You don’t have to purchase anything, and there are no odd strings attached. You simply walk in, ask for a scoop of one of their non-dairy, 100% vegan certified flavors, and dig in.

For those with nut allergies, just keep in mind these flavors are made with almond milk, so that may or may not be a deal breaker for you, but for everyone else, just enjoy a scoop on the house.

Thank you, vegans.

We All Scream For Ice Cream On Häagen-Dazs’ Upcoming ‘Free Cone Day’

Häagen-Dazs is right on time for the good Spring-time weather coming with their annual “Free Cone Day” on Tuesday, May 14 from 4-8pm.  Head to your nearest Häagen-Dazs location to take advantage of this sweet offer with no strings attached.

In addition, Häagen-Dazs’ brand new “Sweet Rewards” program lets you reap the benefits of every dollar you spend on the ice cream you were going to eat anyway.  By downloading and signing up on their app, customers can unlock and redeem rewards all year round, starting with a free cone upon first purchase.

With the continued collapse of bee/pollinator populations throughout the world, Häagen-Dazs is going to great lengths to highlight the hardworking honeybees that help create our beloved ice cream flavors.  In partnership with The Xerces Society, Häagen-Dazs is in the process of earning the Bee Better Certification for some of their flavors, requiring the elimination of harmful pesticide practices and the creation of large pollinator habitats on farms.

To learn more about what Häagen-Dazs is doing to help the honeybee population, and tips on how we can help in our own way, visit their website.

Häagen-Dazs Free Cone Day Is On Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Everyone mark your calendars! Free dessert is on the way! Häagen-Dazs wants to cure your ice cream cravings this Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 by sharing a free scoop of ice cream or sorbet with visitors between 4pm-8pm at all participating locations.

This year though, Häagen-Dazs doesn’t just want to make it about the ice cream. They want to continue to raise awareness on the alarming decline in our world’s bee population.

Häagen-Dazs wants everyone to pay it forward by planting wildflowers native to their region. A third of our world’s crops are dependent on bees, and so are Häagen-Dazs’ flavors. So no bees = no almonds in the Rocky Road, no coconut in the Toasted Coconut Caramel, no raspberries in the Raspberry sorbet.

Tragic, right?

So if we want to continue having ice cream in the future — not just from Häagen-Dazs —  then we’ve all got to do our part in sustaining a world where our pollinators can thrive.

Ben & Jerry’s Is Celebrating Its Birthday By Giving Away FREE Ice Cream

Fans of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream should definitely be excited for this.

In keeping with its annual tradition of giving away free ice cream one day every year, Ben & Jerry’s has announced that it’s annual Free Cone Day will take place on the company’s anniversary, April 4th. On Free Cone Day, you’ll be able to snag a free cone with a scoop of any ice cream flavor in Scoop Shops between 12 pm and 8 pm.

The tradition began back in 1979, when co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield scraped through their first year of running an ice cream business in Burington, Vermont. They decided to thank the local community by giving out free scoops of their frozen treats.

This year, that tradition will encompass Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops worldwide, and over 1 million scoops of ice cream are estimated to be distributed as the ice cream maker’s way of saying thank you to its customers.

Some Scoop Shops will also be teaming up with local non-profits and agencies to get the word out on what they do for their respective communities. In Los Angeles, for example, Union Station location is teaming up with the LA Conversation Corps, a network that provides job skills training, education, and work experience to at-risk young adults and school-aged youth through conservation and service projects that benefit local areas. Customers who stop by for their free ice cream are encouraged to donate to the LA Conservation Corps.

Free Cone Day 2017 is Ben & Jerry’s way of saying thanks to us all and to promote non-profit efforts across the country.

I couldn’t think of a sweeter way to give back to the community.

For One Day, Dairy Queen Is Giving Out FREE Ice Cream For A Noble Cause

Who doesn’t love the chance to get free ice cream?

If you’re looking to get a free cone, Dairy Queen announced that they will be giving away one FREE small vanilla soft-serve cone per person all day long on March 20th.

While the giveaway celebrates the start of the new Spring season, there’s a bigger reason behind why the chain is giving away free cones.

Throughout the day, the participating Dairy Queen and Dairy Queen “Chill and Grill” locations will also be collecting donations for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a group of 170 hospitals across the United States and Canada that carries out around 32 million treatments per year for children.

In an official press release, American Dairy Queen Corporation’s executive vice president of marketing, Barry Westrum, said “We can’t think of a better way to show our appreciation to fans, kick off the Spring season, and support such an amazing cause than with a Free Cone Day.”

This isn’t the first philanthropic event that Dairy Queen has done with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, as they raised over $200,000 for the hospital network last year and over $120 million over the past 32 years.

A cone at Dairy Queen costs a little under $2 on average, so while you’re picking up that free ice cream cone, perhaps you can chip in that money instead to give to this worthy cause.

Ben and Jerry’s Free Ice Cream Day on April 8th

It’s the herald of spring, at least over here on the East Coast, when winter gets so cold that the thought of anything frozen gives you the shivers. However, free ice cream is coming, just two days after the Game of Thrones season 4 premiere.  These are good times my friends.

On Tuesday, April 8, anyone can grab a free scoop at Ben and Jerry’s around the world. You can even get two scoops (though you’ll have to wait in line again).  Whether you’re a loyal fan of sweet cream and cookies or you’re just dying to try some of the new Core flavors Ben and Jerry’s recently released, the world is your ice cream cone. At least for one day.
