For One Day, Arby’s Is Paying For Fans To Get FREE Actual Sandwich Tattoos

Photo: Peter Pham

Every brand has its hardcore fans who will go above and beyond to profess their love for the company. This could be in the form of collecting memorabilia, getting the company to help them get married, or even tattooing the logo on them somewhere.

Arby’s is giving those who want it the chance to do the latter of those three on their dime, as for one day only, they’ll cover the charges on your themed tattoo.

The sandwich chain has partnered up with tattoo artist Miguel “Uzi” Montgomery to give Arby’s fans a free tattoo of popular Arby’s menu items — all designed by Montgomery himself.

Below is a flash sheet of tattoo designs guests can choose from.

Photo: Arby’s

The one-day promotion will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Port City Tattoo in Long Beach, CA. From 11am to 8pm, the artists at Port City will be working to ensure that everyone who comes in will get their free Arby’s tattoo, though it will be limited to one tattoo per customer.

Arby’s and Montgomery created the sandwich-inspired designs as a way to give fans a way to express their love of sandwiches. They actually look pretty sweet, too.

Not too long ago, Domino’s Russia had a similar promotion (albeit reversed) where they asked fans to get a tattoo of their logo for the promise of free pizza for life. Unfortunately, they had to cut that campaign short due to the overabundance of folks willing to ink themselves for free pizza.

Still, it seems Arby’s is taking a more straightforward approach to getting their branding on fans. No promise of 100 sandwiches a year for 100 years, just a free (well-designed) tattoo. If you’re in the Long Beach area next Saturday, and want some free ink, pop your head in to Port City Tattoo. Arby’s will also be serving free sandwiches during the event.

Bud Light Promises Free Beer To Every Californian If Mexico Beats Brazil In World Cup Match

My soccer-loving colleagues have explained to me that Mexico has not advanced past the fifth round in the World Cup since 1994, being dubbed “The Curse of the Fifth.”

With Korea’s most recent win over Germany, keeping Mexico alive in the World Cup, it seems the country is one step closer to achieving that dream, though, and Bud Light raised the stakes.

Earlier this month, Bud Light tweeted that if Mexico was able to break the “Curse of the Fifth,” they’ll provide the state of California with free beer.

If Mexico beats Brazil this upcoming Monday, Bud Light will have to uphold their promise to provide the Golden State with a downpour of free beer.

Budweiser has yet to announce how and when they’ll provide that boozy promise, but we’re all on the edge of our seats hoping they deliver if Mexico beats Brazil next week.

The only thing we can be sure of, however, is that our eyes will be glued to this Monday’s match.

Häagen-Dazs’ Free Cone Day Is Back And Still Helping To Save Bees

For over a decade now you’ve been enjoying free ice cream from Häagen Dazs, but we bet you never took the time to actually learn why this blessed day comes around once a year.

It’s crazy to think that those little flying demons that we are told to stay still around are actually responsible for nearly every delicious flavor we put into our mouths.

Bees, through an incredible amount of pollination, are the sole suppliers of over 70 percent of the crops that humans rely on. Foodbeast did a write-up on what your food would look like if bees went extinct, maybe checking this out will help push you to donate instead of gorge on free ice cream all day.

And Häagen Dazs has been thanking them for 10 years as a part of their “Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees Initiative” with Free Cone Day being focused directly on thanking and supporting the bees.

While there’s no feasible way to physically thank said bees, supporting the effort in preventing their extinction is definitely the better alternative.

And what better way to support a cause than by getting free ice cream? There’s no other way and it is amazing.

On May 8th, between 4 – 8pm Häagen Dazs is coming back again with their annual Free Cone Day. Pop into a local shop and receive one free scoop of ice cream or sorbet in a cup, sugar cone or cake cone between specified hours.

The purpose of this day is to recognize the bees and their gift of pollination, without which we wouldn’t have delectable flavors like Rocky Road, mango, or even strawberry.

The fact that you’re getting a free cone might push you to actually thank the bees in a viable way, because face it, most people don’t care about anything else if free ice cream is offered.

Think of it like this, you would have paid for the ice cream at some point anyway, this way you can use whatever you thought you would have had to pay and donate it here, to help fund research in preventing the decimation of bees.

One day you might not be able to get that delicious strawberry cone again and you’ll wish you spent even a fiver helping fight for bees.

For more information on bees, here’s a great article Foodbeast did on bees and their importance in the world.

Ben & Jerry’s Wants to Thank You With Free Ice Cream

Prepare yourself for the 10th of April. Drink plenty of water the night before. Have a balanced diet the days leading up to it. Try to exercise. Most importantly, keep your sugar intake to a minimum.

Why? Ben & Jerry’s is trying to kill us all. Well, not really, but that fateful Tuesday will test the population’s self control because for that day only anyone and everyone is invited by the ice cream giant to indulge in a free cone or cup.

Now, you might not think that one cone or cup is enough to call for some changes in diet, but add in the fact that Ben & Jerry’s is ready to let people stand right back in line after they get their cone. Now you get the warning?

With 35 flavors to choose from at any Scoop Shop in the US, this calls for a full on ice-cream day-trip with anyone willing to freeze their blood.

Since 1979, Ben & Jerry’s has been doing this Free Scoop Day as a way to show gratitude to the customers that have kept them going from the start.

It’s no shock since then that the flavors of ice cream have grown, no longer are your free scoops fixated to either a chocolate or vanilla. It’s 2018, we’ve got Phish Food, my guy.

This is the best opportunity for anyone not familiar with the plethora of flavors Ben & Jerry’s offers to get a taste. There’s over 30 reasons to stand in line and spend the day eating ice cream.

Finally, An ATM That Spits Out FREE McDonald’s Big Macs

burger-stk-big-mac-01

Where do you go when you’re short on Big Macs? The Big Mac ATM, of course.

According to Metro Boston, a Big Mac-themed pop-up in Boston will feature an ATM that dispenses McDonald’s iconic burgers. Not only will the ATM feature the classic Big Mac sandwiches, but also the two new variations introduced this year: The Mac Jr. & Grand Mac.

Located at 540 Commonwealth Ave. at the Kenmore Square McDonald’s, the machine will feed patrons free burgers until Jan. 31 between the hours of 11am to 2pm each day. There will be a constant stream of fresh Big Macs loaded into the ATM on a daily basis.

Sounds eerily like one of my three wishes as a child.

If you’re in the Boston area for the next week and you’ve got some Big Mac cravings, but you’re short on cash, this is definitely a cheap option to feed your bellies.
