial for that deal featuring rapper and value aficionado Lil Dicky. Shot with the help of 72andSunny’s LA office, the video highlights the value deal. Just a heads up, as with most Carl’s Jr celebrity commercials, there may be some intense sensuality when it comes to burger eating.

We got an early look at the TV spot, set to air early tomorrow morning, check it out!

Carl’s Jr. Combines Pretzels And Breakfast In This Epic New Sandwich

Carl’s Jr. once again makes bold strides in the game of breakfast. You may remember a while back, the fast food chain tested muffin tops as buns. Man, that was a morning. Carl’s is now shaking up the bun concept with a new, pretzel-based, breakfast sandwich.

The Pretzel Breakfast Sandwich features egg, sausage, American cheese and Swiss cheese on an Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel bun.

Carl’s just launched a commercial promoting the breakfast sandwich, giving viewers a fun look at the culture of street food vendors. The video, created with the help of ad agency 72andSunny, captures the essence of New York pretty closely.

You can now find the new Pretzel Breakfast Sandwich at any participating Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s locations. The sandwich is available for $2.99 by itself and $4.69 for a combo that includes hash browns and a drink.

Now if they only offered a nacho cheese dipping sauce for that bun.

Moonshine Burgers From Carl’s Jr. Are Hitting The Grills Today

I could sit here and make a joke about how you’re getting your food and alcohol at the same time and yada yada yada, but I won’t because I’m actually kind of stoked for this burger.

By teaming up with Junior Johnson, a hall of fame Nascar driver from the 50s and 60s turned moonshine distiller, CKE Restaurants (the company that owns Carl’s and Hardee’s) has given Johnson and his company (Junior’s Midnight Moonshine) an opportunity to combine the warm, charbroiled juiciness of a Carl’s patty with the heavy, semi-sweet glaze of the Midnight Moonshine.

The burger will be made with an Angus beef patty, and the ingredients include thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, and garlic and pepper fried onions, all drenched in the signature Midnight Moon moonshine glaze.

According to Entrepreneur, CKE Restaurants CEO Andy Puzder was digging the new burger, but tempered his expectations, saying “It knocked everybody’s socks off when we tasted it.” Still, any burger that plans to stick around on the menu must earn its keep. “You have to earn your way onto the menu.”

The Midnight Moonshine Burger will be available starting today, March 23rd in select locations nationwide and will be sold for $4.39, although prices may vary depending on location.
