Real Good Foods Just Debuted Low Carb Enchiladas, Here’s What We Think

A few months back, pizza lovers everywhere were introduced to Real Good Pizza, an innovative gluten-free, high-protein, low calorie pizza, with a crust made entirely from parmesan cheese and all-natural chicken breast.

With alternative diet trends gaining popularity, it’s safe to say Real Good Pizza raised some eyebrows once their line-up of low carb, high protein pizzas hit Walmart, Kroger and other stores over the past few months.

Now, the newest creation within the Real Good Food family of keto-friendly eats is a team of enchiladas that feature a similar parmesan and chicken breast crust, only this time it’s in the shape of a hand rolled tortilla.

Considering there is ONLY 4g Carbs & 20g of protein in an entire box, this uniquely crafted concept is a game changer, in the sense that it brings more variety to people looking for more protein in their diets or trying to cut back on their carbs.

Now available in beef, cheese, chicken and pork flavor, Real Good Enchiladas are NOW available at Kroger family stores across the country.

11,400 Pounds of Enchiladas Recalled Because of Plastic Pieces

Have you ever sat in the office, hard at work, and thought: “Man, I could really go for a some frozen enchiladas right about now.” Well thanks to the latest recall, 11,400 pounds of frozen chicken enchiladas won’t be filling and fulfilling the stomachs of hard-working office employees on the East Coast.

About 11,400 pounds of the frozen “Bremer Party Size White Meat Chicken Enchiladas” products were recalled by Food Source, L.P. due to the possibility they contained plastic fragments. The boxes were shipped out to stores in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New York.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service made the announcement for the recall on Tuesday after receiving two complaints about the frozen meals. Though no one was injured, hopefully the recall will keep any other contaminated boxes from harming anyone.

Now here on the West Coast, I’m off to buy some frozen enchiladas. Booyakasha.

Carl’s Jr. Enchilada Turkey Burger

During a recent late night coding binge, Rudy and I decided that we would attempt to benefit from the fusion of the local Green Burrito + Carl’s Jr. joint unit a few streets down from the office. With the launch of the chain’s new Guacamole Turkey Burgers, Rudy figured it could use a deeper level of flavors by topping it with a layer of Chicken & Cheese Enchiladas and a sprinkle of jalapeños from the salsa bar.

So much for the health aspect once promised by the under-500 calorie Turkey Burger menu. The result of our efforts? An unofficial Enchilada Turkey Burger. Here’s a look at the 1,000 calorie process:
