There’s A FROZEN 2 ICE CREAM CAKE At Your Grocery Store Right Now

When Frozen released a couple years back, it was inescapable. Olaf, Elsa, and Anna’s faces were plastered on everything from soup cans to toilet seat covers. Even if you managed to not watch the movie, the song Let It Go became a smash hit and blared from every minivan on the block. Now, years later, it appears Disney is commencing the second half of their plot for Frozen’s department store domination, as they prepare to release a Frozen 2 ice cream cake in collaboration with Carvel.

The new cake is a spinoff of Carvel’s ice cream cake that’s long been in stores. Instead of the normal white exterior, the Frozen cake features a design that mimics a snowflake.

Underneath that sits vanilla and chocolate ice cream, along with chocolate crunchies and a whipped frosting on which the aforementioned design sits.

The cake will be available for a limited time at major retailers such as Walmart, Publix, Kroger, and select others. If you want to buy one, check out this product locator to find stores nearby that carry the Frozen treat.

This Terrifying Elsa Cake Probably Ruined A Little Girl’s Birthday Party

With the popularity of Frozen, Elsa-shaped cakes are probably one of the most requested by little girls around the world, but once in a while, the baker probably says, “Screw it,” and pulls this frightening decoration.

A Reddit user posted the photo below, saying they expected the cake shown on the left. What they actually got resembled the sausage lady in Beerfest, or the lunch lady that intimidated you all through third and fourth grade.

Thankfully, it wasn’t a store-bought cake, but was baked with the help of a tutorial site called McGreevy Cakes.

Sure, baking cakes beyond the standard rectangular ones you find at the Kroger bakery can be challenging, but whoever baked this one probably should have hit the reset button.

While the attempt was valiant, next time just fork over the extra cash for a cake that won’t scare the crap out of an entire party of six-year-olds.

Do You Wanna Drink this ‘Frozen’ Snowman Cocktail from Disney Tokyo?

disney-frozen-cocktail

Yes, the Frozen train is still riding strong in Japan, where Disney Tokyo has just concocted a line of character-themed cocktails to quench guests at its Disney Ambassador and Tokyo Disneyland Hotels.

Inspired by main characters Elsa, Anna, and Olaf, the sweet drinks are available starting today until August 31 at select locations at both hotels. According to Rocket News, the Olaf is a kind of piña colada made from fresh pineapple and pineapple, passionfruit, and coconut syrups; the pink Anna offers peach nectar, strawberry syrup, blue syrup, blueberry sauce, and Calpis water. Presumably the Elsa won’t require you to weather a snowstorm or visit a bunch of talking rock trolls, but it does feature a cool blue mix of grapefruit juice, lemon juice, blue syrup, and gum syrup.

One little caveat: these darlings are non-alcoholic, meaning they won’t help you through another charming rendition of “Do You Wanna Build A — NO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE STOP SINGING ABOUT THIS MOTHEREFFING — Snowman?” from any nearby five year olds. But at least they’re cute?

Except Olaf, who looks a little as if Elsa’s snow magic decided to wear off, leaving him to slowly melt and die after jumping inside a Hurricane glass.
