IKEA Just Gave Away Their Famous Meatball Recipe

With everyone chilling at home these last c0uple months, many major brands have been giving way their secret recipes for home cooks to recreate without having to leave the house.

Next up in this trend is IKEA UK who just shared their famous Meatball recipe on Twitter:

The recipe itself reads like an IKEA instruction manual, which for some can be a bit of a traumatic experience. However, if you can get past that, you pretty much will have your house smelling like delicious meatballs in no time.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Meatballs

  • 500g of beef mince
  • 250g of pork mince
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic (crushed or minced)
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 5 tablespoons of whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper

Cream Sauce

  • oil
  • 40g of butter
  • 40g of plain flour
  • 150ml vegetable stock
  • 150ml beef stock
  • 150ml thick double cream
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

It should be noted that this recipe comes from IKEA UK, so we’re not entirely sure how similar they would taste to the ones in the United States. Still, the closer they are to Sweden, the more delicious they should be.

Wonder when KFC’s going to release their guarded secret recipe?

Competetive eater Furious Pete isn’t one to shy away from a challenge. Earlier this year, the mountain of a man devoured the menu items of a Costco Food court. Now, he’s taking on the same challenge at a Canadian Costco.

He went a little over, as you can see, but gets some pretty solid items. Those include slices of pepperoni pizza, poutine, a provolone turkey sandwich and a hot dog.

panda-express-mobile-ordering

Food court lines could very well become a thing of the past if fast food chains have anything to say about it. Following the mobile ordering trend, Panda Express is finally rolling out their own app nationwide.

Unlike other apps, Panda offers a special feature that allows group ordering across multiple platforms. This means you can order some Orange Chicken with Bacon, then sling the order along to your besties so they can order their favorite Panda dishes for the noms that shall ensue later. Admit it, the worst part of group ordering is trying to figure out how much everyone owes and how to make sure no one gets stiffed. Lucky for us, Panda’s new app lets each person on the order to pay their own bill towards the group order.

No word on whether the chain will join the Apple Pay movement, but for now, the Panda Express mobile ordering app is available on iOS and Android devices.
